High School Story

The bell rang, with all the students rushing home. The same is the case with Maria from earlier tracing the corridor that looks unusual as usual because it looks lonely.

Ting

The notification sound of incoming messages on Maria's phone rang, making the girl swiftly open her phone screen to check the incoming chat.

In the music room - Dev

"In the music room?" muttered Maria did not understand reading the contents of the incoming chat.

Once in the music room...

"Sister Dev." call Mary from the doorway

Dev turned his head and approached Maria with a smile.

"So why did you ask me to come here?"

"Mary, I like you a lot."

"I'm sorry, I've been so indifferent all along. But I'm actually really happy to be around you." Dev clasped Maria's hands before continuing with his "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

"I, actually, also like older sisters. Sister is amazing." Maria replied bluntly

"So?" dev asked, drawing his face closer to Mary

"Yes, I want to." Mary smiled in shame

Dev smiles with relief and kisses Maria's hands. "Thank you very much, Maria."

That moment really felt so happy. During the trip out of school, Maria unceasingly spread a smile while holding the hand of Dev who continued to look at her meaningfully.

One week later..

"Mary, there's a fireworks festival tonight. We're going there, right?"

"Yes, I want to.

In the evening, Dev comes to pick Maria up at his house. He invited Mary to the fireworks festival because it was the night of the new year. Dev hugged Maria with a big bike. His appearance is so fashionable with a black leather jacket, making him even more cool and handsome.

"Sorry."

Maria fell silent with a red tinge adorning her cheeks.

"Do you mind if I touch you?"

"No."

Dev smiles. Slowly he brought his face closer, Maria's reflexes closed his eyes. Their lips fused together with the exploding fireworks in the sky. A few seconds later, Dev took off his pagutan.

"Mary, have you ever kissed?"

Maria shook her head.

"So, I was the first one to kiss you?"

Maria nodded with a smile.

"Are you angry?"

"Why am I angry? You have the right to do it."

For a moment, Dev looked at Maria inside, then hugged her tightly.

"Dev, what's wrong with you? It's in a public place, don't hug me like this."

"Don't we just kiss. But you don't forbid. Everyone is focusing on seeing fireworks. Please let me be like this, I want to hold you for a moment."

"Actually why Dev?"

"Mary, I will miss you very much. After graduation, I have to study abroad."

"But didn't we promise to go to the same university."

"This is my father's wish. I can't refuse."

Maria kept her disappointment.

"Mary, will you wait for me until I get back?"

"I don't know."

"Why?"

"Maybe you'll forget me. Especially there you'll meet new people."
