Ayudia who never held her phone again made Bu Nani worried. It was not at all like his daughter's habits. Usually as busy as anything, a cell phone is something that he will check every day.
Until there was a call many times from a contact named Elvira and not influenced by Ayudia, Bu Nani was desperate to raise the call. Who knows Elvira who had been a close friend of Ayudia knew something about her daughter that she did not know. Because sometimes teenagers can be more open when venting to his best friend than to his own parents.
“Nak Elvira? Huh hello? Sorry this is his mother He,” said Bu Nani after she answered greetings from Elvira just now.
“Oh, yes Ma'am. Where did Mom go, Mom? He's okay, right?” The voice across looked worriedly asking for an explanation.
Bu Nani took a deep breath first to calm herself down before finally continuing.
“This He's been in an accident, son El. Again sleeping now,” replied Bu Nani who immediately made Elvira nun across there shocked.
“Innalallahi! When was the accident, Mom? What condition is it now? What is in the hospital?” flocked Elvira who was immediately overwhelmed with anxiety, was heard once from the tone of her voice that was stirred.
“Iya has been in the hospital for two days. This still needs observation in his head because there was a fairly hard impact until He experienced mild amnesia,” continued Bu Nani gave a little explanation.
“Yes Allah ... amnesia, Mom?” That's all Elvira can say. His knee felt weak because of pity for a friend who some days can not be connected at all. He had already felt that something bad had happened to Ayudia, but he really did not think that it was an accident that took away his memory.
“Jeez, God willing if you go home tomorrow El will stop by to visit, Mom.”
“Iya, Son. If I could Nak El come. Who knows if the same closest friend he can remember,” pinta Bu Nani memelasengelas which of course supported by Elvira.
He then broke the connection because he could not say anything more. Coincidentally tomorrow weekend he will plan to return home so that he will immediately visit Ayudia to the hospital only later, he thought decided in his heart.
Soon he also contacted David and several other close friends to come together to visit Ayudia later. Elvira has always been the coordinator for such events among their High School friends.
And when the weekend came, there were six people who came with Elvira to the hospital where Ayudia was treated. They looked concerned and surprised at the condition of Ayudia who greeted them with a very strange expression.
Bu Nani who initially opened the door of the inpatient room Ayudia was looking calm seeing the many friends of Ayudia who came. He thought it was possible that with the presence of his friends, Ayudia would be able to recall his forgotten memories.
“Dia .. look, kid, who's coming!” said Bu Nani while inviting Elvira, David and the other four friends in. Someone brought a fruit parcell, a box of sweet bread and somehow more in the boxes that Bu Nani received.
However, Ayudia's own response was even more unexpected.
“Who are you?” ayudia asked as her body wriggled backwards as if dodging when Elvira was about to hit her, giving a hug.
Immediately a quiet room. Elvira looked at all her other friends in confusion. But then he remembered that Bu Nani said that Ayudia was losing her memory.
“Ah, it's me El, She. Elvira! You don't want me?” asked the girl while putting on a patient and painstaking expression. He actually wanted that his arrival could evoke the memory of a true friend. But, apparently not at all. And that broke his heart.
Ayudia looked at Elvira with a glare. In his head was a big question. How could anyone else be that similar to him? Because in his head now what is recorded is that he is Elvira. And the figure of Elvira who appeared right in front of him now certainly makes him more confused and his head feels like exploding so dizzy.
His hand immediately held the temple and sorted it involuntarily. It seems that Ayudia was in pain until Elvira retreated and Bu Nani also became drunk.
“Oh, forgive Him, yes, El, and others. He seemed too surprised. The doctor said never be forced to remember everything. Must be slowly. Could you please just talk outside, yeah?” pinta Bu Nani was moved as she approached her daughter and hugged trying to calm her down.
David immediately responded and half pulled Elvira's arm to take her out of the room first.
“Yuk, further. We go out first, I think he needs time to overcome his shock,” said David full of authority. His friends complied and waited outside.
Not long after, Pa Anwar came and saw them outside immediately saluting one by one because he recognized Elvira who was a friend of Ayudia.
“Kok not in? Come on, please,” invite Mr. Anwar who then explained by them the situation inside just now.
“Patience, yes, Sir. We are also very sorry to see the condition of Ayudia. We can only pray that he will recover soon and his memory will also recover as usual,” said Elvira representing her other friends.
They also sat lined up on a long bench that was provided for the patient waiting outside the room. Mr. Anwar was asked about the chronology of his accident and when he said that Ayudia single accident fell from the motorcycle after work, of course all who came were surprised and thought misheard.
“Means you're home from college?” ask a friend who only news Ayudia college but do not discuss further where the lecture. Clearly he did not know that Ayudia was working.
It seems Mr. Anwar who changed was surprised.
“No, Son. Home work. He's not in college, though. Already worked about half a year in the factory.,” refuted Mr. Anwar while mentioning the name of a large factory in the city.
Now Elvira, Davida and four other friends who look at each other shocked and confused. Why is it so ambiguous?
“Tap-but, Sir. During this time we yearya He was in college in Bandung. El often exchanged news and stories about our respective campuses even though only through phone and chat,” said Elvira who could not help but argue the explanation of Ayudia's father.
“Loh?” Mr. Anwar's face seemed unclear between who he could trust there. Obviously her son was a female employee at the factory and not a student like Elvira said just now.
“Ayudia is not going to college, son. His selection at that time failed and so he chose to work. People every day he leaves the morning home from work at the factory how can he go to college? Especially in Bandung? Duh,” said Mr. Anwar reiterated his explanation repeatedly.
Elvira gulped her saliva which was very difficult to get into the throat. So he meant ... all this time he's been lying to her? Everything they talked about Bandung, the campus, and even the majors and courses were all lies?
He had almost refuted before David pulled out his arm. It's not good that they're raising that topic now. Where the family of Ayudia is being hit by misfortune. Maybe next time you can find out what the real story is. Conditions at that time are vulnerable and not conducive.
“Ah, um, then we should go home first, yes, sir. Let Ayudia can rest first,” said David representing Elvira who still can not speak so surprised by the fact that has just been revealed.
“Oh, fine, Son. Forgive Ayudia's attitude, yes. Please understand, his head still hurts,” replied Mr. Anwar asked for a proclamation.
“Not why, Sir. We understand. Next time we will visit again, maybe if we go home,” continued David then the six young people shook hands and said goodbye while leaving greetings again for Ayudia in there and also Bu Nani.
“Gosh! I did not expect it! I think something's wrong here. He's the one who lied about what Mr Anwar was covering up, anyway?” Elvira could not resist the anger again when they reached the parking lot to go back to their homes.
“El! Please do! Obviously, he was the one who lied. Why Mr. Anwar shut up, try it! Make what!” sergah one of his friends who had been a little suspicious of the story made up by Ayudia in front of his High School friends, who had been, especially those who are far from home so they can not often meet in this city.
“Tap-but all this time so he lied to me? Lying to all of us? How can you?” Elvira still does not accept and does not believe in that reality.
“That's the fact, really. And wonder not either. He never wanted to be invited to gather to halal bihalal also our reunion. I'm always avoiding, right?” One of the other friends joined in.
“Iya right. I've also met him like he's on the streets here. It is not a holiday or weekend and it feels like hours to go to work. How can he wander around here while you always say he is busy studying part time work and even become a member of BEM? Weird, right?”
“But it's so bad the behavior, yeah. How could he possibly be so brave that he lied about college to all of us?”
“Yes, why not be afraid if there are some of us who check the truth try? Crazy person heck!”
“Then is he not afraid of sin? It does not matter if the one who is lied to is not just one or two people but many, loh.”
Each now presents Ayudia based on their own thoughts. Elvira was silent and still could not believe it. He was still not sure if Ayudia could lie to him all this time.
“We've already gone home. I never believed in Ayudia! That weird kid he is!” David who felt cheated and upset because of his lover—Elvira-so sad because it looks very angry. Unexpectedly Ayudia who had been thought to be arrogant and pretentious the most could it was also a braggart figure. Geez!
Only Elvira still held a curiosity in her own heart. However, since David and the other friends no longer want to deal with Elvira, he plans the next day before returning to his college town, he will stop by to visit Ayudia again. Who knows if he can find out the truth.
