CHAPTER 50 | Wang family gathering

The next day Baihu had first come to the port and waited for Wang Mei's arrival. His heart became anxious thinking about what he should do next.

Baihu looked towards the river that reflected the golden morning sunlight. What a beautiful sight.

By noon, Baihu was still standing there waiting for Wang Mei's arrival patiently.

Meanwhile at the Wang family residence, Wang Mei had yet to decide what she should do. He was still sitting inside the Wang family garden behind the residence.

Suddenly a servant came to him in a hurry.

“Nona, sir is calling you to meet the guest who came” said the waiter while saluting Wang Mei.

Wang Mei was stunned at the servant's words, she had no idea who had come to meet him. Then he went to follow the maid to the Wang family's living room.

Looks like a group of people brought some gift boxes for Wang Mei. “What is this?” wang Mei muttered in her heart looking at the row of gifts that the troupe had brought. “Teacher Wang!” suddenly Zhang Ji shouted to himself.

“Zhang Ji?” Wang Mei was surprised when she saw Zhang Ji his student who had come to bring the gifts.

“Teacher, brother asked me to deliver this engagement gift to you” Zhang Ji said while saluting him.

Wang Mei's face turned red looking at the many gifts that the entourage had brought and Zhang Ji personally ushered in for her. He looked at his two parents who were sitting there with anxious faces. Of course they did not dare to refuse or accept the gift from the Crown Prince to his son Wang Mei.

Wang Mei sighed not knowing what to say.

“Teacher, my sister also said she will come visit you in two days” Zhang Ji said back.

Hearing that, Wang Mei did not know what she should answer. He was still shocked to see the number of gifts Zhang Mou had sent for him.

Seeing that his Master Wang Mei was still shocked, Zhang Ji felt proud of his brother. Then he immediately said goodbye to Master Wang Mei and the Wang family to return to the Crown Prince's residence.

Looks like some people are walking into the Wang family living room. The one walking the very front was Wang Lin, the younger cousin of Wang Huo Wang Mei's father.

“Kakak, how are you?” w.a.n.g Lin shouted as he entered the Wang family living room with a sweet smile.

“What did you mean by coming here Wang Lin,” Wang Mei's father murmured in his heart as he stared intently at Wang Lin.

Wang Lin walked arrogantly to the center of the living room and turned his head towards Wang Mei his niece who was seen sitting on the living room bench with a grim face.

“Wah, why does our empress-to-be look moody sister. What has happened?” he was infatuated with his older cousin Wang Huo

Wang Huo's face looked annoyed at Wang Lin's demeanor but he didn't want to cloud the atmosphere from seeing Wang Mei's sad-looking face.

Wang Mei did not care about the arrival of her uncle Wang Lin, she was still fixated on looking at the pile of gifts from Zhang Mou.”How to return these things? How to reject her proposal without offending her?” that thought filled Wang Mei's head.

Suddenly heard yet another shout from outside the living room,”Mrs Wang Shui from Gold city has arrived”

“Ah..” This time Wang Huo's head became even more dizzy after hearing his aunt coming over.

Wang Shui was the youngest brother of his father Wang Huo so included Wang Mei's grandmother. He lived in the Golden city with the other Wang extended family. Golden City was Wang Huo's hometown. He married his wife and settled in the town of Peaches with his own family.

An old-looking woman but the age gap was not far away with Wang Huo walking into the living room with his tall face looking at his surroundings.

“Aibi!” greet Wang Huo and his wife while standing respectfully.

“Aunt Shui” greeting Wang Lin saluted when he saw Wang Shui's arrival

This time Wang Mei did not dare to heed the arrival of her grandmother Wang Shui, she stood up while greeting her respectfully,”Grandmother Shui” said.

Wang Shui looked at Wang Mei and smiled, “His granddaughter is all grown up. Naturally the Crown Prince wanted her to become a wife. My granddaughter is indeed very beautiful” said Wang Shui while smiling at Wang Mei

Wang Mei's face turned red because of it, she didn't expect that Wang's extended family had learned the news of the Crown Prince's proposal so quickly.

“Wang Huo, let's talk in the family room” Wang Shui asked Wang Huo

Wang Huo then invited his aunt Wang Shui and also his cousin Wang Lin to go to the living room with his wife and children Wang Mei and Wang Bao.

In the living room Wang Shui was sitting on the main seat that was usually occupied by Wang Huo, but because his aunt was more senior and was the envoy of the Wang big family from the Golden city, the, so in this meeting, it was aunt Wang Shui who sat down and led the family meeting.

Wang Mei was seen bowing her head because she knew she was the one who would be the topic of conversation in the family meeting this time.

While the Wang family held a meeting at their residence, Baihu was still waiting for Wang Mei's arrival even though it had already started to dusk. As he was waiting in the corner of the harbor, he saw a group of people loading goods into a sailing ship in the river.

It appeared that the company was raising a very large cage and was covered by cloth on the ship. Baihu narrowed his eyes as he looked from the gap of the cage cloth that was opened due to the wind it looked like several women in it.

“That ship raised women in confinement? Do they sell women?” baihu muttered stunned upon seeing that.

Baihu's curiosity made her sneak onto the yacht as the group left after delivering the items.
