Artland Series: MINORITY TALENT
S.B.S

Dusk and Athena exchanged a glance. Then the two observed Evan who was still busy looking at the ceiling. A moment later, Dusk glanced back at Athena who looked overwhelmed to face Evan. But when she glanced back at him, Dusk turned his attention to the floor under his feet. Making Athena bow down wrong.

Realizing the sudden silence, Evan then watched the two silently. But he could not hide his smile.

Making both of his colleagues automatically glare at him.

Evan responded to the two with a grin. "All right!" Evan is giving up. "Let me be clear." Evan cleared his throat and fixed his sitting position. "Jessifer Illucy used to be my lover." Evan confessed.

"It used to?" Dusk and Athena were glared at the same time.

"yeah. She used to be a normal woman." Evan widened his eyes.

Making his two colleagues increasingly look clueless.

"He's mutated into a soulless creature. Don't you know?" Evan added.

"Yes, I know about that." Athena interrupted. "I just don't understand why you're saying it like the girl's dead?"

"What's the difference?" Evan.

Athena twirled her eyeballs with a look of annoyance.

"What do you mean different from Elijah? That so?" Dusk scoffs.

Evan glared towards the Dusk.

Replied with an annoying Dusk laugh.

"Don't worry," Evan lowered his tone. "He's not going to kill Paravisi!"

Athena and Dusk exchanged a look. I don't understand Evan's mind.

Evan sighed heavily and closed his eyes fixedly. From the look on her face, Athena could guess her heart suddenly sorely remembering Elijah.

And that obviously made Athena start a dilemma. He has trouble deciding whether they should go find Elijah or Casey Minor. "It seems I was forced to make two missions at once at a time," he murmured listlessly.

"Or maybe three!" Evan added.

Athena frowned at Evan's statement.

"Jessifer Illucy was sent on a mass murder mission!" Evan looked towards Dusk and Athena.

His two comrades gulped, then were dumbfounded together.

They were absolutely right, Evan thought as he watched his two colleagues.

Soon Athena was thinking hard. He knew the main goal of the TMP project was to score special talents. And they have managed to create the world's deadliest killing machine thanks to a special gene that Paravisi possesses. Athena realized. "They wanted Paravisi" he muttered.

"That's precisely!" Evan Jeremiah added in a flat tone.

Then without warning, his two comrades moved from their respective places and hurried to leave the Committee Room.

"Hey!" Evan protested. "I'm also a Paravisi. Did you guys forget?"

"Well, yeah!" Athena groans. "And you're Romeo too. Did you forget?"

"Well..." Evan chuckles. Then move from his place. "Ok," said he. "I'll look for him again!" He decided.

When they had arrived outside, Ardian Kusuma, Agung Tirta, and the five other Paravisi had just arrived at the parking lot of Deasy Dengrung Reading Garden.

Evan only greeted them at a glance then hurriedly left all his comrades behind.

"Good!" Valentine grunts.

"We need to move fast!" Athena says.

"Well, yeah..." Ardian Kusuma. "The last time you said it, I lost my girlfriend!"

All of his Para visionaries chuckled in response.

Then everyone turned on their vehicles and passed from Deasy's place.

Deasy Grunting raised his head and looked around and grumbled. He glimpsed the wall clock above the exit in front of him then checked his cell phone.

Agung Tirta sent him a message through the Messaging Agent app: "Take care of yourself. That's your mission!"

Deasy smiled faintly and moved from her seat lazily. Then stretch his body for a bit. After that, he began to inspect the entire room and tidied it up. Prepare to close the Reading Garden. It was not until ten minutes that his drowsiness reappeared. Makes him really upset. Can't you wait until my job is done? Deasy scolded herself. Shortly after, his body was squeezed and slumped in front of the entrance.

A moment later the girl heard footsteps approaching the door and opened it. I want him to say, "we're closed!" But he couldn't even open his eyelids.

"Are you ok?"

Deasy heard a confused man. Well, yeah. He said in his heart. I'm doing fine. But we're closed!

The newly entered man ducked down on Deasy's body then examined her. "Yes, God..." The man groaned. "Sleeping Beauty Syndrome!"

How do you know I have SBS? Deasy wonders.

Before long the man sighed Deasy's body from the floor and held her up. Then lay it down on a sofa in one of the reading rooms. "Listen," he said after the man cleared his throat. "I'll help you close your shop after this. I promise!" The man continued. "But before that, I want you to remember this well. 1999. 1111. 1983. 9001."

Wait up! Deasy wants to interrupt. But his mouth cannot be moved. Who is this guy really?

After saying that, the man moved away from the place and heard the sound of his footsteps moving away. Then paced in front of the cashier table, turning off the lights inside the store one by one. Shortly thereafter, the shop door was locked.

Oh, shits! Deasy's heart was pounding. The man locked the door from the inside. Deasy tried to rebel from her drowsiness, but her chest felt increasingly tight. The harder he rebelled the deeper his drowsiness shackled. The next second the entire room became quiet. Where did the man who locked the shop go?

"Look..."

Deasy heard the voice of someone calling out to her among the roaring sounds of rain. But he didn't know whose voice was calling him. The sound was like just a breeze hitting the glass window outside his shop. So far. And it sounds like it's coming from all directions.

"Look..." The voice came back.

Who are you? Deasy wondered in her heart. But his eyes felt heavier. I hate SBS, her mind is bitter. Somebody help!

"Deasy, open the door!"

Deasy squealed and was aghast.

"Deasy are you inside?" The sound at the front door grew louder.

Deasy blinked her eyes and looked around. I wasn't dreaming, he thought. Someone did move him into the reading room and lock the door. He shuddered and jumped off the couch. Then it rushed towards the door and opened it in a hurry. Where's the key? Where's the key? The question seemed to just swirl around in his head and would not come out of his mouth. Where the man put the key.

"Deary! Are you ok?!" Someone outside the store sounded panicked.

Yeah, he said in his heart. I just freaked out like you. After he managed to find the key, he immediately rushed into the arms of someone waiting for him at the door.

"It's ok, Sweetheart!" The woman in front of the shop rubbed her back.

Deasy shed her tears in the woman's arms without checking who she was holding. All he knew was that she was Athena. The woman's clothes and hair felt soaked on her body. But Deasy doesn't care. He was scared to death. The arrival of the woman alone was enough to help him wake up. And that was more than enough, he said. But as soon as Deasy finished with her cries, she lifted her head from the woman's arms and screamed.

There's nobody out there!
