Eps.5: He's Mine

A black car was driving through the city. The driver of the car was none other than Alderick. She just left her family home a few hours ago. He was driving very leisurely while thinking a lot of things in his head. There were all sorts of flavors raging in his heart. Guilt is the biggest thing right now. He took a deep breath and increased the speed of the car.

Alderick immediately entered his apartment after he parked his car in the parking lot. A gloomy atmosphere immediately approached him as he stomped his feet in the room. He walked towards the kitchen and looked at the plates and glasses he had placed on that day. The little memo he left behind is still there.

Alderick took the green paper and looked at it carefully. 'It's been 2 weeks.' he thought. A few seconds later, he put the paper back on the table.

Alderick turned to his room. The room was pretty neat, only the sheets were a little crumpled. He sat down on the side of the bed and turned to the spot where he had last seen his girlfriend.

He already knew that Daniah had left a few days ago. One of the housekeepers told her that the girl had left in a bad condition. However, he could do nothing. There must be one that is sacrificed.

Alderick was about to call Daniah, but suddenly someone rang the bell of his apartment. He went to the door to find out who was behind the door.

The door was opened by Alderick. A white man with slightly narrowed eyes was standing in front of him. He also wondered who this man was.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt your time Alderick. Meet my friend Alfy Daniah. I just want to talk a little bit about it." Alfy said kindly.

Alderick was silent for a few seconds. He had no idea that Daniah had any close male friends other than the band members they used to be.

"Okay, let's go in first." Alderick is relaxed.

They also approached the sofa in the room and then fell silent for a while after sitting down.

Alfy was very confused as to where he should start. He was anxious to be angry at Alderick at this moment especially when he saw Alderick's expression of not feeling the slightest guilt.

"So what's up?" Alderick opened the conversation.

"A few days ago Daniah came to my workplace in very bad condition. He told me about your relationship. So here I just want to warn you to stay away from Daniah!" Alfy had a stern expression.

Alderick just grinned annoyed at Alfy's words just now. He took a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and burned the nicotine patch.

"On what basis do you ask me to stay away from Daniah. Do you have a relationship with him?" Alderick then exhaled his cigarette smoke into the air.

"Ck, people are not responsible like you are not suitable for Daniah" said Alfy with his grin.

"Once again I ask, you prepared Daniah and what right do you have to arrange our relationship?" Alderick stared flatly at Alfy.

"Gue Danih's future husband and he's mine!" Firm Alfy.

Alderick's a little choked up. Those words were very unacceptable to him. Jealousy and resentment simultaneously controlled him.

"No one can determine whose Daniah belongs to. He will make his own choice. So from now on you don't have to interfere in our relationship!"

"Look at it later!"

Alfy immediately stood up and left Alderick's apartment.

After Alfy's departure, Alderick was pensive on the sofa he had been sitting on. Feelings of doubt towards Daniah re-entered her heart. This is the umpteenth time his trust was shaken by the girl he loved. Anger is not left behind to master his heart.

Suddenly his phone rang and it happened to be from the girl he had in mind. Annoyed, he picked up the phone from Daniah.

"Hello! This is really you, isn't it, Al? Where the hell have you been? I'm so worried about Al." Daniah said across there.

Alderick did not comment on the question from Daniah at all, but he immediately asked about Alfy.

"Who is Alfy?" Alderick asked in a tone that sounded like he was very angry.

"lik! He said that you were his, was that just a friend?"

"I'm serious, Al. We were just childhood friends and didn't have the relationship you thought." I sounded panicked across there.

"I can't believe it! I think we just cancel our wedding."

"I beg Al believe me.. I've always loved you. That's proven because all this time I've been waiting for you. I don't want to part with you anymore, Al. Hicks.."

Daniah sounded crying. It made Alderick realize that the woman really loved him.

"Remove your tears, baby. I'm sorry for always making you sad. I promise I won't leave you again." Alderick said soften.

"I'll pick you up. Send me your current location immediately."

The girl wiped her tears with the back of her hand and smiled towards the tombstone bearing Regan Algantara's name.

"I'm sorry bang, Ona crying in front of brother. Ona ga means to make Abang sad but this is a release." He squatted stroking the tombstone.

Daniah sat next to his brother's grave, hugging his leg.

"I'm sorry bang, Ona kemenaren rarely ngunjungin brother. Ona was just busy thinking about Ona's own affairs without remembering there were good people that Ona had forgotten."

"Don't curse Ona be a bad man huh, bang."

Daniah smiled wryly. You can see that he misses his beloved brother very much. However, it had been five years since his brother's departure. Although heavy heart he had to let go of his brother's departure.

"Bang, Ona's lonely.."

Tears fell from Daniah's eye. He cried bitterly imagining the day he had spent these few years. He felt the sky was not on his side. So that trial after trial befalls him.

If in the flashback to the suffering of Daniah began from his brother who died. The deep sadness he felt for a while until Alderick was present in his life. It did not last long he was abandoned by Alderick for reasons he did not know. Time goes by until he finishes college. Suddenly his parents had a conflict and decided to separate. Daniah was hit a third time and tried to run away from her parents on the grounds of wanting to live independently. His parents allowed him to because they realized Daniah was an adult and the three of them could not unite anymore. At that time only Razka always entertained and accompanied him. However, one fact he knew that Razka was not actually a good man. He always played with women and that's not what Daniah likes. And in the end he left the city in search of peace.

A man stood straight behind Daniah. He looked around and found the man he missed too. Daniah smiled and got up from her seat.

"Sorry to have told you to come here. I miss him." Daniah.

"It's okay. I haven't been to Regan in a long time either." Reply Al.

Alderick stepped forward and crouched down next to Regan's grave. Then he prayed in his heart a few minutes ago and rubbed the headstone.

"Don't you remember my words back then? I'll keep it."

Daniah who heard the expression immediately frowned. 'What does that mean?'

After finishing Alderick stood up and embraced Daniah's shoulder.

"Darling, let's go home."
