Artland Series: MINORITY TALENT

Artland Series: MINORITY TALENT
Magic Words Athena's

"I can never understand your way of thinking" Ardian Kusuma told Athena.

Athena responded in silence. His pair of careful eyes were busy watching the figure of a shoulder-haired man in the courtyard beside the MINORITY CENTER building. The place where Paravisi used to park his motorcycle.

Ardian Kusuma followed his direction. Through the glass window, from the 12th floor, they looked at the Last Dusk standing limp as it leaned its back against an acacia tree. Although far away, it is quite clear that the man is trying to think hard. His hands were crossed in front of his chest. So silent.

"We have to act fast" Athena said suddenly.

Ardian Kusuma turned his attention away from Dusk then observed Athena full of question marks.

Athena pointed her face right in front of Ardian Kusuma's face then explained, "We've nurtured one false talent."

Ardian Kusuma was stunned for a moment then closed his eyes fixedly then exhaled heavily. And start thinking hard. Soon he looked back at Athena. At least tell me who it is, Inner Ardian is sharp. He knew Athena could catch him.

Athena finally sighed then stepped closer to Ardian. He touched the man's shoulder and closed his eyes. And try to concentrate.

But both of them were startled by the sound of the footsteps of someone running down the corridor. Ardian turned his body back, and found Luciana running away on his back.

Luciana had originally intended to approach the two Paravisions to report that Esther was dead. But he saw a scene that he thought would be better if he didn't see it.

"The girl had misunderstood me" Athena told Ardian.

Again the man breathed. Then walked quickly after Luciana.

Athena smiled faintly, shook her head slowly, then turned her attention back to the side yard.

The Last Dusk was still standing at its original spot with its face bowed even deeper.

The shadow of anxiety that had been drawn on Dusk's face while carrying his body, instantly flashed across Athena's head. He saw it just before it all turned dark and he lost consciousness. He dared to make sure the power of Dusk had crossed his usual limit. The man's gaze no longer depicted the devotion of a Paravisi. But it more accurately describes the view of a man. Athena didn't want to believe it, but she also had no evidence to deny it.

Suddenly Athena felt someone touch her shoulder gently. He turned his attention from the window and looked. Then stammer.

The last twilight, knowingly already stood beside him.

Athena checked the yard and found the acacia tree trunk empty. Since when did he leave the parking lot? Athena observed the figure beside her once again.

His confused attitude makes Dusk almost unable to hold back laughter. The man clenched his mouth holding a smile. Then cover it with his fist.

It was the first time Athena showed a woman's natural expression. Athena had trained herself for years to be able to form a stable expression that could disguise her emotions.

Athena observed Dusk with her eyebrows interlocked. As soon as she realized the man was laughing at her, Athena punched him in the shoulder with a look of annoyance.

Dusk responded with a whimper.

Athena snorted as she glared. Then put on a pouty look.

Dusk could see the change in Athena's cheeks that suddenly met red when the woman threw away her face. He cleared his throat, and began a serious conversation. "Sometimes something happens whether you believe it or not" said Dusk mimicking Athena's style of speech.

Athena was silent.

"Time always has an answer to every question!" Dusk added. Still using the words Athena.

The woman's face finally softened. But still dare not look at Dusk. He froze for a moment to digest the words of Dusk. He remembered two years ago, those words were once his words for Dusk. But he could not remember how those words became an influence on him.

Athena was still in her place. With a heavy heart, Athena finally admitted one thing in her heart, "the power of love defeats everything!" After that, he walked away from the window and followed Ardian Kusuma.

The man was just staring at Esther's doorstep. It seems Luciana has welcomed him with a less pleasing attitude.

Athena patted the man and entered Esther's room.

Welcomed Luciana's bumbling gaze.

Athena developed her usual thin smile and watched Esther from the side of her bed.

Ika and Luciana got out of Esther's bed, making room for Athena.

Soon Ika rushed out of the room, followed by Luciana who was then caught by Ardian Kusuma.

The girl was forced to stop at the door, but did not want to raise her face.

Ardian smiled faintly. But didn't say a word. Sometimes he wished everyone could understand the expression of his silence.

Athena glanced at the two through the corner of her eyes.

And Ardian Kusuma realized it. Then the man gently pulled Luciana's hand away from Esther's room.

Esther was still frozen in confusion watching the drama.

Athena approached the girl and looked at her again for a while. Carefully, the woman finally sat on the edge of Esther's bed. "How are you doing, Sweetheart?" He asks.

Esther stared doubtfully for a moment before finally hugging Athena and starting to sob. She had just returned after disappearing for a week. Although she had not known Athena for long, Esther felt a considerable loss as long as Athens did not exist. Where have you been, captain? Esther asked in her heart. Now she knew Athena always heard her voice.

"Heart is the most honest voice, Sweetheart!" Athena says. "Follow the wish!"

Whether it had something to do with it or not, Athena's words made Esther even more convinced her premonition was not wrong. He understood now that Athena had always believed him even though everyone knew he was a fraud. He began to understand why the memories of his last day working at the Coffee Shop always haunted him. Because on that day he had just stopped being a fraud but everyone had already lost faith in him. Nobody believes him anymore. Except Athena. The owner of the Coffee Shop had heard the case and did not want to give him a chance. Luciana was right, he said in his heart. That night Athena came to pick me up. Saved me!

"It's ok, Sweetheart!" Magic Word, typical Athena.

The girl was calm now. I've been pretty sure I can answer this question, he said inwardly, "if you were given the chance to choose, who is the Paravisi you hope to be your Guardian?"

The answer is Athena!

Athena smiled as she gently stroked the girl's hair.

After years of living on the run, Esther finally finds the right place to go home. This was the first time he felt accepted in his entire life.

At the age of 9, a plane crash claimed the lives of his parents. And from that moment on he felt himself thrown around because nobody wanted him. Once adopted, his adoptive parents only used him as a house-stair helper. Esther thought of escaping from there, but was always caught again. The more often caught, his thinning talent actually became more and more powerful. And in the end become the main capital as well as his lifestyle.

Athena had just come out of Esther Mary's room when she found Ardian Kusuma staring at Luciana's door. Athena shook her head while smiling. The Ardian Kusuma he knew had never been this fragile. However, he could not deny it, the fragile point of each individual is actually the peak of perfection of the individual itself.

Perfection is a fragile point!

"Grace is a curse" he told Ardian Kusuma without turning his head again.
