Chapter 27 Falling from a height

One of Zelene's servants eavesdropped on the conversation in Sean's study, and reported what he had heard to Zelene.

"My innocent father, look how I'm going to screw up all your plans" Zelene said, playing with her pretty fingernails.

"Nessa, go to Luca's room and do what you used to do" Zelene told her servant.

Nesaa rushes straight to Luca's room, while Zelene prepares her best acting to deceive Luca.

Before long there were footsteps approaching Zelene's room, Zelene smiled happily and sat on the floor with her face down.

"Sister." Luca slammed the door of Zelene's room and ran up to her sister, "What happened? Nessa said sister cried since. Tell me what happened!"

"Hiksss a-father ... hiksss." Zelene couldn't speak well because she kept crying.

"I'm guessing it's all dad again. Dad is so outrageous, I don't understand why he keeps hurting you again and again" Luca said.

Meanwhile Luca happens to cross paths with Isabella as she is about to head to her father's study, without further ado Luca directly intercepts Isabella.

"You're a mercenary knight named Allred, right?" asked Luca, and Isabella just nodded.

"Take this!" Luca threw a bag of money at Isabella, "That's your pay. The work here is done so get the hell out of here!"

Instead of taking, Isabella threw the bag on the floor, "Take the money back, think of it as a gift from me."

"You just insulted me? don't you know who I am?" pissed Luca.

"For me it doesn't matter who you are, sir. The important thing is that I only reply to what you did, if you don't like it done to you then don't do it to anyone else" Isabella replied with a sinless look on her face.

"Remember one thing sir, the mercenary knight has no noble etiquette. And I work not for you, you don't have to bother giving me a fee" whispered Isabella as she passed by Luca.

Luca tightly clenched both his hands until his fingernails turned white. He was really angry because this was the first time he was insulted indirectly, especially by a mercenary knight who had no ethics.

Sean is shocked when his study door is slammed by Luca. At first Sean wanted to shout at the person who slammed the door, but after seeing who did it Sean smiled instead.

"What's up, kid? come in and sit down" Sean said in a soft tone of voice.

"No need" Luca refused, "I did not come to sit. I came because I wanted you to expel a mercenary knight named Bara and Allred from our residence."

"They're knights who will escort you, so I can't …."

"Why did you add a mercenary knight when you already got one? don't you believe in brother? uh! it's ridiculous for me. Why do I ask something that has been confirmed the answer," cut Luca.

"Dad doesn't believe in your sister. But this isn't without cause, your brother …."

"Well! dad always says that every time you get a chance, forget it!" Luca cuts Sean's words.

"Dad only needs to know one thing, I won't allow the two mercenaries to approach me" Luca continued.

"If you won't listen to me, then I won't listen to you. This kind of fatherly attitude makes me want to stay away from my father" said Luca. Disappointed, he moved out of Sean's office.

Sean threw his body onto the chair, he sighed while massaging his head which felt a little dizzy. Luca is too stubborn and selfish to not listen to his words.

Meanwhile, Zelene goes to meet the mercenary knights she hired to escort Luca, they sit down together and devise a plan to kill Luca.

"Can we beat them both? Bara was a diamond-level mercenary knight, and Allred was probably not a high-level knight. But he can beat Ziva in one strike, it won't be easy" said the head of the mercenary knight, Oman.

"Don't joke. You have 10 gem-level knights, your strength already exceeds that of diamond-level knights combined, so what should you be afraid of? You don't forget that a lion will die if attacked by a group of deer" said Zelene.

"You really are too. We can definitely beat those two guys, from the amount alone we've won. What are those two ordinary people? after all if we succeed in defeating Bara then our name will be famous, there will be many people who are reluctant and afraid of us later," said Oman evoked confidence from his colleagues. It's hard to believe just because a little sweet talk from Zelene has made them big heads.

"Curtain! you stupid people. Blessed are you now, and I will see to where that happiness will endure" Zelene said. He is very good at deceiving others.

After their conversation was over, Zelene immediately left them and went to her room. Before sleeping Zelene enjoyed the fresh breeze on the balcony of the room while drinking wine, she could not wait for the day of Luca's death to come.

"This is a reply for you, Dad. You separate me from my mother, then I'll separate you from your son. If you had just a little bit of Luca's good nature then none of this would have happened," Zelene's mind played a wine glass in his hand.

Zelene accidentally dropped her wine glass on the floor. When he intended to go inside to ask the waiter to clean the floor. He slipped and fell off the balcony.

Zelene's loud scream was heard clearly by the servants, spontaneously the servants ran to catch him. But it was a pity that they were late, the servants did not manage to reach the hands of Zelene who had fallen from the 4th floor.
