Best Son-in-law
Let Me Just

"Sonya, you're okay, right?" Chandra's face started to look pale due to the blood that kept flowing from both of his legs however, a smile of relief from seeing Sonya who was still fine adorned his lips.

"Sandra! What the hell happened to you?" Sonya wanted to run and hug Chandra but her movements seemed to be held back by something.

Seeing something strange, Chandra returned to alert. He was even prepared for the worst possible event, "If you dare to hurt my wife just a little bit I will make sure you regret being born."

"Hahahaha .. You are indeed smart sir. But baby, you can't breathe any more air tomorrow!" The man who threw a knife at her came out of hiding behind Sonya's body. With a triumphant face, the man's left arm rested the tip of his knife on Sonya's waist and his right arm wrapped around Sonya's neck tightly.

Chandra's face stiffened, because the man was actually making his threat. "What exactly do you want? I don't know any of you, so I don't think we have any business."

"It doesn't matter if you know me or not, sir. I want your beautiful wife. So, before I hurt him you better just give up," Sonya's face paled as she tightened her arm against Sonya's neck.

"Take him off!" Chandra growls holding back the anger however, who knows if in fact he is devising a strategy to save Sonya.

With unexpected speed, though, Chandra threw the knife that had stuck in his leg at the man and made Sonya widen her eyes and then as fast as lightning she also closed her eyes tightly in shock and fear.

After a while, Sonya did not feel any pain or pain in her body. He then opened his eyes slowly when he noticed a groan of pain, followed by the release of a clasp on his beautiful neck.

"Run, Sonya!" Chandra half-screamed because he was afraid that the group of men were still not far from their place.

After the man collapsed, Sonya ran then hit Chandra and hugged him tightly. Her crying broke instantly.

"Calm down, the man may now be dead," Chandra returned Sonya's embrace and gently rubbed the woman's back while glancing at the man's left eye that was spitting out a lot of fresh blood.

Chandra had no intention of killing the man but, he had no other choice. The man has put his wife's life at risk.

"Did he die?" Sonya asked in a position still hugging him tightly.

"I .. don't know. I hope he can be saved." Chandra prayed in his heart that he could still be saved, because he did not want to be a murderer.

"I'm so scared of Chandra, why did you leave so long ago?"

"I'm sorry Sonya, I really didn't think things would turn out this way. I've even put your life at risk."

"Oh, it's all happened. Now we better find a safer place and treat your wounds." Although Sonya's voice sounded more resolute, but Chandra clearly still caught the fear within the woman.

"We have to find another hiding place, because I don't want to take any chances. I was still strong enough to walk a few meters forward," Chandra let go of her embrace.

They walked back down the tea garden that looked endless. After a while, they finally found a small hut located in the middle of the tea garden that looked very quiet.

Sonya helps Chandra to sit down and starts to open the bag that Chandra was carrying from the car.

"Looks like that little bag was so precious to you huh?" Chandra looked at Sonya closely.

"Yes, this little bag contains important things for me. Do you know what? I never leave this bag anywhere I go." Sonya then took out the contents and made Chandra wrinkle her forehead.

"Is that your bag?"

"More let me do the work. The wound on my right leg was a gunshot wound, fortunately the bullet didn't seem to stick too deep because I could still feel the back of my leg," Chandra stared around like he was looking for something.

"You've been shot?" Sonya looked at Chandra in shock, as the man before her looked very calm as if it was a common and frequent thing for her to experience.

However, instead of answering Sonya's question he asked Sonya to do something, "You know taro leaves? About two meters to the left of where we have a big taro tree. Can you get me some of the sticks, please?"

"Daun talas? I ... I don't know. Sorry .... " Sonya answered Chandra's question in a soft voice.

Chandra scratched his non-itchy temple. For a moment he forgot, if his wife had never known many medicinal plants. Then, he patiently tugged at Sonya's shoulder and pointed to where the woman should be heading.

"Be careful Sonya, do not let you get exposed to too much sap because it can cause itching. Please get me the biggest trunk."

Sonya nodded and then walked away leaving Chandra alone. After the departure of his wife, Chandra began cleaning small folding knives, scissors, and also small tongs made of iron with alcohol liquid that Sonya had removed from the bag.

Finished sterilizing the device, he began making small incisions over his wound to make it easier to remove the bullets lodged in his leg. The incision was made so that he was more free to find the whereabouts of bullets. Shortly after, he found it and immediately picked up a small brace to remove the bullet.

In accordance with his dugan, the bullet did not stick too deep. It is easier to remove. The pain in his legs is now a little bit more, but at least his condition is better.

Sonya put down some fairly large taro leaf stems while looking at Chandra with a face full of horror.

"You .. Doesn't hurt? You're making the wound bigger."

"No, I just made a little incision to make it easier to find the whereabouts of the bullet. Look, I got the bullet out" Chandra pointed to a small bullet next to the clamp.

As Sonya was busy staring at the bullet, Chandra sliced through the stems of taro leaves. He then applied as much of his sap as possible over the wound, on both of his legs. Taro leaves may have been often considered as a disruptive plant because of the sap that makes it itchy.

But in addition to making itching, taro leaf sap is also useful for healing wounds.

"Why do you use taro leaf sap? I have wound medicine you can use it," Sonya was then busy picking up a cotton swab and pouring over her wound medicine.

"No need Sonya, this is enough. For first aid taro leaf sap is much better for now. I can't stitch my wounds, so I'm wearing this."

Taro leaves for some people are considered just a plant bully because of its sap that can cause itching.

But actually taro leaf sap is very useful for healing wounds. Taro leaf stem sap turns out to contain flavonoid compounds that are antibacterial.

In addition, the stems of taro leaves also contain anti-inflammatory in other words anti-inflammatory. So that it can suppress pain due to injury.

The stems of taro leaves also contain tannins. This tannin serves as an adstringent that makes the skin pores shrink so as to minimize bleeding.
