500 Million Men

500 Million Men
Chapters 97. Stop Working

After going through the conversation at the restaurant while filling the stomach, Samuel and Fahri returned to the office. The two are now in the elevator, which takes them to the floor they want to go.

"Are you sure your decision is unanimous?" tanya Fahri made sure.

"I'm very sure. I hope you can take good care of Arumi" Samuel said, patting Fahri on the shoulder.

Fahri bent his lips inward while nodding. "To take care of her is my duty, because I am her husband" Fahri said.

Tingg ...

The elevator is open. Fahri and Samuel walked out of the room and headed to their desks.

"If someday you want to go back to work, please come here. Arumi will openly accept your arrival" Fahri said.

"Yes. Thank you for the offer," said Samuel who then immediately dropped his buttocks on the chair, while Fahri the man went straight into his room.

Arumi who was inside there immediately moved from her seat. The woman asked about Samuel's words to her husband, and hoped that Samuel would not seriously say stop working.

"How, Mas? Samuel's not gonna stop working, is he? He's just playing me, right?" asked Arumi expectantly.

Fahri sighed for a moment. Then bring the wife to sit on the sofa in the room.

"My wife, Samuel has his life, too. We cannot impose our will. It could be, he stopped working because he wanted to focus on finding a mooring of the heart," said Fahri gently, trying to explain and give understanding to the wife.

"Means ... Samuel was serious about what he said? He's really gonna stop working?" ask Arumi to make sure. A stroke of disappointment was already clearly imprinted on his face.

Fahri framed the wife's face, then gently stroked Arumi's jaw. "My wife, let it be if it's her decision. I told him that if one day he needs his job again, I told him to come here" Fahri said. Occasionally his hand rubbed the child's annoying hair around the wife's face.

Hearing the explanation from Fahri, Arumi immediately grabbed the body of her husband's burly body. "I'm sorry, Mom. I shouldn't have acted like this. I was so childish" Arumi said in Fahri's arms.

Fahri rubbed Arumi's long mane, then occasionally inhaled Arumi's scent which had become the candlestick.

"It's okay, honey. It's only natural that you feel lost, because Samuel's been looking after you long enough. From now on, you must entrust it to me, yes ... I can also look after and protect you well" Fahri said.

Arumi nodded, trying to understand Samuel's decision.

At the same time, Samuel was still busy staring at his computer screen. The man really wanted to finish all his tasks and after that went straight out of his workplace.

Not because it was uncomfortable, but there was something else he had to take care of. If that man stays here, Samuel can't be free to do that.

For Samuel, this was an important task. Not only for himself, but also for Arumi. He does not want to be hypocritical, he still has a taste for Arumi. And it was hard to just disappear even though Samuel had tried his best.

...****************...

The next day, Samuel had done all his work. He looked at the letter on his desk. The resignation letter he will give today because his job is well done.

The man sighed for a moment, this was also heavy for him. But, inevitably, he had to do this. There are more important things to do after this.

Samuel got up from his seat, and then he grabbed a letter of resignation lying on his desk.

The man fixed his office suit for a moment, inhaled a deep breath then took it out slowly.

Samuel was ready, and he knocked on the door of his superior. Then turn the door knob. Arumi and Fahri are at their table.

Fahri stood up from his seat, and invited Samuel to sit on the sofa. Arumi moved out of her seat, joining her husband and assistant.

Samuel offered Fahri a letter of resignation. The two couples looked at each other, then then threw their eyes at the assistant.

"That's my letter of resignation. I hope you can accept my decision" Samuel said.

"Why did you make that decision so quickly?" chirps Arumi who immediately gave a question to Samuel.

"I have done all my work well. So, I think it's the right time for me to give up this job" the man said.

"But ...."

Fahri immediately clasped Arumi's hand. Again his wife was carried away by emotions even though it was explained earlier.

Arumi fell silent as her husband clasped his fingers. Fahri tries to hold Arumi back in honor of the decision Samuel has made.

"alright. We will try to understand your decision this time. But remember my words yesterday. If you need a job, just come here, no need to hesitate. You are part of our family" Fahri said very wisely.

"alright. Thank you for accepting my decision" Samuel said.

"Then I say goodbye. For you, Arumi. Take care of your health, take care of yourself, do not make it difficult for your husband" Samuel continued as he moved from his seat.

The two couples also stood up. Arumi nodded slowly with teary eyes. Fahri approached Samuel, giving a hug to the man who had been looking after his wife all this time.

"Thank you, once again I say because you have helped a lot" Fahri said, patting Samuel on the back.

Samuel nodded. Then he looked at the woman whose name was still engraved beautifully in his heart. The woman looked at Samuel with tears in her eyes.

Samuel's hand was about to shake Arumi's hand. The woman also welcomed the assistant's hand. Samuel looked at Arumi, then shook his head.

"You're this old, you're still a crybaby" Samuel chuckled.

The man took off his hand. Fahri immediately embraces Arumi, trying to calm his wife.

"Then I say goodbye. Thank you for letting me work here" Samuel said.

"Let me drive you to the front" Fahri said.

"No need. You'd better calm down your crybaby wife," Samuel refused as he chuckled at the five-year-old Arumi.

"Based on the bad guy!" arumi in between her tears.

Samuel smiled for a moment and then walked out of the room. He walked to his desk, took some of his belongings on the table, and walked out of the building.

Once outside, the man grabbed his phone, then contacted someone, putting the flat object right in his ear.

"Is the car ready?" samuel asked the man across the phone.

"Fetch me now. Today I didn't bring a motorbike" the man continued.

"Mission?" Samuel looked back at the entrance of the company building.

"From tomorrow, we carry out the mission" the man said with a meaningful smile.
