The Hundred Thousand Woman

The Hundred Thousand Woman
Part 49's

Unlike usual where Maureen entered Wilson's office by knocking on the door at the beginning, the woman went in without doing so. All because Jack said Wilson was attending a special meeting with the commissioners.

Actually, dropping off lunch for Wilson was his routine every weekday. Although the food he brought was not his cooking but the cuisine of the waiter, Maureen still insisted on delivering a box of food supplies to Wilson's office. The supply box he put on a neat Wilson workbench― Wilson did not like messy things, then he immediately sat in a swivel chair that was available in front of the work desk.

Jack said the meeting would end in fifteen minutes, so Maureen got excited and waited patiently for Wilson. And just as he had just stuck his butt in the chair, Wilson's phone shook and let out a voice.

Ah, please note, if you're in a meeting, Wilson never brought a cell phone. he will definitely leave it in the room or leave it to Jack and Leo. The man will feel disturbed if suddenly there is another voice other than employees or business associates who are presenting in front there, his mood would be chaotic and result in him leaving the meeting room before thirty minutes.

Her eyes narrowed, seeing her mother's name plastered on the screen of her husband's cell phone. Her heart's churning, why'd you call Wilson? Granted, parents calling a child is a natural thing, but if calling at work is not yet in lunch time there must be something important to talk about.

Initially, Maureen simply let in, making the incoming call into an unanswered calling. However, he ends up curious as well, making him immediately pick up Wilson's phone and receive his call. Intentions want to say that Wilson is in a meeting and will be back in fifteen minutes, but that is only limited to the intention because the words of Mrs Hovers who successfully silenced Maureen's mouth.

'Lex, congratulations! You're gonna be a Daddy! Veila Amor, she's pregnant!'

The words of the late in-laws were very happy to make Maureen's heart feel a little sick.

Hearing the news that Veila was pregnant made Maureen again feel bad. Just imagine, he could not produce a child from his own womb. In this context, he does not involve Wilson or Leo, he only involves himself. She is upset and angry that she cannot be a perfect woman.

Suddenly the shadow of Wilson who told me about his dream to fill the void with children was terbesit make the buried fear again sticking out.

'Alexander, are you unhappy?'

Not saying a word, Maureen immediately ended the call, shutting it off unilaterally and making Lady Hovers across the street wonder.

The lover—Leo— has even urged him many times, telling him to leave Wilson so that the perceived disappointment is not great. However, Maureen could not, she could not go and lost the affection of her husband. Just tell me he can't live without Wilson—'s sweet treatment some kind of candy. Although she cannot love her husband, but can not love be covered with an outpouring of affection as an important and valuable person?

Maureen sighed softly, took back Wilson's phone and erased the call history from Mrs Hovers. He had to do this because he did not want Wilson to see it, call his mother back, then leave him and not eat the provisions he brought.

"I'm sorry" he muttered softly and immediately put the phone back on the table to its original position.

Shortly after, the door opened, showing Wilson with Jack.

Seeing Maureen in his room made Wilson's mood slowly unravel. The man smiled sweetly, told Jack to leave immediately and then walked over towards Maureen. He kissed the top of his head and asked, "Have you waited a long time?"

The successful question made Maureen shake her head and reply, "No. Just fifteen minutes and it doesn't matter to me."

Wilson smiled again and then immediately sat down in his seat of greatness. His eyes were round as he looked at the lunchbox that Maureen had opened just now, feeling hungry for a moment as he looked at the neat arrangement of lunch before him.

Without waiting for long, Wilson immediately grabbed the spoon that had been provided and began to put the food into his mouth.

"Auntie cooked it?" asked Wilson, feeling that now his fatigue level is gone because of the good food that is being chewed.

Suddenly, Maureen shook her head. Indeed, it was usually the waiter who served in the kitchen who cooked it, Maureen just delivered it. But this time, there was no intervention of the waiter in preparing the entire contents inside the lunch box. "Not an aunt, but Veila."

And at that moment, Wilson choked and stopped chewing the food in his mouth. Veila Amor, she's good at cooking, making Wilson really want to eat her cooking every day and lay off the waiters. All that, his love of Veila cuisine, started from a plate of fried rice.
