The Fall of the Star

The Fall of the Star
Chapter 21 The Tribulation of Ayudia

After about an hour of lying unconscious, Ayudia finally woke up from her stupor and opened her eyes that felt so heavy to open.

Bu Nani who had been standing guard right next to his daughter's body was immediately jolted.

“Ayudia, Son! You are aware?” she was shocked and then shouted to her husband.

“Pak! Sir, this is He's conscious!”

Mr. Anwar who was outside the ER room to talk to one of the nurses entered followed by the nurse and the guard doctor who was still standing by in the room.

Bu Nani and Pak Anwar step aside to let the medics do their work, observing Ayudia's state after waking up from fainting.

The wounds on the face and back of his hands were treated from the moment he fainted. It was very painful now that Ayudia felt. It was also a faint crumple, as if his body had just been beaten by many people. His head was dizzy half to death, although along with it there was a characteristic mild effect after fainting.

“How does he feel? Your head is heavy or dizzy?” ask the doctor while looking at the patient's face.

Ayudia only nodded because her head was willing to break. He groaned in pain and made Bu Nani and Mr. Anwar hold each other's hands to strengthen. They were very worried about the condition of Ayudia. Do not happen unwanted things, severe internal injuries for example. They were not ready to receive any more bad news. Getting the wounds on Ayudia's face just then was enough to make them horrified.

Moments later, Ayudia was moved to a wheelchair to be pushed into the X-ray room. There it is examined the whole body to see the possibility of internal injuries suffered.

“Let's wait for the results first, yes, sir, Mom. Excuse me for a moment,” said the doctor after returning to the ER room again.

“Mother ...” groaned Ayudia called Bu Nani who directly came her husband to the princess.

“Where, Son? Which side hurts? Her head?” asked the middle-aged woman confused what to ask. His heart and mind were so anxious to think about what the X-ray would be.

“Iya, it hurts so much. Ayudia why, Mom?” ask again. Looks like he forgot or something.

“You were in an accident after work, son.” Anwar sir replied.

“Accident? Over where? Did I hit someone?” asked Ayudia while closing her eyes trying to remember the incident.

Niente. He has no idea how his chronology is. His brain was twisting hard but in fact there was no memory of what happened a few hours ago.

“You don't remember what happened at all, Him? The police said you were a lone accident. No one hit or hit,” replied Mr. Anwar calmly.

“But how can Ayudia suddenly crash if not hit anything, sir?” ask Ayudia confused.

“Perhaps only too fast driving and the road is slippery after the rain, so the motorcycle tire may slip and slip maybe.” Mr. Anwar expressed what became the conclusion of the police after the TKP was done.

“Don't get on the bike, dong, Dia. You are usually the mother has always warned to slow down. What's the rush to come home in the afternoon? So it fell like this, right?” Bu Nani touched her daughter's cheek that was covered in wounds.

Spontaneous Ayudia follows the direction of her mother's touch. His hand touched his face and found a lot of wounds that had somehow made his face like what.

“This is so ... many injuries yes, Bu?” ask her while continuing to touch her face.

“No what, light and not too deep coke wound. It will definitely dry quickly and come back later,” replied Mr. Anwar to calm the princess who began to look hysterical.

“Try Him to borrow the glass, Mom?” pinta Ayudia reached out to her silent mother.

“Ehm, Where's mom ever brought glass everywhere, She. Just to his side also rushed once, aja wallet I missed.” Ms. Nani replied unkindly.

Ayudia turned to Mr. Anwar but did not ask. How could his father have brought glass?

Finally he remembered his cell phone. He asked where his phone was to the mother and he took it in the Sling bag that Ayudia used to work with.

“Nothing's broken like that, huh? I haven't checked it yet. This was handed over by the police officer who informed the mother to the house. Because of being shocked and confused, I brought her here again.” Bu Nani said what happened while Ayudia was still unconscious.

Ayudia checked in her bag. Maybe the bag was not thrown down because the contents are still intact, only the contents of the compact powder that broke but still in the container, not scatter to the outside of the packaging.

The phone is wearing a hard protector and the screen also has a screen, thankfully safe. No cracks or anything. As he turned it on in selfie camera mode to reflect how the wound on his face was, he was surprised to barely recognize who he was.

“Jeez, Mom! Who's that?” pekik Ayudia looked amazingly shocked.

“Bu! Whose face is it, Mom, sir?” ayudia asked again, hysterical on her own as one of her hands that was not holding a cell phone felt around her head. His head was not bandaged because there was no other bloody wound other than a scratch scar because his face was prone to hit the asphalt during the incident.

“Yes Allah, She. That's you, son. Who else is it?” ma'am Nani answered the same question.

Mr. Anwar was silent but the look on his face revealed anxiety. Don't-don't ....

“Before, I call the Doctor first,” said the usually patient middle-aged man.

After all, of course Mr. Anwar was very anxious about the condition of his daughter. Is it possible that his suspicions are true? Don't-don't you? O God, do not let him, he thought in silence.

He then went directly to the X-ray room to ask for the results and also wanted to ask the doctor who handled Ayudia earlier.

“How was the result of his head check, Doc? My son .. seems to have forgotten who he is. He looked up and asked who he was. Is that normal?” cerocos Pak Anwar with his anxious tone.

The doctor thought for a moment then asked permission to consult first with his partner.

“For a while, Sir. Please wait a minute. I will consult a neurologist for more details,” said the ER guard doctor who is just a general practitioner and rushed to leave Mr. Anwar glued to his place.

Mr. Anwar rubbed his face roughly while continuing to hope inwardly that his worries would not occur.

But apparently, destiny says something else. About an hour later, a doctor who was introduced by his nurse as a neurologist came to the ER room where Ayudia was still waiting for follow-up action what would be obtained after the x-ray results came out. After seeing the condition of Ayudia whose expression was still very shocked with her own face which she somehow thought was not her face, so the doctor asked to talk to Mr. Anwar alone while Bu Nani remained there to look after the princess.

“I want to explain one thing,” said the doctor who is a young man with round glasses stuck above his nose. The nurse handed over one sheet of X-rayed photo in the head to the doctor who then showed it to Mr. Anwar.

“This scene had a very hard impact like it was on the head, precisely here, yes, Mr.” The doctor pointed to one part of the photo.

Mr. Anwar watched closely as his hand held his chest as if afraid of what the doctor would tell him.

“This seems to cause concussions and disorders of the limbic system in the brain, which is the system that functions to regulate one's memories and emotions. That is why patients experience partial amnesia, which is partial amnesia. It means only part of it that he forgot but most of it still remember.”

Hearing that, Mr. Anwar squeezed his chest while beristighfar.

“Astaghfirullah, O Allah is it curable, Doc? It's a pity that my daughter is still very young,” complained Mr. Anwar almost moaned.

“Oh, I'm calm. God willing this type of amnesia will be easily cured. We will also do a CT scan later on periodically to monitor the progress of his healing. Besides the damage I see is still in a mild level and easily cured. I hope so, yes, sir. So we will advise your child to open the name first as long as it takes for thorough observation. And during that time, we hope the family continues to accompany, provide motivation and also slowly refresh memories that may have been forgotten. It will be a useful therapy once in order to accelerate healing,” explained the doctor at length.

“Good, Doctor. We will take medical action at this hospital. We are fully committed to the recovery of our daughter. Even we must also try to make Ayudia's memory return,” said Mr. Anwar with a determined tone.

And finally the four-eye meeting ended. Ayudia was transferred from the ER to a 3rd class inpatient room where four beds were reserved for four patients. But because the atmosphere of the hospital is not so crowded, lucky one room was only occupied by Ayudia itself so that Pak Anwar and Bu Nani did not feel constricted when they had to keep their daughter there all day.

Ayudia still insisted she was not the owner of that face. At first Bu Nani forced her to remember but then a warning from her husband scared her and softened her attitude. Mr. Anwar said they did not need to dispute for a while whatever Ayudia said. Later after the trauma and injury to his head has been treated and improved then can bring up many things that might be forgotten by Ayudia.

“Must be slow, Mom. Do not be forced, even his head will get sicker and even add to the trauma,” explained Mr. Anwar.

Inevitably Bu Nani nodded even though he did not, because how could he just say yes when Ayudia said her face immediately changed drastically.

'What did he think his face was like?' inner bu Nani.

Although Mr. Anwar has explained what the doctor explained, Ms. Nani is still confused about how Ayudia feels she is not the real herself.

“Kok no-anya yes, sir, ordeal for us this. Poor Ayudia,” lamented when the princess had fallen asleep after being content to cry alone and could not be made to stop.

“Sabar, Mom. This must be because God was very dear to Ayudia. Therefore, he was given many trials,” replied Mr. Anwar kindly thought to Allah.

“But, Sir. It is like a torment. If the ordeal is once twice, this is already many times,” whine Bu Nani.

“Istighfar, Mom. We must not complain until we regret such a fate. It's God's decree, we just have to sincerely undergo,” Pak Anwar's advice later.

Then he decided to go to the workshop where the used motorbike used by the Ayudia accident was brought. He had to pick it up because he had been contacted that his service was finished and ready to be taken home. He saw the contents of the money in his wallet and hoped that the money there was enough to pay the cost of the workshop later because it seemed that the damage to the motorbike was also quite severe.
