Alicia stared blankly at Carl who was still lying unconscious on the bed, Richard rubbed the back of Alicia's hand gently. "Tomorrow Carl will recover" Richard said calmly. Alicia sobbed softly, she shook her head.
Richard hugged Alicia, obviously the words were just a tranquilizer when the doctor had said there was a brain hemorrhage in Carl's head as well as a fracture in Carl's leg which was squeezed between the chair and the steering wheel. 'The bone fracture in the patient is quite serious, less likely to be able to walk normally.' Those words rang in Richard's head, as a father he was quite hit with this incident, it could be said that Carl would be paralyzed when he regained consciousness later.
Richard turned his head towards Ken who was sitting on the sofa while closing his eyes occasionally, he restrained his sleepiness and still wanted to be awake. "Go home Ken, your wife and kids need you more, let Mom and Dad take care of Carl" Richard said.
Ken shook his head slowly, he rearranged his sitting position. "No Dad, it's better Mom and Dad have dinner first, it's already very late and you're last having breakfast last morning, I'm waiting for the latest news about Amber, when Carl wakes up, he's going to ask Amber, for sure" Ken explained.
Richard exhaled slowly, he stood up from his seat and walked towards the sofa, sitting next to Ken while clenching his hands slowly. "You think Amber left on purpose?" Richard asked almost like a whisper.
"I couldn't have expected that Dad, who I saw Amber loved Carl so much, but was a little confused by the CCTV showing Amber coming with him, all I'm afraid is that Amber and Earl were kidnapped because that woman knows who Amber—'s husband is"
"No Ken, which I fear is a vengeance" murmured Richard, Ken who heard that turned his head toward Richard, indeed crossed Ken's mind about it, but he did not dare to say it, apparently Richard also thought the same thing. "According to Dad like this, Carl used to tell me if he was very grateful to get a chance from Amber, Carl once left Amber is that true?"
Ken nodded his head slowly. "Yes, it's true Dad, but I never know how their relationship continues" Ken said.
"So what about Dad? What's Dad's plan, right?" ken whispered softly, not wanting Alicia to hear their conversation.
Richard shook his head. "Just stop the search, stop this revenge, let Amber choose the path of her life, Dad wants to see Carl happy with a woman who sincerely loves him" Richard said, but Ken knows this is a father's wisest choice for his son. Ken nodded his head slowly. "Now that you go home, Valerie still has a lot of rest after giving birth, you have to be by her side at all times" Richard said later, rising from her seat and walking towards Alicia again.

While there, Amber cried in silence, hugging the sleeping Earl. Sean's words still ring in Amber's mind, he can't do anything now. 'If you go back, will the Carl family still accept you? You'll be hated for making Carl crash Amber, just stay here, because it'll be a waste if you go back there.'
Amber's sobs start to sound heartbreaking, she's too cowardly to return to Los Angeles, she can't show herself back to Carl's family who are already so disappointed in her.
Amber releases a hug on Earl's tiny body, descending from the bed and opening the door of the room connected to the balcony. Amber wiped away her tears, the sound of the waves pounding at night once heard in this balcony, creating a supportive atmosphere for Amber to let out her tears.
