500 Million Men
Chapter 48. Memories Pieces

"Two weeks to come, let's have a wedding" said Fahri.

Arumi was a little surprised by the man's words. He did not expect that Fahri would be willing to marry him for a short period of time to think about it.

"alright. Let's have a wedding party. Prepare yourself and don't let me down at the wedding. Because there will be many important guests there," said Arumi while giving a warning to the man.

"Yes. I get it."

Arumi also continued his steps that had stopped. The girl got into the car, then drove the vehicle into the street.

Fahri stared at Arumi's departure. The car was disappearing from his sight. Asking Arumi to get married soon is not without reason.

Fahri wanted him to get married first. Showing the marriage to his ex-wife. It was as if Fahri was living a happier life than Sifa.

No matter what marriage is without love. Anyway inevitably, Fahri still have to do it. Because it's a debt to Arumi.

Fahri takes his steps to get back into the contract. The man had just passed through the gate, he passed by a middle-aged woman, whom he knew was the next-door rented neighbor.

"What was his girlfriend?" ask the woman.

"No," said Fahri chimed in on the woman's words by commenting on a smile.

"Not a girlfriend but a future wife? Right mom's guess?" ask the woman who tried to guess.

Fahri was silent. He wanted to avoid it, but the woman's speech was true. Will she marry Arumi soon? That's a sign that Arumi will soon be his wife.

"You guys are very suitable. The other is beautiful and the other is handsome. Can not imagine your child must be very beautiful and handsome in appearance," he continued.

The kid? Fahri was looking forward to it a long time ago. He wants the presence of the baby. He had dreamed of it when he was with Sifa. But now the woman is just a piece of memory. And marriage with Arumi, is only limited to mutual benefit. A marriage not based on love.

"Well, how to daydream? Yes, I was, mom was busy gossiping directly in front of her people. Though it was going to the stall," said the woman who then passed from the front Fahri.

Fahri continued his steps. Get into the contract, and lock the door tightly. Because he wanted to enjoy his alone time first. This is the toughest day, officially divorced with a woman who has now become part of the memory.

...****************...

Sifa and her mother are at Aldo's house tonight. They're making a barbeque show at the back of Aldo's house. A small feast welcomed his widow's time as Sifa. It is strongly supported by Kartika, his mother. The middle-aged woman seemed to be released from such a heavy burden when the release of the child from her former daughter-in-law. And now ... Kartika is preparing to welcome his new son-in-law, Aldo.

Aldo was grilling meat together with Sifa. While Kartika, capturing the moment by taking some shots from his phone.

"Mother, you better stop. The flash from the mother's camera was dazzling" Sifa protested.

"Hold it off for a second. Besides, it's a pity if we don't ignore this moment of togetherness" said Kartika who again took some pictures.

"Come on! Pose slightly. Look at the camera while embracing each other" continued Kartika.

Sifa rolled her eyes lazily. His mother went crazy, taking some portraits of himself along with Aldo.

Aldo drew closer to Sifa, then grabbed the woman's slender waist. Receiving that treatment, Sifa was immediately shocked.

"Ayo lihat ke kamera dan tersenyumlah," ucap Aldo.

Sifa obeyed the man. They were busy putting up poses. However, suddenly their sense of smell caught on to the scorching scent. Sifa instantly realized.

Quickly he flipped the meat he roasted using a claw. And sure enough, the meat is really charred.

Just as he was about to go get the meat, suddenly his phone rang. Make the man undo his intention first to raise the call.

Seeing Aldo who was busy talking to someone on the phone, making Sifa take on the task that Aldo wanted to do.

Sifa walked towards the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator, took enough meat for them to roast later.

After successfully retrieving the meat, Sifa went straight back to the backyard to bake the meat.

On the way, his eyes were fixed on a room not far from the backyard. Sifa was curious, she stepped closer to the room.

The room is tightly closed, and on the padlock while wrapped in chains on the door hook.

"What room is this?" muttered Sifa who was getting closer. The woman tried to peek at the room from the door.

Sifa thought that the room was dark. Turns out he was wrong. The room was still given lights even though it was only dimly lit. Sifa narrowed her eyes even more, she wanted to see what was inside there.

"What are you doing there?"

The sound of a man's heavy voice made him very surprised. Sifa turned to look at Aldo who was standing behind her.

"What meda?" aldo repeated his question.

"That's okay. I just felt a little curious about what was inside this room," explained Sifa. He spoke with a stammering seidkit. However, Sifa's attitude was wrong. He was too presumptuous because he peeked without asking permission first to the lover.

"The contents inside are just a few unused second-hand items" Aldo explained.

"Do you not believe my words?" aldo gave a probing look at Sifa.

"I believe," Sifa said as she commented on her smile.

"Yes already. Then, let's get out of here," the woman continued walking away carrying the meat to be roasted.

Aldo nodded. The man followed Sifa's steps from behind. Sometimes he looked around, looking at the room.

Upon arrival there, Kartika was putting the meat that was not worth eating into a plastic bag to be thrown away, because the meat was already charred.

He saw Sifa and Aldo coming together. Sifa who was carrying meat to roast. "Duh, we've become very troublesome, Son Aldo." Kartika feels bad.

"It's okay, Mom. Besides, I'm very happy with your existence, making this house not feel lonely" said Aldo.

"Son Aldo lives alone here?" ask Kartika.

Aldo nodded his head. "Yes. My parents are no more" Aldo said.

Kartika looked at Aldo with a look of pity. Sifa walked towards the roasting. Then then give the seasoning to the meat, then re-roast the meat.

He looked at Aldo who was talking to his mother. Then he turned his gaze to the dimly lit room he had seen earlier.

"Why was he so angry when I saw the room?" inner Sifa.
