Eps. 24
“What do you want to say?” asked Clara who was sitting on the park bench with Lisya.
Lisya squeezed her two hands together. A little down, his eyes looked bright.
“You know I was so devastated when I saw Rey turn out like this?” ask Lisya.
Clara turned to look at Lisya who was still faithful lowered her head. But the next second, he turned his eyes back, enjoying the green scenery in front of him before Lisya finally made a sound again.
“I'm out of sense. Not knowing how to tell Rey, I finally gave her a sign." said Lisya timidly.
"Huh?" Clara turned her head, glaring at Lisya.
"I want to be able to communicate with her, Clara!” great-grandson Lisya defended herself.
All answered, why Reyhan flinch when Clara mentions the word ghost. He was only able to sigh slowly and scratch his non-itchy head, looking at the downcast and laughing Lisya.
“I can't bear to see him continue to be moody and sad." Lisya looked up, "at that time.” Lisya said bringing them to Lisya's memory six months ago.
Reyhan was sitting on the bed, silent in the room. In his hand was an album which he then placed on the bed. Reyhan opened the album, looking at every photo that was there. A rectangular dark brown album containing photos of Reyhan with Lisya.
Several times opening the album, Reyhan occasionally stroked photos with pictures of Lisya in them with a wry smile.
Seeing that made Lisya's heart sliced. Not to mention that Reyhan only locked himself in his room, reluctant to do anything for his survival.
Lisya looked at Reyhan grimly. Then with a bit of her strength, she flipped the album towards the page with a photo of Lisya and Reyhan who were laughing loosely.
Reyhan flinched for a moment, his body peeking at the spot as soon as he saw the album unfolding by itself.
Lisya moved and sat on the bed, next to Reyhan.
“Rey... You should have smiled like this photo while remembering me,” said Lisya smiling gently at Reyhan.
Reyhan looked stiff, he straightened his body suddenly and immediately closed the album. Without tidying up the album, Reyhan stood up and rushed out just like that.
“A-I'm thirsty,” Reyhan murmured softly before finally disappearing behind the door.
Lisya tried to grab Reyhan but he paused. “Did Rey realize it was me?” lirih Lisiah.
Ducking down and smiling wryly, Lisya felt saddened by Reyhan's attitude. Does Reyhan have to be afraid if he finds out, there's still the ghost of his lover at his side?
On another occasion. One morning at the dinner table, Reyhan was blowing a cup of tea in his hand and sipping it slowly. Reyhan scrunched his eyes and forehead as soon as he felt the bitterness of the tea in his hand.
After putting the tea on the table. His hand reached for the bottle that said ‘gula’ in front of him, but the sugar was empty. Reyhan stood up and walked towards the kitchen, opening the cupboard trying to find sugar.
Reyhan's hand grabbed the container that seemed to be sugar, yet it was just an empty spot as he opened it.
Reyhan sighed slowly. “It looks like Mama forgot to buy sugar. Do I have to go out to the minimarket to buy sugar?” Reyhan murmured.
Before long, he walked back to the table where his tea was placed. The sight in front of him made Reyhan's eyes round as he found three pieces of sugar beams on top of a small plate, already on the side of his tea cup.
He quickly swept his gaze through the entire room. “M-ma??” call Reyhan in doubt.
There is no word from anyone, the atmosphere of the house is so quiet. Reyhan is an only child, currently both parents are away due to work.
“Pa..?” call Reyhan again not giving up.
Since there was no response at all, Reyhan's body started to stiffen. His hair goosebumps with a face that returns to paled. He glanced, looking slowly at the sugar on the table.
“Se-seems like I have to go to minimarket,” murmured then rushed away.
Lisya sighed softly looking at Reyhan who was as if running away from Lisya's existence. Is he afraid of Lisya?
Clara let out a heavy sigh, massaging the base of her nose slowly. The beautiful ghost turned to end the story of his past.
“Has right she was so scared when I mentioned ghosts,” Clara said understandably.
“I don't know how else Clara! Shouldn't he be happy if he knew I was still by his side?” denying Lisya.
Clara again sipped her drink, not delicious at all. Thank you to Lisya. Now that the task will be harder, he will have to think harder to deliver a message that Reyhan does not seem to want to hear.
Clara looked at Lisya with a sneering gaze, how could a ghost who was a former smart schoolgirl like Lisya not understand the situation she was in.
“Do not look at me like that Clara!” namel Lisya. “I know I was wrong, I realized it after several times it happened again,” said Lisya staring at Clara who seemed to be condemning Lisya's actions.
“Lagiii??” clara asked spontaneously.
“Iyaa I know I'm wrong! I just want to communicate with Reyhan, that's it” Lisya is trying to justify her actions. Clara let out a heavy sigh, patting her forehead slowly.
“At that time in the library..”
Clara chose silence, looking at Lisya, watching her recount the events of the previous few months.
Reyhan is in the library, looking for a book to review.
For almost an hour he went around looking for books, but nothing was appropriate. Reyhan sighed slowly. Not desperate, Reyhan returned looking hope that soon he would find it
While searching, Reyhan was distracted by a small yellow book that fell off a shelf a meter away from where he was standing.
Reyhan glanced at the book at a glance, then circulated his gaze seeing if anyone dropped it. However, there was not a single person standing around him.
Re-aware of something Reyhan's body began to stiffen, and froze while staring at the booklet. Did he pick up the book or ignore it? Before long, Reyhan's fear disappeared upon hearing the voices of two men from behind the shelf. It's possible that the book fell because they nudged the shelf, Reyhan thought.
Reyhan ventured to pick up the book and read the title. Reyhan's eyes widened when he saw the criteria of the book in accordance with the book he was looking for. Suddenly Reyhan's fur bristled. He put the book on any shelf, then ran outside the library. No longer care about his duties.
Lisya just let out a heavy sigh looking at Reyhan who was so frightened.
“Stupid basis!” clara's teasing awakens Lisya from her past world.
"What did you say?" lisya asked, not accepting.
"Stupid!" hiss Clara.
"Hey! I'm a top IPA kid if you forget!" sumpul Lisiah.
“Hunted like that who isn't afraid? Are you smart or stupid?” cibir Clara spicy.
Lisya looked down feeling guilty, like a child being scolded by her mother. Clara really cursed Lisya's actions.
“You know Reyhan is so scared but you still haunt him. You're really heartless,” Clara's nag again.
Lisya was stunned as if feeling an arrow piercing her from behind. From the corner of her eyes, Clara glanced at Lisya who was pursing her lips looking at Clara with a sulk. But Lisya sighed softly after that.
“I just realized Rey is really afraid of ghosts after several times I tried to communicate,” honestly Lisya, admit her mistake.
“Moreover his girlfriend has just died, how can he live a quiet life if you continue to haunt him like that,” Clara added heartless.
“Clara... It feels like I want to strangle you now!” lisya Gerram.
