CHAPTER 103 | Yang Zi caught

Four days ago in the city of Peaches, Yang Zi and Li Yan were gathering together with the commander of the army after hearing that some of the Lato water ships had sailed towards the city of Stars and also the city of Peaches.

“We must prepare an army of arrows by using fire along the riverbank and hide waiting for the ships of the Lato people who come.” Yang Zi said to Li Yan and the commander of their troops.

“True, we should attack them suddenly and then leave after attacking. Use attacks from three directions simultaneously towards their ships,” Li Yan continued while describing their strategy on the prepared map.

Yang Zi and Li Yan gave their pointers to the commanders of the troops in the city of Persik. They had also told him the same thing to do by Wang Mei's troops in the Star city and the area along the river.

“How about reinforcements?” yang Zi asked Li Yan.

“Both Dang Gui's students and also the three Hong Jun disciples have already turned around to help us defend this Peaches city.” Li Yan said giving a report to Yang Zi. “General Yan Shu and Diao Shi continue their journey to the city of Langsang.”

Hearing that, Yang Zi felt relieved. He thought the water troops of the Lato nation were more dangerous than their land forces. So in order to destroy their ships, Yang Zi felt a desperate need for powerful help like the disciples of the martial elders to help them defend the city from the opponent's attack.

Peach City was one of the cities that was as vital to the Western Desert kingdom as the Star city. River ports in both cities are very crowded visited by merchant ships from various parts of the world that drove from the sea to the port cities on the river.

The Long River as the name implies does indeed empties into the ocean, while the upstream is located in the northern mountains which are the territory of the Northern Snow kingdom. The Long River passes through the three coastal kingdoms of the South Sea, the Western Desert Kingdom and the kingdom of North Saljut.

But the big cities in the riverside region almost all rely on income from inter-city trade and even between islands from the ocean.

After giving instructions to his commanders, Yang Zi then went across the river with some troops and was about to go to the city of Langsang to meet Baihu to inform him of some of the information.

Yang Zi was unaware since his departure from the city of Persik, the Lato scout group had sent the news to the Prince who was at the Lato camp in the middle of the dense forest.

Prince La Yuan smiled reading the news sent by their scouts and prepared to greet the guests who were about to cross into the forest territory.

A few hours later the Lato army in hiding saw six plain-clothed villagers crossing the river in rafts.

The Prince of La Yuan had ordered his troops to capture the people crossing the river even though they were villagers from across the river.

Yang Zi's face turned pale as he and his troops disguised as villagers crossed the river suddenly surrounded by dozens of Lato troops after landing across the river.

The Yang Zi army that was about to fight waited for orders from Yang Zi, but Yang Zi shook his head ordering that his troops not attack recklessly.

The Lato army then took Yang Zi with its undercover troops to their camp in the middle of the forest. The Lato troops then placed them in confinement with other villagers who had been captured earlier.

Yang Zi looked around the Lato camp from behind the bars of the cage. “It's good we don't fight so we can find their camp site,” whispered to the modestly dressed troops.

There were dozens of people in the confinement, most of whom were villagers who used to cross the city of Peaches into the South Sea kingdom. Prince La Yuan did not look at the feather, he caught whoever crossed the river.

When Yang Zi was captured, inadvertently the scouts of the Western Desert kingdom army of the city of Langsang saw the incident from where they were hiding. They then returned to the city of Langsang to report it to the commander of their troops.

After obtaining enough information, Yin Fang then reported the information he obtained directly to Baihu. Baihu furrowed her brows listening to the information conveyed to her.

“So Yang Zi really had been captured by the Lato nation army two days ago?” tanya Baihu made sure of that.

“Really His Majesty. They have brought Yang Zi with their troops and locked them in a fairly large cage.” Yin Fang said

Baihu then stood up and walked up to Yin Fang slowly. “Then what about Yan Shu and the others?”

Yin Fang paid his respects to Baihu. “Your Majesty, we have been looking all the way to the capital. We did not find any of them, as if they had vanished into the earth. But we still continue to search for their whereabouts,” Yin Fang said later.

“Good. I will go free Yang Zi and his army. You immediately investigate and find traces of Yan Shu with other friends.

“Good Your Majesty.”

Yin Fang then saluted then left the meeting hall to order his subordinates to search for information and also find the whereabouts of Yan Shu along with the others.

In the evening, Baihu called the tiger Sunu with his whistle. Hearing a whistle from Baihu, Sunu immediately came to him. Baihu smiled seeing her friend come in a relaxed pace.

“Sunu, We will go to the forest of your favorite place.” Baihu said.

Tiger Sunu nodded his head and rubbed his head and body spoiledly on Baihu's body. Seeing Sunu's spoiled attitude, Baihu smiled as he stroked Sunu's tiger head.

Baihu climbed the back of the tiger Sunu then went to the middle of the forest mentioned by Yin Fang to free Yang Zi with his troops.

At the edge of the forest, Baihu stopped Sunu's steps and went down her back. Baihu then ordered Sunu to leave her at that place. After the tiger Sunu went missing in the silence of that cold night, Baihu felt the footsteps of the few people who came to him.

“Who are you?”

The Lato army spoke a language that Baihu did not understand. When he heard the words of one of his disciples, Baihu who pretended to be a villager smiled in his heart. He deliberately gave no resistance before seeing Yang Zi's condition with his troops.

Baihu deliberately got herself caught by them, because she wanted to know how the situation at the Lato camp was.
