CHAPTER 8. The Life of Fahri

Fahri bowed lethargic, all this time he was very caring for his heart only for Santi. But apparently, during these 2 years he was betrayed. Santi is Fahri's first love, it's been since their High School. But when Fahri decides to become a soldier, Santi's parents disapprove of their relationship. Fahri still does not expect, the woman he trusts the most betrayed him.

"Why did you betray me? Why did you break my trust? What wrong? Why Santi? Why?!" fahri shouted in frustration.

Fahri flushed his body under the shower, letting the pain flow with the water.

Andi did not find Fahri in his room, Andi began to worry. But when he heard the sound of water in the bathroom, Andi could breathe a sigh of relief. It's been almost 1 hour, Fahri didn't come out of the bathroom.

"Ri, are you inside? Fahri, answer Fahri!" yelled Andi while banging on the bathroom door.

Because there was no answer, Andi broke down the bathroom door. Fahri was sitting under the shower.

"Wake Fahri! You are an officer!! What is it because the woman***** that you are like this? Conscious Fahri!!" yelled Andi shaking Fahri's body.

But Fahri still bowed lethargic with a blank look. Although Andi had no intention of hurting Fahri, but to resuscitate him Andi slapped Fahri's cheek quite hard.

Akaakkkkkkkkk!!

"You men! You officers!! Gisya is capable!! Conscious jerk!" yelled Andi who made Fahri gasp. Hearing Andi mention the name Gisya made Fahri realize.

"Why do all the women I love leave me Ndi. First Mother, now Santi." said Fahri still with a blank look. Maybe the water can't come out anymore.

"You still have Mama Risma! He who takes care and educates you until you can be like now, Come on Ri, this is not the Fahri I know." Andi said trying to encourage Fahri.

"How's Gisya doing?" ask Fahri suddenly.

"He's conscious, it's just that he's still in incentive care. We're waiting for the Commander in the Office, get ready!" said Andi.

After changing his clothes, Fahri and Andi headed to the Commander's Office. They will be assigned to Papua tomorrow morning, as a State Servant they must be ready anytime and anywhere to serve.

Fahri was the son of a soldier, but his father died while on duty. His mother died of depression. Fahri was 8 years old. Because both of his parents were only children, Fahri really had no relatives. Until finally he was adopted by Major General Hari Prabowo and his wife. Fahri was educated and cared for like their own child, because at that time he did not have children.

The Flashback

Fahri, whose mother had just left, suffered a psychic trauma. He doesn't want to talk to anyone and doesn't want to eat anything. Until finally Risma and Hari decided to adopt Fahri. After being approved by the Union, Hari begins to approach Fahri and talk to him. Fahri who always get the attention of both of them began to melt.

"Fahri, from now on this Om and Auntie are your parents. We will love you like our own son. Promise me, continue Dika's struggle as an officer. Fahri understand?" say Day.

"Yes Papa Hari, Fahri understood. Thank you Papa and Mama want to take care of Fahri," said Fahri.

"You call Mama, son?" asked Risma with teary eyes.

"Yes Mama Risma, I'm sorry Fahri. Now Fahri is happy to have Mama and Papa. Fahri promised to be proud of Father, Mother, Mama and also Papa." said Fahri hugged Risma tightly.

"Thank you, Son. Fahri Mama's dear son." Risma kept hugging Fahri.

Risma proves her point, she takes care of and educates Fahri like her own biological son. Two years later, Risma conceived and gave birth to a son. But Risma never discriminated, they were treated the same. That's what makes Fahri very fond of his adoptive parents.

Long story short, Fahri just graduated High School. It has been 1 year, Fahri established a relationship with Santi. The sweet girl who was always by his side. Fahri will express his intention to enter the Military Academy. They are currently sitting together on the terrace of Santi House.

"San, I'll pass on to Akmil. Are you going to wait for me?" ask Fahri to Santi.

"I will always support whatever your choice is, Ri. I'm always waiting for you, but I'm sorry I had to follow both of my parents. We will move to Jakarta" Santi explained.

"It's okay, we can still communicate via phone. Can you faithfully wait for me?" asked Fahri while holding Santi's hand.

"Will not wait for you who are not clear!" it was Santi's father who had just arrived.

"But Om, I love Santi so much." Fahri said.

"My son's future isn't just eating love! Enter Santi!" firmly Santi's father.

Santi was only able to obey his father's wishes, and Fahri could not do anything. Fahri finally decided to go back to his house.

Risma saw the lethargic face of her son, she was sure that her beloved son was not doing well.

"Ang just got home? Here sit next to Mama," pinta Mama Risma. Fahri walked up to his mother, and lay on her lap.

"Why is my brother lethargic? I don't think Mama's gonna feed you bang!" kanda Mama Risma's.

"Santi's parents didn't allow us to date Ma" Fahri said.

"Loh why? Not that it's been all right,"

"Because Abang continued to Akmil Ma, his father said that the Army had no future. Brother wants to continue the struggle, Ma. Brother wants to make you proud of your brother."

Risma sighed, she fondly stroked her son's hair. Currently Fahri is in a labile age, Risma does not want his son to just follow the ego alone.

"Bang, the road is still long. If Santi is destined to be the soul mate, no matter how complicated your relationship. Surely you will unite, now you must prepare yourself. Prove that you can boast of all of us. According to Mama, for now pursue the ideals of Abang. Don't think about anything else" Risma advised her favorite son.

"Ih Abang is like a baby hugging Mama" said Fabian's only brother Fahri.

"Let this be Mama Abang, weeee" Fahri stuck out his tongue to his sister.

"Abaaalonggg!! That's also Mama Bian, look out for Bian sayin Papa," said Bian chasing after his brother who had run.

"Abang, Bian, you're tired! Here, you two are Mama's favorite!" They hugged Risma at the same time. Fahri feels lucky to be their son, even though he is not a biological child. But their affection is so great.

That night Fahri was preparing his needs during Akmil. Fahri's phone rang, one message came in from Santi.

Santi.

I'll wait for you Fahri, spirit! I hope you graduate and can be proud of everyone. I'm sorry, our relationship will be fine.

Fahris.

Thanks darlin. If I could, I would definitely call you. Keep this relationship, someday I'll ask you.

Santi.

I will wait for the time it arrives 🤗❤

Getting a message from Santi, makes Fahri more eager to fight for their relationship.

After graduating from Akmil, Fahri got a job in NTT. But because his achievements are good, after a year there Fahri get a promotion from Lettda to Lettu and happened to be assigned in Jakarta. Fahri and Santi's relationship was said to be fine, only they rarely communicate because of Fahri's very busy activities.

When arriving in Jakarta, Fahri took the time to visit Santi. He longed for his love, but again the Universe was not on his side. Fahri is evicted by both of Santi's parents. With a heavy heart, Fahri returned to the Battalion.

Santi continues to keep Fahri excited to fight for their relationship. That's what makes Fahri trust Santi so much. But as it turns out, it was only to cover up his guilt towards Fahri.

Off Flashback.

Andi and Fahri were preparing the items they were going to bring. Tonight Andi took the time to say goodbye to Febri and his parents. Incidentally, they are all still in the hospital waiting for Gisya who is in critical condition. Fahri accompanies Andi, as he also wants to see Gisya. Maybe for the last time, Fahri thought. They are currently in the Waiting Room.

"Assalamu'alakum" said Fahri and Andi simultaneously.

"Halaikumsalam" they all answered.

Fahri approached Bunda Syifa who looked limp in the arms of Uwak Ais.

"Mom, this is Fahri. I must be strong, Gisya strong girl. Fahri is sure everything will be fine" said Fahri rubbed the soft shoulder of Mother Syifa.

"Aamiin, pray Gisya yes, Nak Fahri. Trust me, you'll get their much better replacement,"

"InshaAllah ma'am, I say ma'am. I was assigned to Papua, give my regards to Gisya. May Gisya be healed and happy." Do'a Fahri is sincere to Gisya.

Andi is currently in the Hospital Canteen with Febri and his mother.

"Dinda, Mommy. I have a duty to Papua, tomorrow morning I will leave. I don't know until when, sorry if I can't keep my promise to ask Dinda next month. I resigned, whatever the decision of Mother and Dinda. InshaAllah I accept," Andi explained.

"Why Febri, Mama left all the decisions to Febri. I just want my son to be happy. You talk, from heart to heart. Mama accompanied Mother Syifa first," said Mama Rini.

"How's Dinda's decision?" andi asked with uneasiness.

"Mas, it's not like we're like this once, is it? The difference is that we are committed now. God willing I will always wait, Mom. I believe in God's destiny, be careful there. Must remember there is me waiting for you here," said Febri reassured Andi.

"Thank you Dinda, I'll always remember that. May God keep our relationship, until Mas justify you later," said Andi embraced Febri.

Fahri asks permission to enter the Gisya Hospital Room, inexplicably Fahri feels guilty for the incident that happened to Gisya. He and Gisya are both victims of betrayal. Fahri walked up to Gisya who was lying weakly with various tools attached to his body.

"Gisya, it's me Fahri. I know, you can listen to me. Arise Gisya, pity Mother and others. I'm sure you're a strong woman, I say goodbye to Gisya." Fahri sees a tear coming out at the end of Gisya's eye.

"May you find your happiness, and so will I. Smile Gisya, be happy. Assalamualaikum," whispered Fahri in Gisya's ear.

The nurses who thought that Fahri Gisya's lover felt moved by Fahri's attitude.

"That's romantic! Feel like watching a live drama," said one of the nurses named Indri.

"So I want to have a girlfriend of the army" said one of the doctors.

Fahri came out of the Gisya Hospital Room and said goodbye to everyone, as well as Andi.

"You take care! Do not forget me, even though our meeting was short but our friendship continues," said Jafran hugged Fahri and Andi.

"Every pilot, you always take care of yourself. Smoothly your marriage, and hopefully I can catch up soon." Andi said while holding tightly Febri's hand.

"Aamiinn, remember we all stay friends! Don't forget that" said Yuliana.
