Chapter 2
“It's Sean, I just want to live quietly here, so I beg you to understand,” said Amber weakly.
Sean was silent for a moment, his body wanting to run for Deliah and yell at the woman not to bother him anymore, but this thought remained here with Amber and Earl. “Alright then, I make sure your life is safe from Deliah's interference, I will come to see Earl twice a week,” Sean replied heavily.
Amber nodded and a thin smile began to be seen from those lips, “Thanks Dr.Sean.”
“Hey, no doctor said at our meeting,” protest Sean.
“But more secure and suitable I call you that, you will get a new level in the hospital right?” amber Kekeh. He looked at Sean as he straightened his body. “You want to meet Earl?”
Sean nodded his head quickly. “Of course,” replied Sean. They also walked down the alley, talking about Amber's plan for what it looks like.
As they go, their meetings become limited, Sean only comes to check on Earl and Amber is busy with his new job, at night, Amanda is working and Amber is guarding Earl. Such was the turnaround of life during this year, Amber's salary was always depleted to buy drugs and tools to care for Earl at home, Amber and Amanda's savings were still far from starting Earl's operation.
Earl's age is now entering a year and over six months, the little baby is now adorable and grows cheerfully, just that his body is not as big as a normal little child out there, she said, Earl has not even been out of the house for a year other than checking once a month to Sean's hospital, lucky Earl still wants to crawl and start standing up to reach objects around him.
And now, Amber is in her office, lunch hour has just passed because there are still many tasks that accumulate. Amber wants all her tasks done and when she gets home her mind is focused only on the Earl, not the job anymore. “Mrs. Amber, this is the report I've made, can you check it out and give me a tandatanga?” said a woman younger than Amber, she was so sweet and always smiling cheerfully in this office.
Amber returned the smile and received the map. “Alright Vi, I will deliver it to your room when I'm done checking,” Amber replied kindly.
Amber nodded quickly, she picked up the call from Amanda. “Hallo,” said Amber slowly, she knew if Amanda called her something was not good, and Amber really hoped that this was not Earl's problem.
“Amber, Amber can you go home? Me and Dr. Smith was on his way to the hospital, Earl was suddenly fussy and feverish, Dr. Smith did not say anything and immediately took us to his car,” Amanda said in a panicked and hasty tone.
Amber closed her eyes, and the trials of life seemed unsatisfied to Amber. “I'll catch up with you guys, I'm going to the hospital right now,” Amber replied quickly, she picked up the bag in a hurry, got out of her room and ordered a taxi from her phone, he entered the elevator with a sense of uncertainty, during this year there was nothing to show if the condition of the Earl decreased.
As the elevator doors opened, Amber exited the office, looking for the number of the car she had ordered. A car window opened and stopped in front of him. “You Miss Am,,”
“Yes! Me,” said Amber quickly without waiting for the driver to finish. He went in and sat quietly back there, telling the driver to drive quickly to the hospital.
After the car stopped, Amber quickly ran in, looking for Earl's room. Amber stopped running when she saw Amanda sitting with a restless feeling. “Amanda, how?”
“Amber! Dr. Smith's in check with another doctor, we're told to wait here. Sean is out of town and his phone is off completely.”
“Sean is busy there, and three more days will be home,” replied Amber.
After waiting for about an hour, the door of the room opened, Amber and Amanda quickly stood up.
