Eps.19: Which Never Understood

Daniah is still curious about the figure of the Queen who has never escaped from Alderick's speech lately. Either just a joke or indeed there is something that you want to make sure Daniah. If asked Alderick directly the man will not give a serious answer. There are only vague remarks that make Daniah jealous.

Today Alderick accompanies Daniah for monthly shopping. It has been almost an hour they go around the super market to find their needs. While touring around Daniah and Alderick chatting about ordinary things. From the expression of the man it can be concluded that he was very excited today.

Alderick encourages shopping trolls and Daniah who put things in them. They are like a husband and wife who are meeting household needs. Although not yet officially Daniah must learn he thought.

After finishing shopping, Alderick invited Daniah to lunch. One of the cafes near the super market is their goal. When they got there, they took a table.

I ordered food for both of them. After taking down the order, the waiter who had just approached them immediately went towards the bar table.

Suddenly the Daniah phone notification reads. The girl saw the message on her phone screen. Of course it was from office friends who started to make the event gather again. Daniah immediately saved his phone.

"From who?" Ask Alderick who had noticed Daniah earlier.

Daniah smiled and replied, "From a friend's office hehe.."

Alderick seemed to be in disbelief. The girl looked disingenuous in Alderick's eyes. He also became curious who was behind the Daniah weekend event.

"Just see?" Alderick.

"Doang invitations. No need to reply." Daniah.

"You have an invitation? Yes, I've just won the Queen" Alderick said with a faint smile on his lips.

Daniah is a little upset because Alderick still mentions the name of the Queen which is still so mysterious to Daniah. Whoever this Queen is Daniah hopes is not the third person in her relationship like Alana. Why are there so many women around Alderick. It made Daniah angry and jealous.

"That's.. The Queen wants to continue. Whose queen is it?" Tanya Daniah.

Alderick ate the food the waiter had just delivered. He drank his drink several times straws and then returned to focus on Daniah.

"The queen is a darling."

Alderick continued his eating.

Daniah was still staring at Alderick who looked innocent after saying a sentence that managed to make Daniah burn jealous. It felt like he hit Alderick's innocent-looking face.

Daniah began to speculate strangely about the Queen. It could be that the Queen is a beautiful girl who recently met Alderick and managed to make her man fall in love. But how could Alderick fall in love so easily? Does he have so many flaws that he cannot satisfy Alderick.

"Honestly, the Queen is your mistress, right?" Daniah asked with a sharp look towards Alderick.

The man still looked relaxed. Then she replied, "If she's my affair why should I tell you about her."

That answer makes sense, according to Danieh. If it's an affair Alderick should be afraid to tell it. But the man looked calm when discussing about the Queen.

Alderick placed his spoon on the plate and looked at Daniah with a serious look. Then he said, "If you are cheating, don't accuse others of covering up for mistakes."

Daniah was a little surprised listeners said Alderick. From where the prejudice he got so that the idea that sounds funny can be thrown out of his mouth.

"You don't be weird, deh. You're obviously the first." Daniah started eating her lunch.

After Daniah's last sentence there was no more talk between the two of them. When they left the cafe, they were quiet with each other. In the car, Daniah was silent. He didn't care where Alderick would take him because as he saw the road they were on wasn't the way home.

A park on the shores of the Lake is Alderick's stop. He parked his car on the edge of the lake that looks calm and beautiful. On the side of the lake there are small hills lined up under the sky that looks blue. It made Daniah amazed.

Daniah got out of the car without waiting for Alderick. He immediately ran to the edge of the lake to see the scenery that made his soul calm. The greenish water of the lake due to moss flooded in front of him without ripples. There are also small fish that appear on the edge of the lake adding to the puddle of the atmosphere of the place.

Alderick approached Daniah who was standing by the water. He smiled at how impressed the girl was at this place. Then he stood beside Daniah.

"I'm sure you'll love this place" Alderick said.

"Like it, Al." Daniah said with a smile.

The resentment that had been stirring in Daniah's heart had now disappeared completely. All he had in mind was that beautiful place and Alderick was beside him.

"The yellow light is on

No one knows if it shines

Gushing from end smpai

Sabang smpai merauke

Beautiful light

More beautiful than anything.

He thinks.

No one thought

If you are more beautiful.

Shines the most among all."

Alderick uttered his poem while looking towards the rippleless lake. Daniah who had just listened to him was also swept away by the beautiful sentence said by the man. Somehow the atmosphere changed so quickly that it could change the feeling that was inside his chest.

"Lately I've liked Wilona more than anyone else" Alderick said.

Daniah who heard that turned to Alderick with a confused look.

"Willon? Who else is that?" Ask Daniah wonder.

Alderick chuckled, "That's your name, honey. Your name is Daniah Ilona Meysie, right?" Daniah nodded too. "So said Ilona I added the letter 'W'." Added.

"But why?"

"Let's be good."

Daniah smiled at Alderick.

"Daniah, tell me when was the last time you cried?" Alderick asked suddenly after a few seconds of silence.

Daniah immediately recalled when she last cried, "Maybe about a month ago."

"Who has made you sad let me beat you up." Alderick said with confidence.

Daniah laughed, "Just teach yourself."

"You mean I made you cry?" Alderick did not expect.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Ga may."

"But the truth is that."

Alderick was silent for a moment. "Next time don't cry anymore!" He said while rubbing his hair.

Daniah. He felt very happy for Alderick's attitude that was so considerate. He also hopes Alderick feels more about the deepest feelings of Daniah.

"Want to know when I last cried?" Daniah.

"When?"

"When you tell me about your breakup with Alana. My heart is broken." Daniah paused for a moment, "I should be happy but I'm sad" he continued.

Alderick looked at Daniah with concern. "Definitely Al's favorite has a reason, right?"

"Yes, I'm jealous you're that dear to her. You can pay attention to him even though he seems indifferent to you," explained Daniah with an annoyed face.

Alderick chuckles at Daniah's funny face when he's upset. He also cupped the girl's cheek.

"So unfortunately Al is jealous, hm?" Alderick looked into Daniah's eyes. "Darguably, it's all just the past and I feel so guilty for treating you unfairly. But now I've changed, haven't I?" Alderick smiled softly. "Now I know what is sincere and what is not."

Instantly the mood changed. The peace that was felt by Daniah changed with the ripples of romance that accompanied the peace. Daniah's chest that almost exploded could not stem his happiness anymore. The warmth that Alderick gave that afternoon also became an afternoon wind accompaniment that can overcome all the longing.

My Alderick has returned..
