Yudha and Selfina set their feet down the hospital corridor at a rapid pace. No one has spoken between the two since they got there.
"Mas Yudha" said one girl who immediately hugged the man when she arrived at a special room for Maher Abdullah. He was crying and speaking indistinctly.
Selfina just silently stared at the girl who seemed to be very familiar with her husband.
"Om Maher's gonna get well, right?" she asked with her tears. Yudha immediately let go of the girl's embrace without saying a word. He just nodded with an indecipherable expression.
"Papa, wake up pa" said Yudha with a choked throat. The middle-aged man who was his real father did not react at all. His breath was a little bit visible from his chest that rose and fell weakly.
"Papa must be strong. Come on pa, hold on," Yudha said again with a trembling voice. The crying is broken now. A man who took care of her and raised her is now fighting death.
Whose heart will not be broken to see that man has no more power and power.
Although he is not a dream father because he is often married but he is quite responsible for all his wives and children. We have equal rights in economics and education.
"Papa, I'm coming pa. Papa must be strong. God is forgiving. Apologize to Him and say astaghfirullahal adzim" whispered Yudha in the ear of the father who was in the aid of oxygen.
"Astaghfirullahal adzim, la Ilaha illallah," whispered Yudha many times in the weak man's ears. Maher Abdullah opened his eyes and moved his hand. He touched Yudha's hand and ended up unconscious.
"Father!" yudha shouted in panic. Everyone comes closer. The doctor even the police on guard looked shocked.
"Sir Maher has left. Innalilahi wa Inna ilaihi Raji'un" said a doctor who accompanied Maher Abdullah since the correctional institution.
Merry and Hanum hugged each other with their broken cries. They roared inwardly as they had already been completely abandoned by the figure of the man who had filled their hearts for decades.
Selfina is the same. Although he was not very familiar with the man but the sadness from his heart could not be ignored. He was crying in silence.
His sadness grew even more when he saw all the children of Maher Abdullah roaring with tears breaking.
Really, she wanted to give a hug to her husband who was hit but she had to take care of herself. Their relationship is not yet public for now.
"All must be sincere so that papa's spirit is calm there," Yudha said while shrinking his tears. His voice shook and seemed unable to get out.
"We were separated from Papa when he was alive and there was still hope to meet him, but now all our dealings with him are done. Please ask the mother and sisters to forgive and give thanks, and pray," continued the man then re-hugged the lifeless body.
There was no sound other than the sound of crying in the room for a few minutes. Selfina herself quickly contacted her father and mother about this bad news. Praja and his wife did not forget he gave news.
After giving time for family members to convey and let out their sadness, the team of doctors and the police took over their duties.
Official affairs on the body must be carried out with very strict protocol before it is returned to his family.
Yudha sat on a bench in the hospital hallway feeling a little dazed.
I don't think he believes what just happened. It is still like in a dream world.
Why is papa doing this? Doesn't papa feel better in the cell.
Is there anything that disturbs his mind enough that he wants to end his life?
O Allah, forgive all your sins.
Yudha covered her face with her shoulders down. He was weak and cried in silence. A sense of tightness and regret piled up in his heart.
Selfina who had since seen the man in a state of sadness immediately stepped her feet closer. She wanted to be a place for her husband to share his sadness.
Selfina stopped her steps because she was quite disturbed by the arrival of a beautiful girl who immediately hugged her husband again like a moment ago.
"I'm a close relative of om Maher then why don't you guys ever even give me news huh? You have to, hiks." The girl slapped Yudha's shoulder softly with a whimpering cry.
Yudha did not answer. He still holds his position as before. Crying in silence.
The two men appeared to be letting out their grief about Maher Abdullah's departure. Selfina doesn't want to bother. She believes the girl has a close blood and emotional relationship with her husband.
The woman slowly walked away trying to comfort herself. He should be prejudiced and should not think. Yudha was grieving and it was not her place to share because their relationship had to be hidden.
He left the place and chose to stay away. Yudhi who had been silent since then quickly followed where Selfina went.
"Mak Sel," he called. Selfina stopped her steps. He turned around and saw Yudhi smiling at him.
"Mas Yudhi, I mourn," said Selfina with tears hanging from her eyelids. There's a lot of flavor there. Sad, disappointed, and forgotten.
"Yes mbak. Thanks a lot."
They both fell silent. Selfina breathed.
"Mas, Yudhi fortunately quickly contacted us about the situation of Mr. Maher," said Selfina with thinning lips.
"Yes mbak. Only Selfina's sister I first remember back then because Yudha's sister was hard to contact."
"Ah yes mas," said Selfina with a thumping feeling. He realized that they were busy talking about their marriage. So chances are Yudha did not activate the phone.
"Hopefully the business business that is being done by Brother Yudha is not disturbed by this sad news" Yudhi said.
"Ah is not. We have also done his business. Everything went well." Selfina again smiled thinly with a thumping chest.
"We go to the cafeteria first mbak, wait for the affairs of papa's body to be finished and we go home."
"Ah yes, that's a good idea. I am also very thirsty. We arrived in this city without the slightest rest on the way."
"Ah yes mbak. Thank you so much for coming like your own family."
I am a new member of your family now.
They both arrived at the cafeteria. Selfina picked up a few bottles of cold drink to share with the rest of the family who were still waiting around the recovery room.
"We're drinking here, ma'am?" ask Yudhi.
"Not for mas. Mr. Yudha must need a drink too. Mama uh aunt too. So we need to get back to that place as soon as possible."
"Ah yes, alright," Yudhi replied smiling. He further praised the kind nature of Selfina.
