500 Million Men

500 Million Men
Chapters 11. Smile For Another Man

Fahri slowly opened his eyes. The sunlight hit his face. The man looked at Sifa who was no longer beside him.

Fahri got up from the bed. Today is Sunday, where the day is free from office affairs. However, at night the man will still work in the department store.

He comes out of his room, looking for the whereabouts of his wife, but Fahri does not find the whereabouts of Sifa. The man then chose to return to his room, walking towards the bathroom.

Sifa was walking towards her apartment. The woman held a plastic bag, with earphones clipped in her ear, and entered the elevator that drove her to her home.

Sifa just came out of the elevator door, suddenly she got a message notification. Sifa's steps stopped for a moment, she opened the message that was none other than from her former lover.

What are your activities today?

Sifa read the short message. Then immediately type a reply for Aldo's message.

I'll be at home, because my husband today doesn't work in his office, just in the evening for a part-time job.

Sifa chose to lean her back against the wall, waiting for a reply from Aldo. Shortly after, his phone went off. Sifa quickly checked the square.

Yeah, well, then I'll pick you up at the place yesterday. We're going on a date tonight. Don't forget to dress as beautifully as possible.

Sifa smiled as she read the message from Aldo. His face met red, like a teenager who just got a love letter from the man of his dreams. The atmosphere again brought Sifa as if to feel puberty umpteenth time.

Alright. Then I'll call you later.

Sifa gave Aldo the code to stop sending him messages for a moment, because the woman would be busy with her husband later. He put his phone back in his pocket, then continued his steps with a smile.

Fahri was watching television in the living room. His gaze was turned towards the door when he saw his wife had just returned home.

"My husband ...." Sifa hugged her husband from behind. The woman met and looked at her husband in a happy mood.

"Yes, Wife. Is there something good going on until your expression is so happy?" fahri asked, pulling his wife's hand, telling Sifa to sit in the chair next to him.

"really? Do I look so happy?" ask Sifa.

Fahri chimed in with a nod. The man pulled over the haircut that covered his wife's pretty face.

"This morning my mood is good. I don't know, I'm really happy" said the woman with sparkling eyes.

Fahri was so happy to see his wife so happy. Without realizing that the woman he loved was smiling because of another man.

"Oh yeah, I went out to buy breakfast. I bought Mas Fahri's favorite chicken porridge," said Sifa while lifting the plastic in her hand.

"Chicken porridge? My favorite?" tanya Fahri made sure.

"Hmmm, .. didn't Mas Fahri really like chicken porridge?" sifa asked expectantly.

"Ah yes. I like chicken porridge," Fahri told a lie. The man did not like chicken porridge. He hated food that was too soft. Chicken was Aldo's favorite. And Sifa, wrongly bought it for her husband.

However, Fahri can understand it. Maybe his wife will eat his favorite food.

"Yes, you are so I will put it in the bowl first" said Sifa carrying the chicken porridge.

Fahri looked back at the television screen. His mind wondered why his wife had bought chicken porridge after so long she had not bought it. Perhaps, because Sifa wanted to eat chicken porridge until the woman forgot the food that Fahri disliked. That was all that was in Fahri's mind at the moment.

"Mas Fahri watched what movie?" sifa asked while putting a spoonful of chicken porridge in her mouth.

"I forgot the title. But this is very good. All I saw was a woman stranded on an island alone" Fahri said. He grabbed his bowl of porridge, then tried his hardest to eat the porridge. A spoon of chicken porridge that goes into his mouth, a mouthful of water also to push the porridge into his stomach.

"Women? That's right!" chirp Sifa seemed to underestimate the plot of the film.

"What if that woman was you. You were paddling a boat somewhere, then suddenly your boat has damage that requires you to pull over first. You have the equipment to fix your boat, but you see there are other boats that are better to use. Will you still fix the boat that always accompanies you across the ocean, or would you rather row a new boat, abandon your old boat?" ask Fahri.

Sifa chuckles. The woman shook her head at Fahri's question. "Mas Fahri gives one question, but the explanation is almost one chapter" Sifa said.

"Can you give me the answer?" ask Fahri.

Sifa put down her bowl of porridge, then grabbed the drinking water that was on the table. "Mas, if I were the woman that Mas Fahri mentioned earlier, then I would choose to take another boat. Why am I defending my broken boat" Sifa replied.

"That's how?" tanya Fahri made sure.

"Yes, Mas. There's no way I'm gonna have to linger fixing my boat while there are other boats that I can still use and function properly."

Fahri covered his smile. I don't know why there was pain in him when he heard the answer from Sifa.

"What's up, Mom? Why did Mas Fahri's face suddenly change?" ask Sifa wonder.

"It's okay" elak Fahri.

"Yes, then finish the food."

Fahri put the porridge back in his mouth. He tried hard to enjoy the porridge even though Fahri really did not like it.

....

Elsewhere, Arumi and Samuel are in the living room, precisely in Arumi's house. At that time Arumi's mother was not at home, so Arumi freely told her a little secret.

"I've found a future husband for me one day" said the girl steadily.

"His husband? In a day?" samuel asked as if he could not believe it.

"Yes." Yeah." Arumi pulled out her phone, then showed her some photos of the man she took last night.

Samuel scrunched his forehead. He took some of the same photos. Shortly afterwards, Samuel chuckled amusedly, then handed the phone back to its owner.

"That's right! Are you a stalker?" samuel asked who could not help his laughter.

"So, what you say, Sam. I'm not a stalker!" Arumi.

"Obviously you look like a stalker. How not? You even took some pictures that only showed a man's back" Samuel mocked.

Arumi crossed her arms while showing her sour face. He went back to check his phone, and sure enough all the pictures he took secretly last night could only be the back of the man he was following.
