Artland Series: MINORITY TALENT
First Mission

Last Dusk parked his motorcycle in the grounds of Deasy Dengrukur Reading Park. Following Agung Tirtayasa behind him. Dusk glanced cursively at the man as he stepped down from his motorcycle. Soon the two entered the Reading Garden and joined Athena in the reading room number 3.

"Why do you like the number 3 so much?" Dusk asked half insinuatingly.

Agung Tirta, or Agung Tirtayasa, only smiled faintly in response. The number 3 is the access code of the Committee.

"Minor's daughter was kidnapped last night." Athena told her two colleagues.

Agung Tirta sighed and leaned his shoulders on the bookshelf. He put both his hands into his jacket pocket and looked at Athena without saying a word.

Dusk took a sitting position on Athena's side on a velvet sofa and linked his palms in front of his chin with both elbows folded over his thighs.

"Ary Caroline said, The kidnapper knows access to Minor's house and wears a Paravisi uniform." Athena continued.

Both colleagues are still confused to see the explanation of Athena.

Paravisi uniforms in the city of Artland are a kind of division council service uniforms such as military personnel who are officially shaded by government bodies that are not sold freely to civilians.

"We must collect all the Assets for Casey Minor's search mission" Athena proposed.

"What about the city police?" Grand Tirta asked. "This is clearly a case. I don't think there's any harm in reporting this matter to the authorities!"

"It's too risky" Athena commented. "At the same time Jet One wants Minor's daughter as his asset."

Hearing this, the two colleagues turned their eyes to look at Athena.

In the Paravisi Committee, Jet One is the highest title like Major General in the Military Division.

"Jet One knows Minor's daughter well?" Dusk can't believe it.

"Did Mathew Minor know that?" Grand Tirta asked.

"Mathew Minor just finished sending Casey's data as his Recommendation Talent the day they moved into his great-grandfather's house." Athena explained. "But the Board of Commissioners rejected his recommendation because they had a blood relationship. Jet One offers help to pass Casey Minor as Jet One's Recommended Talent."

"Then?" Agung Tirta was curious.

"The news was broadcast simultaneously on all networks the night Casey was kidnapped" Athena said bitterly.

Dusk and Agung Tirta groaned at the same time.

Everyone already knows Jet One won't offer policy assistance to a Talent unless he or she has a history of achievement. If Casey Minor is interested, it means that Casey Minor has a high enough value.

But despite it all, does Jet One know Casey Minor? That's the question of the twilight. And Athena's statement has not answered her question. "What talent does Casey Minor have?" Dusk is dissatisfied.

"Medically, Casey Minor was diagnosed with a neurological disorder in the brain that allows the girl to be too sensitive to light and vibration, so she is able to capture light and vibrations under low frequencies." Athena.

"So, does Jet One know Casey Minor or not?" Dusk finally asked frankly.

Athena just shrugged her shoulders.

And Dusk interprets it as an expression between not knowing or not knowing.

"My assets are unreliable for this Mission," said Agung Tirta as he turned his shoulders toward the cashier's desk.

"The Sleeping Princess is a key witness to every event" Athena argued.

Agung Tirta frowned. Is that why Athena proposed Deasy as her Talent of Recommendation? He asked in his heart.

"Yes" replied Athena, staring intently at the Great Tirta.

Making Agung Tirta swallow.

Dusk grinned mocking Agung Tirta.

"How about Ryan Gunawan's Recommended Whiny Talent?" Grand Tirta suddenly asked. "Until now I'm still curious about his talent" he said.

Dusk and Athena looked at him with clutched eyebrows.

"Alright, he's in the archery club. Yeah, he's been quite helpful." Agung Tirta reasoned. "But about the special talents that are at the core of the program..."

"It's not the core of the MT program, Boss!" Athena interrupted.

Dusk chuckled to hear Athena link the nickname Boss to Great Tirta. Athena linked the nickname to insinuate her size which was only chest-high. Boss stands for: Bosom Size which means the size of a woman's chest.

"Special talent is a small habit that has a big influence." Athena. "Aware or not, the whiny nature is a natural reaction to the situation. The crybaby can become unstable when he feels uncomfortable. Her emotional state informed the situation," spewed Athena at length. "Do you understand?"

"All right, I get it!" Agung Tirta raised both his hands on the sides of his shoulders in a surrender manner.

"There's still a question?" Athena asked half-challenged.

"What's your dream guy like?" Dusk asked.

"Oh, shut up!" Athena grunts.

While Dusk only smirked in satisfaction to find a red hue on Athena's cheeks.

"Contact all Assets and Paravisions!" Athena commanded.

Then he moved from the reading room.

"I'll be back for lunch!" Agung Tirta whispered to Deasy who was snoring at the cashier table. Then he kissed her head and passed after Athena and Last Dusk.

Before long the three had arrived in front of an open Coffee Shop nuanced Garden Party named East Theater. Welcomed the music show Black Buraqh consists of 4 long-haired men in their 30s who joined the archery club at Minority Academy. With Ika Apriani as singer take turns with Luciana Adam. Their stage is located in the middle of a concept park without a roof.

Athena clapped her hands as Ika finished one song.

Making the Owner of the Coffee Shop suddenly turned his head and lunged towards Athena with a face sparkling with pleasure. "I Miss you...." The girl embraced Athena spoiledly.

"Oh, you've been 25 years now, Esther!" Athena patted the girl's forehead while smiling knots. "Stop acting like a 17-year-old girl!"

Last and Great Dusk Tirta smiled faintly looking at the girl behind Athena.

"Where's Monica Debora?" Ester joking.

Making Athena develop a big smile while shaking her head.

"Captain..." Luciana thrusts at them and snatches Athena's embrace from Esther. Then Ika was behind him. The two girls were twitching spoiled on Athena's shoulder.

"Hey! She's the captain, not your mother" Esther protested to her two friends.

"She's not your mother either" Ika replied in a tweet.

Athena rubbed her two heads full of affection.

Meanwhile Agung Tirta and Dusk Last have joined Ardian Kusuma and Gilang Wibisana at a table the largest in the Coffee Shop.

Soon four similarly tall, bartender-clad young men approached their table and served him a joke. The four young men are Jonathan Van Allent, Reyhan Ibrahim, Adam Martinez and Ethan Hernandez.

"You guys look good in new uniforms" Gilang Wibisana commented to them.

"Your compliments won't bring you free drinks, sir!" Adam Martinez grinned towards Gilang Wibisana.

Soon Dion Markus and Martin Hernandez had gathered near their desks. "What if I say you're handsome?" Martin Hernandez interrupted and looked at Adam Martinez and Ethan Hernandez in turn.

"That compliment won't change your good looks, sir!" Ethan Hernandez chimed in while holding Martin Hernandez.

"Oh," Dion Mark bought it. "You don't have to act like a sissy to show that you have a special spiritual connection!" He commented.

Adam Martinez chuckles while embracing his Asset Father, fighting over Ethan Hernandez.

"My best...." Dion Markus grinned towards Reyhan Ibrahim. "Do you miss me?"

It was Reyhan Ibrahim's turn to buy it back. "We don't have to be a sissy just to show that we have a special spiritual connection" he said, straddling him in his place.

Dion Markus chuckled. "Well," he said, pulling a bench on Ardian Kusuma's side and throwing his body on it. "Do you guys have anything intoxicating?" He asked as he moved both his index and middle fingers hinting at the quotation marks when he mentioned the word: intoxicating.

The four bartenders grinned at Dion Mark before the four of them left their table.

"Where are the others?" Athena asked when she had joined the largest special table in the middle of the Coffee Shop.

The largest table is designed specifically for their meetings.

"Ryan and Valentine are on their way. But Evan and Elijah haven't heard of it!" Gilang Wibisana explained.

Heard Evan's name mentioned. A female visitor silently turned her head towards them.

Making Athena reflex stare intently at that visitor.

The female visitor turned her face away from Athena's gaze. Then downcast pretending to be busy stirring his drink.

"Call Evan now!" Athena orders him to remove the cell phone from his jacket pocket and try to contact Elijah. Ardian Kusuma called Evan Jeremiah.

The female visitor at the next table instantly held her breath as the mobile phone inside her jacket pocket shook.

"Oh, shit!" Athena growls. Making the whole table look at him. "Catch that girl!" He pointed his index finger at the visitor at the table next to him.

The girl was stunned and jumped off her stool and ran off her desk.

In the next instant, suddenly Last Dusk was already standing in the way of the girl at the door.

Making the whole Coffee Shop scream in horror. Even his Paravis. Except Athena. Athena knew it before the others. The woman was no longer surprised.

Reyhan Ibrahim also smiled knowing their reaction. He remembered his own feelings when he first witnessed the ability of Dusk.
