Chapters. 44 Subtle Referrals

"Mother said she was going back home, Dad" Zahra said in the car.

To Deya and Edward's surprise, they look at each other in the mirror.

"really?" edward asked to remain calm.

"Yes, if you will," said Zahra hesitatingly, looking at her father.

"But I said Dad would let Mom go home, you'd be happy, wouldn't you?" zahra continued excitedly.

For a moment Edward was silent, then nodded. He looked at Deya from the rearview mirror that looked riled up.

When the break came, Zahra came out of her classroom. In front was Deya walking towards him.

"Why is his face bent like that?"

"Said teacher tomorrow Brother can't wait for me outside the classroom."

"Why can't it?"

"Because my friends didn't do it either. I've grown so I can take care of myself" replied Zahra.

"Oh, honey, if you don't want to let brother talk to his teacher to give you a dispensation. So don't pout like that."

"But..but said friends are also like that whose school awaited father and mother is a child of Taman Kanak."

"Then, what should you do?"

"I don't know." Zahra was crying.

Deya hugged him.

"Mother means that teacher's good to let you be independent."

"If I'm like any other kid it doesn't matter but I'm in a wheelchair." Deya who heard was sad.

Zahra was invited by Deya to sit on the edge of the classroom under a tree.

"Say your wheelchair buddies are cool, so you don't have to be inferior or lack confidence."

"It's not so, brother. I find it hard to do everything in this wheelchair, my movements are limited."

"Oh, if you don't use a wheelchair, it's easier."

"Yes, being able to crouch down picking up something that falls to the floor can continue to walk unobstructed something can run with friends." Zahra looked at her friend who was playing freely outside.

"You want to be like them too?"

Zahra nodded.

"Then get into therapy let it be like that."

"But brother, it hurts I can't do it."

"Zahra remember, ever seen a big brother's father sitting in a wheelchair like Zahra?"

"Yes, that time in the hospital?"

"Hmm, my brother's father can now walk again even though he had fallen in the bathroom again after surgery and entered the hospital. However, his father did not despair he was eager to follow the therapy until slowly able to stand up, walk again and then return to normal as before."

Zahra listened to Deya's advice.

"It's only a moment's pain if you can handle it, but if you stay in a wheelchair you'll still be said to be an abnormal person and it's more painful right?"

Zahra nodded. "But I'm scared."

"There is a brother who will accompany." Zahra was doubtful.

"We can also practice at home, after school so you can walk quickly. But according to the doctor's advice."

"Don't be afraid, there's a big brother who will always accompany you. We can get through this both."

"But to say that you're going to leave after two months means you're staying another month."

"Silver promise you won't leave before you can walk normally."

"I don't want you to leave" said Zahra, hugging Deya tightly. "I love big brother.''

Deya returned Zahra's embrace and rubbed her back. Nor does he know what his future will be like. What if Soraya goes back to Edward? However, their relationship was stronger because there was Zahra among them besides, their marriage was legal and sanctioned by Edward's family. While he was just a worthless stash and was worthy of being hated by everyone.

Deya and Zahra got home at three in the morning. They went into the house and told him about Zahra's daily life at school.

"That school lesson was easy for me, closing my eyes was easy."

"You should be thankful for being given a smart brain by God."

"You're home, honey?" sapa Soraya approached towards Zahra.

"Mom's back in this house?" ask Zahra.

"Isn't this our home, of course, mother will return to this house." Soraya takes control of Zahra's wheelchair by getting rid of Deya a little harshly.

"How's school?" ask Soraya.

"Good, ma'am, I got a 100 but there's a sports lesson and I can't come along because...." The mother and son left Deya alone. The woman could only breathe.

"It's good, you know your position, so you don't have to act outside of your job."

Mr. Lee then walked away from Deya.

"Wait!" prevent Deya from advancing forward and standing in front of Mr. Lee's.

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean well, miss. If you get out of here fast it'll be better." Mr. Lee continued his steps again.

Deya laughed without making a sound, then exhaled a rough breath. It's only been two days but he's been feeling depressed.

"Well dinner this time what is Madam?" tanya Mak Saroh who turned out to be a jebolan from a famous chef school in Indonesia, only if it was done with his job he would only use ordinary negligee like other servants. His side job is a vlogger, who often posts the dishes he makes. He lives alone because his family died in an accident. It makes him feel at home to live here because he feels this house as his family.

"I want a Korean food menu" said Soraya, who is opening a fashion magazine.

"But our wagyu is running out Madam, I forgot to buy it."

Soraya threw away the magazine she was holding.

"Anything you do as long as I'm not around. The meat can be nothing. No problem, I wonder why Edward still hires stress people like you when there are better chefs than you."

Mak Saroh's eyes reddened, he lowered his head deeply. Sometimes Deya saw the woman wiping her tears.

"Madam, let me buy it first at the supermarket."

"It's five o'clock is it time enough to buy and cook it?"

"How about the seafood menu Madam, I just bought it yesterday at the market because you want to eat it."

"Edward wants that menu?" ask Soraya.

"Yes Madam," replied Mr. Lee politely.

"Then cook the menu well and there is no shortage in shape or taste."

"Good, Madam," Mr. Lee and Mak Saroh then left the place and Soraya went to her room casually like she had done nothing wrong.

Deya came out from behind the wall and stared at the departure of her employer and servant. Is that Soraya's true nature? Ruggedly. It's only right that Edward's looking for another woman.
