Broken Before It Starts

"Good morning" Raymond greeted Mika as soon as he saw the figure of Mika standing in front of her bedroom door.

Raymond was putting up his tie getting ready to go to work. Mika approached towards him. Mika takes over Raymond's tie and pairs it up.

"Son didn't know you were good at wearing a tie" Raymond stared wistfully at the woman he loved.

"I do it often for daddy."

"You okay?" asked Raymond, looking closely at Mika's face.

"Sister doesn't want to scold me" Mika looked up and her eyes clashed with Raymond's bead of ash.

"Why brother should be angry, did you make a mistake" Raymond frowned his forehead pretending to be confused.

Mika grunts.

"Sir's feeling wasn't drunk last night"

Raymond chuckled

"So early in the morning come here to apologize."

"Sorry" great-grandson Mika.

"For?" ask Raymond.

Mika clucked in annoyance. Mika realizes Raymond is working on her.

"All right, sit down first. Brother also wants to hear what you're about to say." Raymond pulled Mika's hand to follow her.

"I want a sister, I mean we're speeding up our marriage. I'll call mommy and daddy to come home soon" Mika said seriously.

Raymond frowned in confusion

"You want to continue our marriage"

Mika nodded

"Did you change your mind?"

"No, that's not what your brother and Felix meant.."

"I don't want to talk about that. I was just drunk last night" Mika interrupted Raymond's remark.

"When you listen to brother, you know what you said last night is purely from your heart. You don't have to feel guilty for your brother. Brother doesn't want to marry you just because you feel unfair with brother. Mika, Felix's best friend brother and sister believe she can definitely make you happy."

"Sister can also make me happy, does brother feel insecure."

Raymond nodded.

"Why?"

"Color you don't love brother"

Mika was stunned to not be able to say anything hearing Raymond's reply.

"No matter how hard your brother tries to make you happy his results will look ordinary, different if it divides you the person you love" said Raymond as calm as possible even though his heart was broken.

"From the way you talk, it seems like you don't want to marry me anymore."

"If you ask about brother's heart, it's like big brother pulled you into this second as well.But baby your happiness isn't big brother. In your eyes there is only love for Felix. Never sacrifice your happiness just to make others happy" Raymond stroked Mika's hair.

"And you don't deserve it, you've hurt you" he regretted.

"Believe brother is fine, mommy and daddy will also understand after brother explains it" Raymond assured Mika that when he saw the doubt in the woman's eyes.

"I'm sure my sister owed me a great debt of gratitude in the past, so I got this much love from my sister" Mika hugged Raymond.

Raymond chuckled at Mika's words.

"Maybe, and now you're trying to pay off that debt by directing you to pick up your happiness" Raymond said, peeping over Mika's head. Mika tightened her embrace.

"Go away" Raymond let go of his embrace.

"Sister kicked me out" Mika blushed her lips.

"Ouh lately you've been very sensitive, what's wrong with you. Big sister can be late to the office if you continue here and hug big sister like this" Raymond smiled amusedly at the look on Mika's face.

"But what about Ashley and Darren?" mika said glumly as she remembered her last meeting with Ashley.

"Between Ashley and Felix have nothing to do. It was over five years ago" Raymond assured Mika that was true.

"Then Darren, he must have thought I had taken his daddy from his mommy" said Mika sadly.

"Did that fool Felix not say it yet?" Raymond's question made Mika stare at him with a puzzled look.

"Based on that guy. Darren is not Felix and Ashley's son. Darren's Sean and Ashley's son." Raymond explained.

Mika widens her eyes. Aslhey's words yesterday were too ambiguous that Mika so assume that Darren is really the flesh and blood of Felix.

"Now there's nothing that makes you doubt, go away" said Raymond gently.

"Sister I'll pray for you to get a better woman than me. From now on I will be more active in praying." said Mika sincerely.

Raymond chuckles.

Mika squinted her eyes.

"That's very inversely proportional to me. Looking at the type of woman you want, I suspect you might not be pretending to love me"

Raymond chuckled then rattled Mika's hair in a daze.

"Nayla" Mika said again.

Raymond frowning.

"What happened to Nayla?"

"The image of the woman you want leads to Nayla" Mika replied flatly

"You don't intend to match your brother with your best friend, do you?"

"If you're interested why not"

"Oh, I hope you don't mean what you say. You know brother and he never got along."

"Son't just don't recognize her yet."

"Sister isn't interested at all and go get your business done" Raymond pushed Mika out of her room.

Mika returned home. With a passionate feeling Mika entered into his house hoping Felix was still there. Mika runs to her room but does not find Felix. Mika went back down and looked for it in the kitchen and into every corner of the room and the result was nil.

"Okay, maybe he's gone. I'll go to his office and get my report" Mika told herself.

With the light steps of cotton and the small humming that came out of her mouth Mika entered the office lobby. His heart is pounding not because of. Consciously, Mika will express her feelings once again to Felix.

"Oh I can't imagine how happy that man's face will be" Mika smiled amusedly at Felix's reaction upon hearing his statement.

Mika took a breath after being in front of the door of Felix's room. Mika improves her appearance before entering Felix's room. She wanted to make sure she looked beautiful in front of Felix .

"Let's see how surprised my man is to see me here and express my feelings for her" Mika held the doorknob and pushed him.

"All right, I'll marry you. We're getting married in a week. You don't mind our marriage being simple."

Ashley nodded with a happy smile, hugged Felix tightly and then kissed Felix all over his face. Felix just remained silent and did not react.

As if struck by lightning in broad daylight Mika hears Felix and Ashley planning their wedding to be held in a week.

Mika's heart spurred quickly. He was pecking at his spot staring at the nanar towards Felix and Ashley. Ashley stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips closer to Felix's. Ashley kissed Felix's lips. Felix didn't return her kisses but she didn't turn them down either.

Mika firmly gripped her palm. Without being able to compromise her tears.

"Bf..Felix.." said Mika.

Felix and Ashley let go of her kiss and turned towards her.

"Mika" Felix can't hide his surprise nor can Ashley

Mika approached them.

"Felix I was.you and Ashley.." Mika's raving is unclear.

"You hear her?" Felix asked as calmly as possible.

Mika was silent and just stared at Felix.

"Yes, me and Ashley are getting married in a week" Felix said, but with a flat face.

Mika's tears flowed more and more as Felix said it straightforwardly.

"But Felix I.."

"You came to get your report?" Felix interrupted his words.

Mika looked at Felix with great hurt. Mika turned her gaze towards Ashley who had been silent from earlier.

"Ashley said that what Felix said was just a joke?" ask Mika expectantly.

"I'm sorry.I and Felix.."

"Come on Mika, since when a marriage can be used as a joke, and this is take" Felix interrupts Ashley's remarks while handing Mika's report book.

"I'm sorry, but as you heard, we're getting married in one week and we have a lot to prepare, so if it's no business you can leave" Felix said.

Mika stared in disbelief at Felix who could throw him away. Mika did not budge from her place. Felix walked up and opened the door and let Mika go with his hands.

Mika's tears fell increasingly. She could not believe the man she loved could do something like this to her. What game Felix is playing. Just now Mika was about to taste the sweetness of love but her heart was already made to shatter into pieces.

Looking at Mika who was still standing in place Felix approached her and pulled her hand to leave immediately.

"I love you" Felix stopped his steps and turned to look at Mika.

"Felix I love you, this time I consciously said it" Mika looked down at Felix's face.

"As you said this morning I love you and you love me so.."

"And as you said earlier Mika we should not be selfish because it will hurt a lot of people. We can't be together because in reality I'm going to marry Ashley and you're going to marry your fiance Raymond" Felix returned Mika's expressionless words to her face
