9: Alderick, Damn You!

Daniah was sipping the warm drink he had just made. Staring out at the window he stared at the view of the city soaked in rain that night. For a moment he thought about the figure of his lover who had gone and did not know whether he would come back or not.

What the hell is it?

Bad thoughts immediately appeared in Daniah's mind. He tried to pull it off but he could not. His overthinking became even more so as Alderick's words swirled in his head.

So hurt.

That was how his heart felt at this moment. The tears that he had soaked earlier had now escaped wetting his cheeks. He sobbed while holding his chest that felt tight. He wanted to give up on his love. I could not stand it anymore and wanted to escape. That's what he wants right now.

At the sight of Regan's shadow figure who was looking at him with concern. Even though he realized it was just a hallucination, he did not feel afraid. He just wanted to hug and complain to the figure of his brother.

A gentle kiss made Alderick return to the real world. After the beautiful dream he had just experienced made him not want to return. His head felt heavy and his eyes were hard to open. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a beautiful girl smiling at him.

Alderick held his head which still felt a little dizzy. He got up from his bed and took a sitting position. The girl beside him also got up. Then the girl immediately took the white water that was on the nightstand.

"Drink, are you still dizzy?" The girl looked worried.

Alderick gulped the water down the toilet. Then he gave the empty glass again to Maretta. He looked around and only realized that he was not in his apartment room, but in Maretta's room.

Alderick turned his head towards Maretta who looked worried. Then he rubbed the girl's sweet face.

"Al what happened? Why are you in such a place?" Ask Maretta.

Alderick pulled the girl into his arms.

"I'm sorry Milea, I'm just dizzy with work." Alderick answered while gently rubbing Maretta's hair.

"really? If Dilan has a problem just tell me. Your Milea will be ready to help." Said the girl cheerfully.

"Thank you, baby." Alderick kissed the girl's head.

Maretta has always been the most comfortable place to go home that Alderick has. From the past until now, Maretta has always been there for Alderick. Compared to Daniah, a positive aura always belongs to Alderick when with Maretta it happens because Maretta can be trusted.

Maretta is the girl Alderick found while doing a college internship. They used to be just close friends who ended up feeling like brothers. But because often with Maretta began to like the figure of Alderick who is loving and because of an incident they finally decided to get married one month ago.

"Darling, want to eat something?" Tanya Maretta who looks very cute.

Alderick's expression changed. The fear within him again grabbed his mind. He was afraid that one day this family would know about him with Daniah. And what he feared the most was that these people would do evil to Daniah.

"Mama! Don't talk rich. Make a bad mood Retta aja, deh." Maretta said annoyed.

"Yes.. Sorry dear. My mom was just kidding. Come eat the food later it's cold."

They also began to eat the breakfast that had been provided. A warm conversation was heard between their meals. And this is where one of the spots where Alderick likes a spot on the Maretta side. For a moment he remembered his family that had died.

After finishing breakfast, they began to do their own activities. Alderick and Maretta went to the hospital for routine health checks in Maretta every month.

Yes, Maretta has a disease that is type 1 diabetes mellitus. Therefore he often hurts if he has a lot of thoughts and this is one of the reasons why he always needs Alderick.

Mararta suddenly clasped Alderick's hand. It made Al realize that Maretta was fretting. He also returned Maretta's grip while rubbing the girl's hand with his index finger.

Maretha was silent. He was eager to hear the good news from the doctor this time. Because he hopes he can heal so he can keep Alderick after this. If her condition is not normal, her parents will not allow her to come with her husband out of town.

The doctor came with Maretta's health test results. He also sat at his desk where in front of him from now on there were two people waiting for him.

"It looks like Maretta's condition has improved." The doctor said while looking at the paper test results.

Marta smiled hearing this. "So I can do something, Doc?"

"Can. But it must be maintained blood sugar levels and also always someone watching. Don't forget to always check your blood sugar." Obviously Doctor.

"Good, Doc. I'll remember all the Doctor's messages." Alderick.

"Oh yeah, another one shouldn't be much of a thought huh, Retta."

"Good, Doc. I'll remember everything." Retta said very happily.

"Then we say goodbye, Doc. Thank you very much." Alderick said goodbye. After that, they left the doctor's office.
