CHAPTER 48 | Applicable by Crown Prince

After making sure there were no two women in the room, Baihu then went to ask the innkeeper and they had not seen the two women since last night. They suggested that Baihu wait for them.

Baihu then went from the inn to investigate Yang Zi and Xin Ye's whereabouts as well as planning to look for informations about the sale of precious and rare items in Peach city.

At the Wang family residence, it appeared that Wang Mei's parents were sitting on one of the benches in the back garden of the house and were contemplating something when Wang Mei came to see them.

“Dad, Mother. L came. What's calling me back?” wang Mei asked them

The faces of Wang Mei's father and mother smiled seeing Wang Mei's arrival. “Sit down first baby” said her mother Wang last May then she turned to her husband to start after seeing Wang Mei sitting on their front bench.

“Untusan from the Western Desert Kingdom came to propose to you. Crown Prince Zhang Mou wants to make you his empress candidate” continued Wang Mei's father.

Wang Mei's face was shocked to hear the words of her father, “Then... What's dad's answer?” ask her nervously. She did not expect Zhang Mou to want her to become a wife. Wang Mei lowered her head, her mind drifting thinking about the proposal.

Wang Mei had never once thought about Zhang Mou, he had only met him a few times, and that was even during the inter-sect martial arts match 6 years ago.

“Daddy has not given an answer, then that father asked you about this” said Wang Mei's father.

Wang Mei felt her body go limp, for some reason Baihu's face appeared in her mind. “What should I do?” insinuations

Refusing the proposal of the royal family, would certainly affect his family. Wang Mei felt like her head was about to break thinking about this.

Both of Wang Mei's parents understood her son's thoughts by looking from Wang Mei's lethargic face after hearing the news.

Wang Mei nodded her head, she understood very well what would happen if she rejected the proposal. Not only his family business will be affected, even the safety of the family is also threatened by his refusal.

Baihu who was passing in front of the Wang family residence, saw Wang Mei who was running towards the harbor with a dark face. She immediately chased after Wang Mei because she felt that something had happened to her.

“Sister Wang, what has happened?” ask Baihu who was worried about him.

Hearing Baihu's words, Wang Mei lowered her head, then she suddenly turned around and hugged Baihu's body while burying her head in Baihu's chest. Looks of tears dripping from both eyes,”Baihu, lend your chest for a while for me” he whispered softly.

Baihu was surprised by Wang Mei's sudden action of hugging him. He doesn't know what to do. His face turned red and he felt clumsy. He just stood stiffly motionless, whereas his mind was raging not knowing what had happened to Wang Mei.

Time seemed to stop for a while, Wang Mei then raised her face and wiped her tears. “Thank you Baihu” muttered slowly

“What has happened sister?” tanya Baihu returned

Wang Mei's face looked grim, “Zhang Mou, Crown Prince of the Western Desert Kingdom proposed to me”.

Like being struck by lightning, Baihu was shocked to hear the name of the Western Desert Kingdom. His face turned ugly after hearing that. His grudge towards the Western Desert kingdom that had destroyed the small kingdom and his family was loomed in his mind.

Now if Wang Mei becomes part of the Western Desert kingdom, make it impossible to involve Wang Mei in her revenge.

“Then, what's your sister's answer?” baihu asked him worriedly.

“Honestly my heart rejects this proposal. However, my decision will have repercussions for the Wang family. I don't know what decision to make Wang Mei said, who then looked at Baihu's face with a look of despair.

Baihu's face was stunned hearing that. Although she was still considered a child, yet she understood the intent of Wang Mei if she refused the royal request. His body trembled, he clenched both his hands. Baihu's face looked cold thinking of her grudge towards the Western Desert kingdom.

“Kakak, you should not accept that proposal” Baihu sahut quietly in a flat tone.

Wang Mei looked at Baihu's face that had turned dark and felt Baihu's body tremble with anger. “Why?” ask Wang Mei to him.

Baihu was speechless hearing Wang Mei's question. He felt guilty saying that. He was nothing to Wang Mei. And it would be very selfish if he asked Wang Mei to reject the proposal for her sake.

Baihu sighed, he walked towards the edge of the harbor and looked towards the river. Wang Mei walked over to him still waiting for an answer from Baihu.

“Sister Wang, think well of your decision. Tomorrow I'll be waiting for you here. If big brother comes, I will tell you.” Baihu said with eyes still staring towards the river.

Wang Mei did not understand Baihu's intentions, yet she did not want to urge that. He was silent as his eyes stared at the river. “Alright, I will think about that decision tonight.” said Wang Mei who then left Baihu who was still standing there.

Baihu turned her back and saw Wang Mei's departure, “Kakak, whatever your decision. I'll support you.” her inner.

In her heart, Baihu did not want Wang Mei to accept the proposal, but she did not want to be selfish and sacrifice the Wang family for her own sake.
