Chapter 41. Is it not too late?

Alya meets her son in prison, she has spoken to the police to release Bara on bail immediately. But, the police did not allow it because this is a case concerning the KDRT and there is already evidence of it.

Bara will not be free easily, until Maura himself retracts his demands. Alya is upset and sad that her son is in prison.

"Bara, are you okay, son? You're okay, right?" Alya asked while looking at Bara who was now wearing a prisoner's shirt.

"How is it okay, ma'am, why are you here?" ask her mother.

"Son, I've spoken to the police to release you. But, they say that you cannot be released on bail and you will remain here until the case is brought to justice! Bara...mother does not want you to languish in prison, how is this Bara?" Alya cried while holding her son's hand.

Bara was not focused when his mother spoke to him, he seemed to be daydreaming, not thinking what. "The coal! You hear mom didn't?"

"Mom, did you go to the hospital?" Bara looked at her mother, she with her gentle gaze looked at Alya.

Alya looked up in surprise, from earlier her son was daydreaming as he spoke and Bara was worried about the state of Maura. "Why are you asking about the hospital? Don't tell me you're worried about your wife?" alya asked her son.

Does Bara really love Maura?. Alya thought in her heart.

"I'm..." Bara was unable to answer Alya.

Am I worried about Maura? I don't know what kind of feeling this is either. I didn't fall asleep because I thought about it.

"Mommy's been to the hospital, I meant to ask her to release you from prison. But..."

Do I have to tell her about Maura's circumstances?

Bara gulped, looking at his mother who did not finish her speech. "But what is Mom? He's fine, right?" Ask her mother.

Alya continued his words. "But he could not be found at that time."

"What do you mean by mom? Can't be found how?" bara asked her mother increasingly curious about the state of Maura.

"He. he..." Alya hesitated to say it to Bara.

"Mother, quickly say! She why?!" Shouted Bara curious about the state of his wife.

"She tried to kill herself" Alya replied as she showed her head.

The man was stunned to hear his mother's reply, what he had done to Maura had imprinted a deep wound on the woman. "W-why isn't that a lie? Is it true that Maura tried to kill herself?!"

"Mom didn't lie, son. I even wondered what you did to her until she was like that? It's almost the same as Alina's, but I see it's worse." Alya explained what she saw about Maura in the hospital.

Clenching his hands, he lowered his head. His eyes were glazed over, tears welled up under Bara's eyes and ready to come out. "Bara..weren't we missing him? After I think about it, we should apologize to Maura and her family before it's too late. All of this can be repaired! As long as you want to apologize and beg her, I'm sure that she will forgive you! There was still Bara's chance," Alya advised her son to apologize to Maura and her family.

I don't want my son's life ruined because of this grudge, it should have been ended. That man was right, you should have punished Samuel not Maura or his other family. It's wrong and I support my son's revenge because I love Alina like my own.

Alya regrets her actions that have supported Bara to take the path of revenge on Samuel and his family. He asked his son to apologize to Maura before it was too late.

"Bara, you heard me, right?" Alya saw her son daydreaming, with tears in his eyes.

"I raped her, I beat her, I also hurt her heart by accusing her of sleeping with another man, not enough with all that I snatched her family property, put her brother in jail, and I got her to go to jail, getting her father into the hospital.Why after everything I've done, will she forgive me?" Bara is not confident that Maura will forgive his mistakes.

"Mother sure, Maura is a good girl. You are still her husband, you can still make peace!" alya said trying to convince his son that Maura's heart will be melted by Bara.

"If you're sorry, then you should apologize to him. It's also the only way you can survive the punishment, you don't want your son's life destroyed to end up in prison!" Alya said to her son.

"I'll definitely apologize, I'll do anything so I can apologize to her Mom." Bara sincerely wanted to apologize to Maura. One night in prison has made her change, it's not all of a sudden but because she dreams of seeing Alina.

In her dream, Alina cried in disappointment that Bara had hurt women. She asks that Bara stop taking revenge because she doesn't like Bara's revenge by hurting other women instead.

Alina even told Bara. "What is the difference between you and Samuel, Bara? Why would you do such a thing to a woman who loves you so much? Bara AWAKEN.before you are late and lose the love of your life. I'm happy here, Bara.so you should be happy too!"

Those words kept ringing in Bara's mind, reminding her of the memories of Maura. How did the girl love him sincerely during her 4 years of lies? Would it be easy for Maura to forgive him? Is it not too late for EVERYTHING?

Alya held Bara's hand, "Mother will go to the hospital to apologize to her first and see how things are.You take it easy, you will definitely get out of here!" Alya said to Bara.

At the hospital, Maura woke up that afternoon from her sleep. Hanna was beside him, she immediately looked towards Maura as soon as she realized that Maura's hand was twitching. "Hanna..."

"Maura, are you conscious?" Hanna asked the woman.

My God, is he going to be like this morning? I should be ready to call the two men in front of it just in case Maura is like that.

"Hanna, where's Bryan?" Maura asked Bryan.

"Sir Bryan? He must be in his office at this hour, what's wrong? Why are you asking him?" Hanna was surprised because when her friend woke up, she asked Bryan instead.

Why did Maura ask that bule? But thank God he didn't go on a rampage like that.

"I.want to talk to him now." said Maura with a breath of breath because her body was still weak.

"All right, I'll call him."

I better follow what Maura says, than she will do the no-no.

"But Maura, I don't have her number?" Hanna is confused because she doesn't have Bryan's number.

Maura pointed towards her bag that was on the table. Hanna picks up Maura's phone, and she calls Bryan right from there.

"Not yet appointed either, does he work again huh?" hanna muttered confusedly.

Maura was speechless and daydreaming, she clenched her hands anxiously remembering last night's incident.

No Embers! It's all over between us.

When Hanna was still trying to call Bryan through Maura's phone, suddenly someone was standing in front of the door of the room. Maura stared intently at that person.

"Maura..."

"Why is mom here?" maura asked cynically at the woman she referred to as mother.
