Dev's House

Dev has come home with a sweet martabak for Maria.

"Dev, why are your lips hurt?" ask Mary to worry

"So suddenly a madman attacked me in the street." Dev lied

That night, Dev told Maria everything. Mary finally came back crying.

"So you're just pretending? Why would you do this to me Dev?"

"I'm sorry Maria. I had to do it. You left the house because of me, too."

"No. It's all my fault. I should have been honest with you from the beginning when I was married. That way the problem won't be this complicated."

"Actually I have no problem with your condition Maria. I still want to accept you. But we can't be selfish. Our relationship will hurt everyone." said Dev who made Maria more tearful

"Mary, do you want to go back with your husband?" ask Dev expectantly

Maria was silent for a moment. "Dev, I'm tired. I want to sleep."

"Yes, good night Maria." Dev enveloped Maria before exiting the room

The next Morning

Dev had knocked on Maria's door several times but there was no answer. He finally opened the door but it was empty.

Maria left Dev's house early in the morning, she went home to her parents. And it just so happened that Maria's mother just finished sweeping the yard.

"Mother."

"Marya?"

Mary hugged her mother and sobbed. "Mother, I'm sorry."

"Yes-yes, let's go inside."

A dozen minutes away, Jo's car came to Maria's house. Jo is relieved to find his wife who turns out to be at his in-laws' house. She rushed to find Maria after Dev called her.

"Son Jo, please sit down."

"Mother, please allow me to take Mary home with me." Jo asked gently

"Marya?" ask the mother

"But mother.." in Mary's heart she felt fear, she knew for sure her husband was furious with her at this moment.

"Mary, your status is still valid as a wife. So you have to obey what your husband says."

Maria was silent.

"Then I bring Mary home mother."

Jo tried as much as possible to cover up her anger in front of her mother-in-law. He kept smiling and being gentle with Maria.

"How could you have any intention of doing that Maria. Because of your hatred for me, to the extent that our son wants you to vanish."

Maria was speechless to see Jo's cold and angry aura towards her.

"If you hate me, hate me. Don't involve our child!"

"I'm sorry." Maria replied slightly sobbing

Jo ruffled her hair in frustration.

"Mary, you don't think I brought you back because to defend our household. I'll be in charge until our son is born, after which we part."

After saying that, Jo passed away leaving Maria. There was no more warmth in her eyes. He returned like a stranger and was indifferent to Mary.
