Waiting for the Love of the Country
S2 | Oma Cemetery

The departure of Oma Syifa became the most profound sorrow for their entire extended family. Now their elders are all gone, the body of Oma Syifa buried in the house of Fahri's father. The news of the death of the General's in-laws had reached the heads of the Kodam leaders and staff. They immediately helped the Military family. Especially when Mirda also has a position as a Company Commander in his Battalion.

Mother Gisya still continues to cry beside the corpse of her mother who is now covered by a white cloth. Oma Syifa's face was glowing, even as if she was smiling.

"Darling, strong! Mother was happy there," Father Fahri embrace the body of the wife.

"InshaAllah I am sincere, Bang! It's just, the longing to hear the nagging and see the sweet smile Mother still holds my heart. I will never be able to hear and see it all again," with all my heart Mother Gisya tried to affirm herself.

Not far from Mother Gisya, Elmira was still crying sobbing. Still vividly remembered in his memory, how Oma Syifa took care of him from childhood to adulthood.

"Astaghfirulloh, strengthen my heart O Allah," Elmira lowered her head withholding every tear that had escaped just soaking her cheeks.

"Pubu tata mata ndong Yangti," whined Sweta to Elmira, again Elmira could only hug her little daughter.

"So dear, Yangti is already happy in Heaven, son. InshaAllah we will meet again with Yangti, in Jannah," Elmira stroked the boy's head who clearly did not understand the mother's words.

Dirga, who was behind Elmira, rubbed Sweta's head and carried her into her lap.

"Sweet boy, don't cry! Look, Eyang Uti again bobo. If Sweta is crying, then Eyang Uti will be sad. Sweta don't want to be Eyang Uti crying?" tanya Dirga stroked Sweta's cheek.

"No! Yangti nda boyeh angis, tata anji ga angis," Sweta gives her pinky finger to Dirga as a sign of her promise.

"Pinter's son! Now open his hands, we must pray with God. Let Eyang Uti always be happy, Sweta will always do'ain Eyang Uti?" Dirga smiled when she saw the little girl nod happily.

It did not escape the sight of Indira who is currently crying on Athaya's boat. He wanted to hug Dirga again, but he remembered it was all wrong.

"Sstt, don't cry anymore, baby! Oma was happy there," Athaya continued to gently rub Indira's head.

"I want to go to the room first, I need time alone," Indira moved up and walked towards her room. Athaya moved on, and sat herself down beside Alan.

The mothers of Persit had come, they helped prepare the funeral of Oma Syifa. They arranged flowers to place on the coffins, they also made some dishes that would be served when the mourners returned from the tombs. In Sundanese customs, it is called 'Nyusur Tanah'. Nyusur Tanah is to thank the family to those who have helped take care of the body and done after the completion of the funeral held at the funeral home by reciting prayers together and being given a meal.

At exactly 10 a.m., they were ready to deliver the body of Oma Syifa to her final resting place. Gisya and Syauqi agreed to bury Oma Syifa beside her Father's Pusara.

"Teh, Uqi can't! Uqi can't afford tea, Uqi is alone now! Mother went to leave Uqi," Syauqi felt her entire body go limp.

"The strong, Qi! If you're weak, how about something? Tetuh need you Uqi," said Mother Gisya.

"Astaghfireloh, astaghfirulloh! O Allah, strengthen me O Allah," Shauqi hugged his knees crying.

"Qiao! Look Brother! Strong Uqi..! You are now a husband and also a father..! Strong Uqi, strong! Your brother and sister are still alive, Uqi! You are not alone!" Fahri shook Syauqi's body.

Finally they all set out with escorts, several tens of cars were already lined up to deliver Oma Syifa to her final resting place. Dirga drives a car carrying Mirda, Elmira, Alana and Husain. Athaya drives a car carrying Indira, Alan, Theresia, and Afifah. The parents were in the car that delivered Oma Syifa. The flash of mass memory then haunted Mama Febri's mind, inside there she could not stop crying.

A tent has been standing there, Father Fahri became the front row that transports the coffin of the In-law. It was accompanied by Baba, Papa Zaydan, Mirda, Husain, and Alan. While Mother Gisya and Syauqi now embrace each other tightly, venting all the pain that hit her chest.

The funeral procession took place, Fahri's father went into the burrow. He charged the body of the In-law, desperately holding back his tears. Slowly the ground began to cover the corpse of Oma Syifa. Who would have thought, Dirga also participated in the funeral procession. He did not care if his clothes were now full of land, as well as Mirda and Thoriq as the granddaughter-in-law. While Athaya continues to be beside Indira, she does not want to be far from the lover.

The funeral is over, they all go home. The flowers of condolence had filled all the way to Fahri's father's house. Mother Gisya immediately went to her room, she embraced the last clothes worn by the Mother.

"Ca! Istighfar, inget said Mother! You can cry, but don't drag on! Kasian Mommy, Ca! You have to be tough, outside there are still many guests," Mama Febri tried to remind his best friend.

"Astaghfirulloh, astaghfirulloh, ashghfirulloh! Get me, Biw, Lil!" lirih Bunda Gisya's.

"Definitely, Ca! We'll always keep you together," Ummi Ulil gently rubbed his best friend's head.

Indira and Elmira are now welcoming relatives who say their condolences. Looking at Dirga who had not changed clothes, he just rinsed his clothes until it got wet. As Indira moved from her seat, she borrowed Mirda's clothes from Elmira.

"Thank you, Shafa!" Dirga was very happy with Indira's attention.

"Don't forget to call your wife, Mom! Fearing he was worried," Indira said with a flat face and impressed sniffling, she then turned around.

"I'm not married!"

The deg!

As Indira was about to ask, Athaya came and took Indira away.

"Why are you paying attention to him, Ra?! I'm here, can't you appreciate me as your future husband?!" it was true that Athaya's emotions began to ignite.

"I just love her change of clothes Bang Mirda! He's the one who's been anterin me all the way here, when you disappeared, when I needed to!" Kesal Indira's.

"I'm sorry, Dira! I know, I was wrong! But......."

"Enough Athaya! I am still in mourning! Save all your frustration, and pass it on to me later," Indira left in a fit of rage.

The do'a event together and eating together has begun, they all gathered at the residence of Fahri's father. Lots of their relatives who came, did not even expect if his brother Fabian was also present from Palembang. Fahri's father hugged his sister tightly, now they are both orphans.

"I'm so sorry, Bang! Mother of the good and the righteous, InshaAllah became a member of Heaven. Caca tea, that's strong huh!" Fabian hugged his brother-in-law.

"Ck! It was his embrace," upset Fahri's father let go of Fabian's embrace.

Fabian narrowed his eyes, he saw someone he was very familiar with.

"That's not Dirga, is it? He's a soldier who almost died in Lebanon, Bang! His love story until crowded in the Military, because his heart surgery twice he let his girlfriend tied up people! If not wrong, he is also his son Agung Dirgantara, Bang! You must know, right?" what his uncle said struck Indira's heart.

"Yes, you know, he helped with the funeral. He was a good boy, loyal to the country! Despite having to lose her love," Fahri's father looked at Indira with a difficult gaze to decipher.

The time has shown at 7 pm, Dirga said goodbye to return to Sukabumi. Because tomorrow he has to follow the morning apple, even though Father Fahri and Bang Mirda have tried to prevent it.

"I have a responsibility, Bang! I'm the Company Commander, I can't. InshaAllah I will be careful," Dirga kissed Father Fahri's hand and said goodbye.

"Mother, don't be sad! InshaAllah, Oma is by Allah's side in the best place. I say goodbye, ask for his prayers so that I am safe until Sukabumi," said Dirga.

"Don't see Dira first?" Mother Gisya stroked Dirga's cheeks.

"Other times, Mother! I say goodbye, Assalamualaikum,"

"Walaikumsalam," they said in unison.

"Love cannot be explained how big, one might judge love as big as the world, the ocean, even the sky. But no one can measure how much he loves logic. If last year I could only mention you in the do'a, hopefully this year can mention your name in kabul ijab, Indira Myesha Kirania Syafa," Dirga's inner gaze at Indira's bedroom window.
