Breathless
Chapter 11: The Imprisoned Soul
Emu squirmed slowly on the bed where she fell asleep. His eyes shriveled feeling something different on the bed he was sleeping on. Emu can smell the sweet aroma mixed with the smell of rusty iron makes his nose not too comfortable to just breathe the available oxygen. In the same instant his eyes slowly opened little by little. The young girl blinked several times trying to adjust the light that entered her pupils and clarify her vision.
He looked left and right trying to remember where he was. A very strange sight was presented before his eyes. A room that looks like an unused warehouse, there are 3 large windows covered with black mosquito nets covering the scenery outside. The lighting of the room was only supported by a sleep lamp that was installed in a hurry beside the bed. In addition there are many long iron bars covered with white mosquito nets scattered in several corners of the room that have answered Emu's question why the room smells of rusty iron. The presence of other objects that seemed forced into the room successfully made Emu wonder, in addition to the bed he slept on and the table and the sleeping lights that were beside his bed there was a long sofa in dark green.
"What is this place?" Emu Guman then glued to see the clothes he was wearing. He wore clothes that were worn by patients in the hospital where he worked.
"Eh? If I was wearing this outfit, I should have been" Emu thought hard and suddenly she recalled the incident when she intended to end her life.
"I survived?! But, where am I now?" his mumbling squeezed the clothes he was wearing and tried to remember more, forcing his brain to spit out the contents in his memory.
"Guhiro-san!" Emu suddenly remembered that the last face printed in his memory was that of the genius surgeon. Emu still felt the warmth of Hiiro's body while hugging her in the hospital. If his brain hadn't misremembered, shouldn't he be in the hospital right now?
Still in a daze Emu got out of his bed and tried to stand for a while. But his body was still helpless, his energy seemed to have been drained away right then and there. Emu drowned instantly and fell to her knees near the sofa. His head still felt a great pain. He is now leaning near the sofa and trying to regulate his breathing that is starting to irregular.
A moment later came the sound of footsteps approaching the room where Emu was. The young doctor put up his ears well, he could hear the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. Emu was sure that the sound of footsteps did not belong to one person. The sound of footsteps came to a halt temporarily as the owner of the footsteps had a conversation in front of the room.
The deg! Emu's heart pumps her blood quickly making an irregular sound of a beating. Emu's eyes shook, cold sweat just coming out of his trembling body. That voice! Emu recognized the voice of the man who was speaking outside this room. It's not wrong anymore he's definitely
"Oh, baby! You all right?" Date opened the door with a restless face in a hurry to approach Emu who was sitting leaning on the sofa helplessly.
It was seen that Emu's face had turned into a great fear seeing the owner of the voice. A voice that is always ringing in his ears at all times. The voice is always present and becomes his nightmare. It took a while for Emu to realize that Date had taken her to a very foreign place. Emu retreated in a hurry as Date approached her until she was cornered on the wall between the sofa and the table. Date touches Emu's chin, intending to kiss her lover's peach's lips. But with the rest of his strength Emu pushed him, making Date a little upset and began to raise his hand like he was about to slap the young doctor's face. Emu immediately closed her eyes and crossed her hands right on her face trying to form a defense from the blow that Date was about to throw at her. But moments later he felt no pain over his skin that was touched violently by Date's hand as usual. Emu opened her eyes peeking hesitantly wanting to know what really happened. Date's big hand stopped right at Emu's skinny hand who was putting up a weak fortress of protection. Emu looked at Date dumbfounded. Date's face looked hardened trying to hold his hand so as not to slap the cheek of the woman he loved.
"Da-date-san?" Emu stared at Date not believing what Date was doing. It wasn't usual for Date to hold his punch just like that.
Date's face flushed even more frustratingly, a second later his hand was pointed at the wall that was right behind Emu. Date hit him hard and injured his own hand. A red trace was clearly visible on the back of his hand. Date screamed loudly while looking at Emu who looked increasingly curled up in fear. It takes time to master his emotions. Date's eyes that were glinting furiously suddenly softened. Date tried to set his breath back to normal. His hand tried to grab Emu's body and hold her but Emu looked even more panicked when Date's hand touched her. Regardless of the panic of her heart, Date hugged her tightly and warmly.
"I'm sorry, baby!" The short sentence successfully made Emu even more confused. What does Date want? Is this a new game that Date wants to play with him? Was it for Date, Emu was just a puppet that could be treated at will? Not having feelings, so easily the strapping man gave sweet words that could turn into lecherous sentences full of humiliation to him at other times.
Emu just fell silent, she was tired of all this. He wanted to get out of the shackles of the demon that was ensnaring him now. Emu tried to let go of Date's embrace but her power was not strong enough to make Date release her hand from Emu's slender body.
"Date-san is! Please let me go! Stop playing games with me! I just want to go home!" emu's rebellious moans were futile in Date's decapitation.
"We'll be home soon, baby!"
" I promise! Wait a minute, after we get married we'll go home together!"
Emu's eyes widened, his heart skipped a beat, his entire body trembled violently.
Be married? Shit! Date must be kidding!
Not finished the surprise that Emu received at that time, the door of the room was pounded slowly by someone.
"Yes, come in!" Reply to Date origin without letting go of his embrace towards Emu.
"Young master, Master and Big Madam have arrived! They're waiting for you downstairs!" Said a big tall man to Date.
Date smiled childishly at the man and nodded with vigor. The big man pleaded and closed the door of the room where Date and Emu were.
"They're here, baby!" date is excited.
Emu had no idea why Date had become so excited and enthusiastic when she heard someone coming for her, but a second later Emu understood and made her feel a bad premonition.
"Let me introduce you to my Dad and my mom!" Date smiled as he looked at the heart of the Puja who was trying to digest the sentence that had just spoken from the mouth of Date.

"Poppyy! Niko!" Tiaga and Kiriya shouted frantically looking at Poppy da Nico who was tied up on the sofa. Hiiro, Kuroto, Pallad and Shinosuke who were walking some distance away from the two of them then ran when they heard the two doctors shouting. They were surprised to see the two doctors removing the rope that bound the two young women.
"Goto-san! Izumi-san!" it was Shinosuke's turn to shout when he saw the two policemen guarding the room where Emu was being treated lying unconscious on the floor. Shinosuke then carried the two fainted policemen to the other sofa assisted by Pallad and Kuroto.
Seeing the chaos in the room, Hiiro turned his back to the bed where Emu had fallen asleep.
"Me-they're carrying Emu!" Poppy with panic.
"I'm sorry! We can't stop them!" Nico squeezes Taiga's hand regretting not being able to do anything when Emu is taken away from the room. Taiga stroked Nico's head trying to calm him down.
"Say! Who took Emu away, Poppy!? Say it!" Hiiro who seemed to be losing his mind approached Poppy and grabbed both shoulders and began to ask impatiently.
"Ak-u don't know!" poppy's squeaking voice was not heard clearly. He looked at Hiiro in fear.
"THERE'S NO WAY YOU DON'T KNOW!" hiiro's shrill voice made everyone flinch at the anger Hiiro showed.
Kiriya impatiently removed Hiiro's grip from Poppy and pulled the surgeon away from Poppy. Kuroto approached Poppy and hugged her to calm Poppy who started crying in fear when Hiiro snapped suddenly.
"HIROO! CONTROL YOURSELF!" Kuroto snapped in annoyance seeing Hiiro carelessly snapping at Poppy. Instantly the atmosphere of the room became tense and hot. Anger, panic and fear mixed into one making the air in the room feel heavy for all of them.
Hiiro was silent for a moment, his footing felt weak to see Emu disappear in a state of body that was still recovering. Didn't he promise to protect her? Why would he let this happen? Shit! He shouldn't have let Poppy and Nico take care of Emu himself. Hiiro dropped to the floor and looked down full of regret.
"I'm sorry Poppy! I shouldn't have yelled at you!" hiiro said softly without being able to look at Poppy who looked still trembling.
All sighing heavily, they did not believe today to be a very chaotic and terrible day. First there was a bomb explosion that made many people panic and injured many people. Both of them had the Emu kidnapping in front of their noses without them noticing. They believe these two events are related to each other.
There was a small groaning sound issued by the two unconscious policemen earlier. They all turned their attention to the two policemen who were slowly opening their eyes and coming to their senses.
"Goto-san! Izumi-san! How are you guys feeling?" Shinosuke approached them. Kiriya brought two glasses of water to them and helped them to drink the water.
"Tomari-san! Houjou-sensei! They're taking him!" said Goto panicked when he remembered the incident before they were unconscious. He tried to get up from his seat but he suddenly felt a strange pain in his head. Shinosuke helps Goto to sit back and calm him down.
"Silence, Goto-san! Just slow down!" Shinosuke said as he patted Goto's shoulder gently to calm him down
It took a few minutes for the two of them to recover their strength due to the injections performed by the three unknown men. After that they began to tell in detail the incident when Emu was kidnapped by three unknown men a few minutes after the bomb exploded in front of the Hospital. How they were beaten and paralyzed with some sort of anesthetic injection that left them powerless to protect Emu. The faces of the two policemen now look saddened. Regrets were clearly imprinted on their faces. They feel they failed to do a mission that looks easy at first and do not expect them to even fail easily.
"I'm sure this is what FUCKING DATE did!" Said Kiriya sure with a very angry face.
"Who else is after Emu other than **** that!" kiriya clenched her hands furiously.
"What should we do now?! We need to find Emu immediately! I don't want anything bad to happen to her anymore!" pallad was worried.
Shinosuke got up from his seat and stepped towards the exit.
"You should now head to the CR room and make plans for an Emu search! There's something important I'm going to do now! Later we will meet at CR soon" said Shinosuke while confirming the location of his tie.
"Gato-san! Izumi-san! You better get some rest. I'll ask the captain's permission for you!" shinosuke.
"One more thing! Don't act recklessly before I come!" shinosuke then stared intently at the five men from CR and then disappeared from the room in a hurry.
Hiiro, Kiriya, Kuroto, Pallad and Taiga glanced at each other. They don't have much choice. They will continue to follow their plan. Search without involving the police. They would not let such a dangerous human roam around again. If Date is left alive, he won't stop interfering with Emu's life. They don't want the sweet girl they love to live with terror and fear forever. There is no other way! They must kill Date immediately, however he may be and at any cost.
