"You think the office is your playground, huh?!" exclaim the man who is around 35 years old.
Fahri. He saw the man who was currently approaching himself staring at him nyalang.
"I-I'm sorry, sir." Fahri bowed, the man did not dare to look at his superiors eyes.
"If you don't want to work anymore, you better stop! Or do you want to get kicked out of this company?" ask the man.
"I beg you, sir. Don't fire me" Fahri said.
The man also threw the files he held roughly, until the files scattered.
"I'm actually fed up with facing you" said the man, frowning.
"I'll forgive you this time too. I hope this event does not happen again in the future. And so does the rest of the staff!" continued the man loudly while staring at some of the employees in the room.
"Take the file and you re-input it. I saw some mistakes. The data you type is not valid. Better fix it and you check back carefully, BE CAREFUL!!" discuss Fahri's superior with an emphasis-filled tone.
"Good, Sir. I will revise it back very carefully," said Fahri bowed.
The boss did not speak Fahri. He walked out of the room, walking into his room.
Fahri immediately crouched down to pick up all the scattered files. Everyone in that place looked at Fahri with pity. No one dared to help the man. If they do that, then they will be affected as well.
Fahri had worked at the place long enough. However, the man never received good treatment. Always looked down upon by his superior .
Fahri gathered the files, stacking them together. Working here is like dropping his pride. However, he can do nothing, because Fahri is not living alone but he has his responsibility, namely Sifa.
For Sifa's sake, Fahri threw his selfishness away. For the sake of the woman, Fahri was also willing to drop his pride to meet the needs of the wife.
Can another man in Fahri's position? Is there a man who is as patient as Fahri? The answer is one in a thousand.
....
Fahri just finished the files he had to fix earlier. The man tidied up the file and stacked it into a single unit to be given directly to his superior room.
He moved from his seat. Walk towards the room of the superior to give the task he has completed.
GEISHN ... GEISHN ...
The man knocked on the door, after getting approval from inside, a voice telling the prianit to enter, Fahri immediately entered the room.
"This ... file that you asked for," said Fahri while presenting the file.
The man took it from Fahri's hand. "Well, I'll check it out later" he said.
"Now you can get out!" tell the boss after receiving the document.
Fahri lowered his head for a moment, then walked out of the room.
"Fahri, let's have lunch!" bring one of your room co-workers with him.
"I'm not hungry" Fahri lied. The man developed his smile.
"You're really stingy, Fahri."
Fahri only responded by commenting on a smile. Then it passed from before the coworker who spoke to him earlier.
The man brought his cup of coffee to the desk. He chose to finish his work, busying himself so that his hunger could be distracted.
Just now he was staring at his computer screen, suddenly his phone rang. Fahri reached into his pocket, then saw the screen of the square object, which was listed as 'Mother-in-Law' was calling him.
Fahri immediately received the call. "Assalamualaikum, ma'am."
"Fahri, can you pick up mom at the station? I'm so lazy to find a cab to get to your place."
Fahri glanced at the clock in his hand. Lunch break hours are not enough if used to pick up her in-laws.
"Sorry, Mom. Fahri can't pick up mom. The problem is the break time...."
"It's ... already .. Just tell me if you don't want to pick up mom. Many reasons you! Got one daughter-in-law, but not reliable at all!"
Phone connection disconnected. Fahri breathed. The man was always wrong in his eyes. Even when Fahri said his greetings, his in-laws did not return the greetings from Fahri.
The man put his phone back on the table. He regretted his coffee, trying to remove the burden of thought for his in-laws' words.
....
Time has shown at six in the afternoon. Fahri has finished all his work. He looked around, many of whom had gone home first.
Fahri sent a report he made in the form of a file through his supervisor's email. After that, he turned off the computer, and cleaned up his desk. Stacking multiple documents he had input into one.
Falky walked out of the office. However, upon arrival he was outside the building, suddenly the rain fell very rapidly, making the man had to be forced to wait until the rain subsided.
Every now and then Fahri raised his hand, feeling the rain that soaked the palm of his hand. The man smiled. Rain can destroy it. The heat from the emotion that had always been a burden on the mind, now seemed to evaporate.
It's raining pretty hard, men don't have cars like everyone else to go home. Let alone a car, a two-wheeled vehicle he did not have. In hindsight, the salary he earned could have been credited with a motor unit, but because the wife's expenditure was always excessive, making them always live in shortcomings.
The rain began to subside, leaving only a small speck that was not too wet. The man chose to walk to his house. While staring around the city which began to be illuminated by the lights are so beautiful.
Fahri down the streets are quite lengthened, because the rain has just subsided and some people choose to ride their vehicles or public transportation that can take them home.
Upon arrival at a road crossing, Fahri saw a couple who were joking. The woman was two-bodied while rubbing her stomach, while the man looked at his wife with love, while sweeping his way.
In Fahri's heart there was the envy of seeing the couple. A young couple who can smile while walking together. As for him, a mature man who was as strong as possible made his wife a queen.
However, his struggle so far seemed invisible. It was like giving up, but Fahri remembered all the sweet memories they had created. Although now, the love of the wife is a little bland, but the love Fahri for his wife is still just as sweet.
