Eps.14: Bright Point

Daniah just got home after a long day of sightseeing with Rachel. She must admit that traveling with Rachel was a lot of fun. Moreover, his best friend knows how to make the atmosphere exciting.

Alderick was sitting on the couch reading a book when Daniah was just stepping on their apartment. I don't know what book the man read but on the cover it looks like a literary book.

Daniah also took a position to sit in front of Alderick precisely on the sofa opposite the table. He looked at Alderick as he waited for the man to respond.

As if not aware of something Alderick did not in the slightest move from his book. In fact, almost a minute spent by Daniah just to stare at the man without response. Danie is getting impatient. He also teased the man by calling his name.

"Aldrick!" Call Daniah.

The man looked at Daniah who was behind the book. "Yes?" Tanya Al responded.

Alderick closed his book and put the 3-centimeter-thick book on the table.

"Engga. We're not gonna fight. You just say whatever you want to tell me." Daniah demands an explanation.

"I've told you, we rarely have time and rarely communicate." Alderick is still staring at the book.

Daniah slightly scowled. He felt a little remorse for not being aware of Alderick's wishes. Turns out he just needs time.

Alderick just listened without flinching. He did not focus on the book he was reading. He was just trying to shift the situation so as not to argue with Daniah.

"Actually I've always wanted to call, Al. But I'm afraid you're uncomfortable. Sometimes when I miss Al, I just look at pictures of Al talking to myself like crazy." Daniah remembers his habits.

Hearing that made Al a little upset. He also closed his book.

And if I take a look at you and you answer my message forcefully, it proves that Al ain't in love with me." Daniah paused for a moment, while Alderick only listened to the girl's explanation.

Alderick was a little touched when he heard Daniah's explanation. It turns out that Daniah is not what he thinks. The girl was suffering by her own treatment.

They were silent for a few minutes as equally drowned with their respective thoughts. Until the next minute Daniah reopened the chat between them.

"Al why did you break up with Alana?"

At once Alderick was very lazy to hear that very sensitive talk.

"Hm.. Why talk about Alana again?" Alderick said lazily.

"Just curious. She's the woman Al loves the most." Daniah.

"Yes." Yeah." Alderick said coldly. However, Daniah's face showed that she was eager for answers. "You know I'm very sensitive to the woman I once loved?"

Silence came back to them and in the end Daniah decided to switch to the bathroom because he was already feeling very hot. Alderick moved to the balcony to smoke a few cigarettes. His mind was colliding and he wanted to raise his head.

Actually Alderick did not think that Daniah love that much to him. Sometimes she pretends to love him and sometimes she seems to love Alderick. His attitude is the main reason Alderick does not love Daniah. Moreover, Daniah is very easy to get the attention of men. And that makes Alderick even more frightened if one day Daniah leaves him.

He was blowing smoke into the air. Seeing the smoke swirling for a few moments and lost to the wind. He stared at the bright moon in the sky. Although around him many stars accompany but in Alderick's mind the moon was lonely. If only he could go there he wanted to sit and tell stories while drinking coffee in the soundproof place.

There was the sound of Daniah's scream running towards the balcony. Alderick immediately turned around and found the figure of a girl wearing a nightgown with wet hair.

"Why you?" Tanya Al was worried.

"What flavor?"

"The feeling of wanting to be loved by you but only limited to me," said Daniah with a smile on her lips.

Alderick smiled at the girl's childish behavior. He also pinched Daniah's cheek.

"You're not shy, honey." Alderick.

"But Daniah just halu, tuh. Never thought anything other than hallucinations." Said Daniah with a naive. "Oh yeah, my friend wants to talk to you."

"About what?" Ask Al curiously.

"Ga knows. Let's call then." Daniah also reached into his sleeping bag. That's where he put his phone.

After several times trying to contact Rachel, her best friend still can not be contacted. Ten minutes of waiting left Alderick impatient.

"I don't have a lot of time, Daniel. If you want to say something, just say it directly." Alderick is almost bored.

"I'll tell Rachel." Daniah also gave up.

"Then you go to sleep there, I'll go to sleep too." Alderick Pinta.

"But I'm not sleepy, Al."

"I want to sleep first."

"Okey."

Al walked into the room leaving Daniah. But he remembered something. He called Daniah and took Daniah to the sofa where he had read a book.

"I have a poem. But not too good." Alderick also gave a piece of paper to Daniah which was immediately received by the girl.

Daniah also read the paper that Alderick had given him. Fill the paper as follows:

Daniah was amazed by Alderick's writing but did not understand the meaning of the words. He decided to ask his creator.

"Don't she know what that means?"

"It's about dreams at night." Answer Alderick.

"But.." Daniah thought about the meaning of the poem. But he still doesn't understand. "Argh.. Yes, Daniah's brain is too short to think about something complicated" said Daniah.

Alderick cupped the two cheeks of the girl. And directly they both looked at.

"Sometimes I will change when it's time" Alderick said with a smile and then kissed Daniah on the forehead.

The girl froze. A strange current had just flowed within his body within a period of seconds. His heart warmed for a moment. He looked at Alderick who had walked into the room. He also held his forehead which had just been in Alderick's kiss.

Then he shouted, "Actually I'm not patient, but I don't want to make it too!" No more response from Alderick. He probably slept.

Half an hour passed after Alderick left her on the couch. Daniah just stared at the poetry paper that Alderick gave. He still thought about the meaning of the words in the poem but still did not find a single meaning.

Because he felt tired of thinking and his eyes also did not want to sleep he peeked into the room to see the situation Alderick. The man seemed to be sleeping well. Daniah approached the man and sat down next to Alderick, who was sleeping peacefully.

"Excuse me.. Here Daniah whose eyes can't sleep. Daniah wants a story to be okay.." Daniah also set his sitting position to be more comfortable.

"So, I want to win the heart of the guy I love. He's good, only sometimes he likes to be angry I keep cold to me too. So I'm gonna have another way to let her not be so funny with me. I was confused as to what to do. Because every time I face him, my brain is always dead-end. Rich everything I want to express is stuck in the chest to make it tight. Alderick just kept quiet and didn't move. But actually he still woke up and listened to Daniah tell a story without the girl's knowledge. He did not want to interfere with his girl's intention to tell a story freely.

"Maybe he's already in dreamland. And just now he showed me a poem about dreams even though I didn't understand it at all. What's clear is that it's about dreams and hopefully Al has a good dream."

He immediately lay down and fell asleep in a matter of minutes.
