Episode 22's. The Wan Guo

Physician Shi was slightly surprised to see the frantic reaction of Ye Wu Shuang. He looked at the dried fruit in his hand then answered the question of the young girl.

"This fruit I picked up from a tree that grew in the garden of my family's residence. Miss Ye need not worry, this fruit is safe to eat." It was clearly Physician Shi who had thought that Ye Wu Shuang suspected the fruit in his hands was poisonous.

"This fruit often appeared in my dreams when I was a child. I always wondered why I could dream of something I had never eaten before. It turned out that this world appeared in my dreams before I was reborn. Or..."

Ye Wu Shuang picked up one small round-shaped fruit with a bright red color from the pack in Physician Shi's hand.

"That dream is part of my past?"

Ye Wu Shuang stuffed the fruit into the mouth.

"This feeling is familiar to my tongue. How strange... This is the first time I've tried this fruit. But I'm sure, I recognize this taste."

"What is the name of this fruit?" Ye Wu Shuang asked Physician Shi who was confused by his attitude.

"Wan Guo." Answer Physician Shi.

"This fruit has a unique and sad story. Does Miss Ye want to hear her story?" Ask Physician Shi.

Ye Wu Shuang nodded as he took all the fruits that were in the hands of Physician Shi.

Physician Shi walked to the chair that was in the middle of the room. He sat down and poured a glass of warm tea and then sipped it.

"This story has been around for hundreds of years. According to my ancestors, once in our garden there were no Wan Guo trees. One night, the sky suddenly rumbled, lightning was gruesomely striking the sky and some even grabbed underground and destroyed many houses and trees.

Back then, many human lives were lost because a demon suddenly appeared and killed all the living things he encountered."

"Graffin?" Cut Ye Wu Shuang curious.

Physician Shi nodded, "A dragon descended with lightning striking down. The dragon was considered a demon because he started killing once he saw the humans around him.

"Then... What happened to the dragon?"

"The dragon returned the sky after killing tens of thousands of humans."

"What does that have to do with the Wan Guo fruit tree?"

"Before the dragon returned to the sky, he gouged out his eyes. His eyeball fell right in the garden of the house and disappeared after a while of touching the ground. The next day, a tree suddenly grew tall and dawned in the garden. There were no trees planted in the garden."

"So you mean, this is the fruit of the dragon's eye?"

Physician Shi nodded back.

"Is not the red color of this fruit similar to blood?" The young physician asked confirming his story.

"Your woes disgust me!" Ye Wu Shuang complained with both furrowed brows.

Physician Shi got up from his seat, he gave a greeting then walked out of Ye Wu Shuang's room.

While the young girl was still thinking about the story she had just heard but suddenly her feelings became bad for no reason.

"After arriving at this place, I became strange and often agitated for no reason. Did this bad feeling come from the original owner of this body?" Ye Wu Shuang.

He looked back at the rest of the fruit that was on the table.

"Should I just throw it away?" Ye Wu Shuang muttered but suddenly a white fox jumped in from the window and startled himself who was still focused on staring at the guo wan fruit.

"Miss, may the fruit be given to me?" Asked Yin Qiu who had just turned into a human.

"Take it if you want. I don't intend to eat it anymore." Ye Wu Shuang replied as he turned to look at Yin Qiu.

Yin Qiu cheered in excitement, he grabbed the remaining fruits on the table then stuffed them all into the mouth.

Pai Hu emerged from the empty air, he struck Yin Qiu's back until the fox spewed back the fruit he had just swallowed.

"What are you doing? Rotten streaks!" Yin Qiu's mouth was upset that Pai Hu made her miss out on the sweet food she had just enjoyed.

"Are you looking to die or are you tired of living?" Pai Hu asked while shaking his head.

"You're swearing at me?" Ketus Yin Qiu was getting annoyed.

"Stop it, you two are so noisy!" Ye Wu Shuang's mouth sounded to mediate between the two.

Pai Hu nailed Yin Qiu's head firmly, making the fox return to its original form.

"Ciii Ciii Ciiiii!"

Yin Qiu in the form of a fox returned to a long nag with his distinctive voice that only a fellow fox could understand.

"Pai Hu, what are you doing?" Ye Wu Shuang asked with a probing look.

"I'm sorry, Miss Phoenix. I can't stand the stupidity of this fox!" Pai Hu said then held back the short arm of the fox who had just tried to claw his face.

"What do you mean?" Ye Wu Shuang asked again with a curious face.

"That fruit will make this ugly fox explode as all its strength will increase drastically with just one fruit. And he swallowed 6 pieces at once, isn't that the same as looking to die?" Clearly Pai Hu painstakingly endured all the attacks from Yin Qiu.

After hearing the explanation from Pai Hu, Yin Qiu stopped his attack. He returned to his human form then asked Pai Hu with a panicked face.

"Am I going to explode?"
