Chapter 23 (Surprise To Ken)

After all, Amber and Carl remain in the hospital, not wanting to leave the Earl, who is accompanied by several sisters. "You want to eat? Let's find the nearest restaurant or I'll order it?" bargain Carl.

"Can order? I really didn't want to leave Earl," Amber replied slowly, Carl smiled and nodded his head, pulled out his phone and began ordering heavy meals to fill their stomachs.

"If Earl has recovered I will take you around the world" said Carl, inserting his cell phone, Amber who heard it looked at Carl confusedly, frowning. "You're going to accompany me on the shoot and some of my other work" said Carl.

The confusion was gone, Amber nodded her head with a small smile. "Are you filming in all countries?" ask Amber.

Carl chuckled softly at Amber's remark, "I always get filming locations in different countries, indeed not all countries, but we create history for our journey, he said, make a list of any country that we want to visit," said Carl with enthusiasm. "We're going to have photos together in different countries, it seems fun" Carl said.

Amber smiled stiffly, she swallowed her saliva and tried to nod her head. "Yes, it was a lot of fun" replied Amber. He becomes heartless to leave Carl with a million dreams that Carl hopes to have with Amber and Earl, but how else, Amanda's plans can not be changed just like that, they had agreed and lived life as usual again, without a man.

A month passed very quickly, this afternoon they were still in the hospital. Amber turned to Carl who was receiving a call from Valerie, there Carl looked happy and it was enough to make Amber back anxious, for some reason. "Darling, I have good news," cried Carl from where he stood now, he walked quickly towards Amber.

"What's wrong?" amber asked confusedly, Carl smiled widely and now sat down beside Amber.

"I got word that Valerie's pregnant and we're invited to dinner there, you want to get ready first, baby?" ask Carl. Amber vigorously nodded her head, leaving the Earl to a nun and began to prepare, but there seemed to be a slight obstacle when the incoming call from Carl's co-worker contacted her, there was doubt when Carl should have refused. "My friend I came home for a while, yesterday he didn't have time to attend, it looks like we're going to be late" Carl explained.

Sure enough, before long, two of Carl's friends came to bring a fairly large gift box, they were so friendly and kind to Amber. "Sounds like you're leaving?" ask Zayn. He seemed to notice Amber and Carl's well-groomed clothes complete with Amber's bag.

"Yes, there is a dinner later, do not feel rushed," said Carl casually. "So when did you get married?" carl asked, making the two smile at each other.

"Oh, we haven't thought about it yet" Rosie replied. Their conversation began to lengthen with various topics of conversation. When Zayn and Rosie left. Carl looked at the clock in his hand.

Amber shook her head slowly. "No, we still have time" Amber said calmly. They started to get out of the house and into the car. While on the way there are no conversations they do, Carl is too focused on the road and as much as possible so that he quickly reaches Ken's house, while Amber is silent has no topic at all, he enjoyed the tall buildings he passed by.

Arriving at Kenrich's house, Amber was quite surprised, he still remembered Ken brought Amber here when the house building was still only empty land. "What's the matter, baby?" carl asked while hugging Amber's waist with one hand.

"There's nothing, let's go in" Amber said. Outside the yard there are already some can be parked, they also enter and indeed all have gathered.

Carl first opened the door and Amber just followed into the house, Carl's hand took Amber gently. There everyone gathered, "Everyone, I'm sorry I'm late" Carl said.

Carl's grip was released, Amber chose to sit and join the others. Carl is seen walking towards Ken who is standing. "Sister! Congratulations to you," cried Carl cheerfully, hugging Ken at a glance and releasing him back.

"Congratulations?" ken asked confusedly. Amber who saw that frowned and looked at Carl. Was Carl misinformed?

"Umm-that," Carl hung up his words, he looked around, something was wrong with Ken's confused expression. Carl bites his lower lip when he sees the headbands of Alicia and Jessy. Even Carl only realized that everything was staring at Carl with anxiety. Jesus, Carl forgot if this was happy news, they were all having a little surprise for Ken! "Happy birthday!" screech Carl quickly.

"Jeez Carl," Valerie muttered as heard by Amber. Amber's smile appeared, it felt like she wanted to laugh, apparently Carl destroyed their little surprise.

"You're close from last year, aren't you? and you declared your love for Valerie right on this date" Carl said.

"Huh?" ken said increasingly confused, he was seen glancing at Valerie.

Justin shook his head, "These two children are like his father, always thwarting plans," Justin grumbled annoyedly to make Jessy who was next to him nudge Justin's arm.

Just as the sound of the door knocking was heard, two servants came in carrying cakes and a long box. "Excuse me madam, the cake" said one of them.

Seeing that everyone was standing, Amber stood up. The cake and the box were placed on the table. One of the two maids opened a box cover featuring a beautiful floral skeleton with a central plank, saying 'We'll meet in 34 weeks' time.'

"Meet? Who?" ken asked while looking at Valerie who was grinning at him. The others showed the same expression.

"Look at the cake dear," whispered Alicia softly. Ken quickly carried the writing on a chocolate bar on a cake that was not too big. He focused too much on the big box, and in the end ken widened his eyes with his mouth slightly open, he quickly looked at Valerie with a look of surprise mixed with happiness. That little writing made him flutter 'Hallo Daddy'.

"Hallo Daddy," said everyone there at the same time. Amber smiled widely, this family was so sweet to make Amber again who could imagine if later she left.

"I-I don't believe this." Ken hugged Valerie tightly, the face looked very happy, and without Amber noticing, Carl wrapped his arms around Amber's waist.

"I almost ruined this surprise" whispered Carl so quietly.

"You did ruin this surprise" said Amber.
