Bolt

A White Shepherd puppy named Bolt is adopted by an eight-year-old girl named Penny.

Five years later, Bolt and Penny star in the acclaimed television series Bolt, in which Bolt uses a variety of superpowers to protect Penny from criminals.

To get a more realistic performance, the show's producers have been cheating on Bolt all his life, set the filming in such a way that Bolt believes everything in the show is real and that he really has superpowers, including sonic screaming like a very powerful "superbark. ".

After an episode of cliffhanger causes Bolt to believe Penny has been kidnapped, he escapes from his trailer in Hollywood but knocks himself unconscious in the process and gets trapped inside a box of foam peanuts sent to New York City.

In New York, Bolt continues his search for Penny and, much to his chagrin and confusion, finds the hard way that his "superpowers" are useless.

He meets Mittens, a stray cat who bullies pigeons from their food. Bolt forces Mittens to guide him back to Penny

Mittens believes the kidnapper is a lunatic - and the two begin their journey westward in a truck.

Meanwhile, in Hollywood, Penny is distraught over Bolt's disappearance but is convinced by the studio to continue filming with a dog that looks like a less experienced one.

Shocked by his first feeling of hunger, Bolt is shown by Mittens how to act like a cute dog to get food for the two of them in an RV park.

He tries to tell Bolt this, but Bolt gets frustrated.

Attempting to "superbark" repeatedly, the sound attracts the attention of the Animal Control patrol and Bolt and Mittens are both captured and taken to an animal shelter.

Bolt, freed from the patrol car by Rhino, finally realizes and accepts that he is just an ordinary dog, but regains his trust after Rhino (unaware of this revelation) advises him for heroism.

They rescue Mittens from the shelter, and as they continue west, Bolt and Mittens form a close friendship in which he teaches Bolt how to be an ordinary dog and enjoys a typical canine activity.

Mittens makes plans for the three of them to stay in Las Vegas, but hearing Bolt is still interested in finding Penny, he tells her that Penny is only an actor, but, and humans never really love their pets, and end up betraying and abandoning them, as happened to her.

Bolt refuses to believe him and proceeds alone to Hollywood; with Rhino's encouragement, his two friends follow shortly after.

Bolt reaches the studio and finds Penny hugging his similar face, unaware that Penny still misses him and his affection for the look-alike is just part of the rehearsal. A heartbroken Bolt leaves, but Mittens, in a gantry at the studio, sees Penny telling her mother how much she misses Bolt. Mittens follows Bolt and explains. At the same time, Bolt-like panic during the filming of the show and accidentally knocking some torches on, set the sound stage on fire with Penny trapped inside. Bolt arrives and the two reunite inside a burning studio, but are unable to escape before Penny begins to suffocate by the smoke. Penny begs Bolt to leave but Bolt refuses to leave. Bolt used a "superbark" - he went through the building's air vents, alerted firefighters to their location and allowed the two to be rescued in time.

Penny and her mother quit when their overzealous agent proposes that they exploit the incident for publicity purposes. The show continues with the substitutes "Bolt" and "Penny" and a new storyline involving alien abductions. Penny adopts Mittens and Rhino, she and her family move to a country house to enjoy a simpler and happier lifestyle with Bolt and his new pet.
