Chapter 51. Vera's advice

Vera is the night woman Bara once helped when she was almost gang-raped by a striped-nose man. When he was working as an OT in one of the karaoke places, he went out of the entertainment place that night and got another job, which was to be his pretend affair so that Maura was injured.

Now it's Vera's turn to help Bara get her love back and pay Bara's kindness to her.

"Why did you ask me to get a divorce? If I get divorced, that guy will definitely get closer to her!" Bara did not accept the solution Vera had given him.

"Bara, do you want your wife to get closer to the man. While you're in jail?"

"Bara, calm down. I'm sure Maura will forgive you, even God will forgive you if you repent and truly regret what you did, and then fix it." The woman smiled wisely giving the spirit to atone for sins.

After the conversation, Vera leaves the police station and Bara also returns to her cell. Inside the cell, Bara fell silent and thought again about Vera's suggestion.

In front of the Xander group's office, Maura was still standing there and sculpting. Actually he felt that there was a sharp look at him from behind. Yeah, that look came from Nathan's secretary at his father's company.

As if he were asking me, do I regret or not for my actions as if the sins of his father were a trivial thing? Maura, you are so arrogant! Just like your father. Maura and Nathan get into a fight in front of Bryan's company. They argued about sin and regret, which were related to Samuel's behavior.

"Sir Nathan..why can't my father's mistakes be enough to apologize?"

Nathan sizzles cynically. "It's easy for you to talk like that, Ma'am Maura, my sister, to be in a mental institution maybe forever and you say everything can be done with sorry? It's funny that you and my sister are both women, but you don't have any empathy at all."

The sarcasm! Those are the words that came from Nathan's mouth to Maura that showed as if Maura was selfish and underestimated her father's mistakes. Perhaps it was because Maura still considered that her father was a good person and she had not seen how genuine her father was.

Maura was stunned by Nathan's words, visible from her instantly speechless self. Curiosity arises in him, so he wants to know what happened to Nathan's brother. But he did not dare to ask more. Maura only knew from Bara, that Nathan's brother was in a mental hospital because he had a mental illness caused by Samuel's abuse.

"I didn't make an appointment with Mr. Bryan, but I have something to give him." Clearly Maura was courteously on that bodyguard.

"Sorry Mom, if mom hasn't made an appointment then mom's not--"

"Hey! You stop," Ferry ran over to Maura and Nathan in the hallway. "Sorry, Ma'am Maura, they are new employees so they don't know about the president's schedule well."

Do they want to die, how dare to prevent the prospective mistress from meeting with the president? If the president finds out, they could get fired!

"Sir Ferry, this lady-" a man was about to speak to Ferry but Ferry quickly stopped him.

"Hehe, Ma'am Maura wants to see Mr. Bryan, right? Please walk straight, Mr. Bryan is at the very end of the room." Ferry was very friendly, he was friendly with Maura.

"If Mr. Bryan is busy, I'd better just go. It was my fault for not making a promise" Maura felt guilty, while Nathan stood there as if he wasn't there.

"Sir, why are you so friendly with him? He did not have an appointment with the president," said a bodyguard at Ferry.

"ah! You just shut up and thank me, if it wasn't for me you'd get fired, you know?"

"Why is that, sir?"

"Good day sir" Maura said to Bryan.

The woman's melodious voice suddenly made Bryan raise his head. He then laughed when he saw Maura in front of his eyes.

"Damn! What the hell is this? Why are you here?!" Bryan grunted in annoyance.

Again I fantasized that he was in front of me right now.

"Sir, I..." Maura looked at Bryan guiltily.

He seems really angry.

"On the count of 3," Bryan pointed out the number 3 with his finger.

"Yes?" maura's forehead wrinkled.

"If you don't leave on the count of three, I will devour you! You gotit?!"

"What do you mean, father?" Maura's innocent eyes looked at Bryan, she did not understand what the man was saying.

"One...two...three...get away from before me after this!"

Bryan approached Maura, he grabbed Maura's tiny body, then he buried her chewy object on Maura's pretty lips.
