Episode 11's. Gu Residence

Ye Wu Shuang was brought into the luxurious horse carriage of the middle-aged woman who from the beginning put compassion and curiosity towards him. Yin Qiu was allowed to ride, but he sat in front with the servants.

Inside the horse carriage, the middle-aged woman introduced herself to Ye Wu Shuang.

"Young girl, don't be afraid! From now on, I'll protect you. My name is Gu Ruo Hui, the head of the Gu family."

"Miss Gu, thank you for helping Wu Shuang." Said the girl in a weak tone.

"No need to thank me. I'm so glad I could help you. Go to sleep, I'll take you to Gu's residence."

Ye Wu Shuang closed his eyes, yet he sharpened his hearing.

"First Miss Ye was so pitying, why would they have the heart to treat her like that? Though she was the daughter of Physician Ye." Said a servant named Nuo Li.

Nuo'er shook his head while sighing deeply. "Sometimes, the life of a noble is much worse than the life of a servant like us." He said with a pat on the shoulder of Nuo Li who was sitting next to him.

Nuo Li nodded in agreement to the words of his comrade. He glanced for a moment into the horse carriage then looked at the face of Yin Qiu who was in front of him.

"Young lady, can we find out what your name is?"

"My name is Yin Qiu, I am the loyal servant of Miss Ye Wu Shuang."

"Yin Qiu, your name is unique. Must have a deep meaning." Nuo Li said with a friendly smile.

Yin Qiu nodded slowly. "Miss who gave this name to me. It's a pity Miss, I don't know how much suffering she's been through at Ye's residence. Hicks..."

Yin Qiu's play began, telling how Ye's family treated Ye Wu Shuang unfairly and always tortured him. Ye Wu Shuang almost laughed hearing all the conversations of the three people outside the horse carriage, painstakingly holding his laughter so as not to be suspicious by Madam Gu.

Upon arrival at the Gu residence, Yin Qiu and the two maids helped Ye Wu Shuang to get off the horse carriage.

Ye Wu Shuang was brought into a room with a spacious and comfortable room. Nuo Li opened the pink curtain to Yin Qiu, they laid Ye Wu Shuang's body on the large bed that was in the middle of the room.

"Nuo Nuo, quickly get the Physician here!" Mrs Gu's orders to her servant who was standing at the door.

"Okay, Madam!" Nuo Nuo replied immediately running to where Physician Shi was.

Physician Shi, his full name is Han Bao Shi. He was the successor of the Han family who worked for the Gu family for generations. It had been hundreds of years that the Han family had devoted themselves to the Gu family for having loyal promises from the days of their ancestors.

After waiting for a while, Physician Shi ran hurriedly into the room occupied by Ye Wu Shuang.

"Mrs Gu, do you feel unwell?" The young physician asked with an anxious face.

Madam Gu shook her head, she glanced at Ye Wu Shuang as she said to Physician Shi.

The young man turned his gaze towards Ye Wu Shuang, he walked over and grabbed his left arm. Just as he checked Ye Wu Shuang's pulse, the man's forehead shriveled with an unpleasant-looking facial expression.

"What's the Physician Shi? Is this Miss's situation really bad?" Ask Madam Gu curiously.

Physician Shi was stunned for a moment, yet he immediately answered a question from Madam Gu.

"This lady has lost a lot of blood, her body is very weak and not powered. It seemed like he rarely ate well, coupled with heavy work, already severely damaged his health." It was clearly Physician Shi who still looked puzzled.

"Is there anything else you want to say?" Madam Gu asked as soon as she realized the puzzled look of Physician Shi.

"To be honest, this lady's condition is very bad! Being able to live until now was a blessing from the sky." Physician Shi said after putting Ye Wu Shuang's hand on the edge of the bed.

"She's just a poor girl with bad luck. Please take care of her with the best medicine, I want this Miss to get well soon." Pinta Mistress Gu while looking at Ye Wu Shuang with sympathy.

Madam Gu walked out of the room. Physician Shi paid his respects by lowering his head, followed by the servants who were inside the room.

After Madam Gu's departure, Physician Shi asked all the servants to leave the room. He reasoned to want to treat Ye Wu Shuang's injuries without any interference from anyone.

All the maids complied, they came out and waited outside the door of the room, including Yin Qiu.

Physician Shi said in a whispering voice, "Open your eyes, I know you're just pretending to sleep!"

Ye Wu Shuang opened his eyes, he stared intently at the man in front of him with a sinister smile that felt threatening.

"Calm down, I won't say anything to Mrs Gu. I just wanted to ask you a few things in order to take good care of Miss's injuries." The physician spoke without a single feeling of fear.

"What do you want to ask?"

"Is Miss's head hurting or dizzy?"

"No!"

"Does Miss have any injuries on any part of the body that need special treatment?"

"No!"

"All right, I'm glad you're okay. Please answer the last question honestly." The doctor said with a serious face.

"Did Miss just come back to life after experiencing a momentary death?"
