Chapter 16: Out of Control
Date stared at Hiiro like a lion about to pounce on its prey. The hatred for that genius doctor had grown rapidly in his heart. Every look at Hiiro's face was always reminiscent of when the young doctor touched the lips peach the lover of the heart by force trying to seize the love he had. It was indeed a moment that triggered the demon inside him to appear violently. Then now! They met again in conditions that were not much different. Hiiro wants Emu and tries to snatch her out of Date's hands, not a wise choice for Hiiro. The genius doctor involuntarily re-fished the monster who had been sleeping quietly back to his war zone.
Hiiro, not much different from Date. He stared warily at the large tall man. Date still pointed the muzzle of his firearm at Hiiro making the genius surgeon think again to attack Date with just anyone. Their different height makes Hiiro not want to make rash decisions. Of course he knew that Date's abilities were far above his, but he had to come up with the right strategy if he wanted to defeat him. Hiiro's eyes traced every part of Date's body. Was there a weak spot he could use to drop it? Hiiro realized if the two of them did not fight, he could not possibly see the big man's weak spot.
"I want a fair fight! So we're not using any weapon!" Date then dropped his weapon and the magazine containing his spare bullets. After releasing his weapon he raised his hand and spun around indicating no weapon was attached to his body.
"Your turn!" Add Date as he rolls both arms of his shirt up to his elbow and crosses his arms waiting for a reaction from Hiiro.
"As you wish!" Hiiro started dropping the weapons he was carrying one by one while still staring at Date who looked at Hiiro no less intensely. The three weapons that Hiiro had brought were placed on the ground along with the spare bullets he had brought. Hiiro stood straight opposite Date. The two of them then put up different horses indicating that they both have different styles of fighting.
Date lowered his footstool. The legs are wide parallel to his shoulders with his left foot in front, his hands slightly clenched parallel to his eyes. While Hiiro's body position is almost the same as Date but the position of his legs looks wider and positions his body lower than Date. His own hands opened parallel to his chest. The two of them moved slowly alertly with the movements of each other.
Hiiro attacks first, Hiiro's body is shorter than Date gives a slight advantage to reach the bottom of Date's body. With the back of his hand Hiiro tried to attack the abdomen of Date. But Date read very well Hiiro's movements and then lowered his hand and fended off Hiiro's hand movements with his hand. Date countered Hiiro's attack by directing his attack towards the genius doctor's face. Not to be outdone, Hiiropun fended it off quickly.
A second later the fight became more intense. Not only does it involve hand movements, but kicks are several times floated by both parties. Hiiro was knocked to the ground several times when he was hit by a crushing attack by Date. The face had been adorned by several wounds from the attack carried out by Date. It was undeniable that the battle skill possessed by Date was better than Hiiro. But Hiiro did not give up, although in reality Date is stronger but Hiiro movement is more agile than Date. Several times Date was hit by a sudden attack launched by Hiiro quickly, even miraculously, when Hiiro did a spinning kick he could hit Date's face and make the corner of Date's lips hurt.
"Oh! It turns out that young master Kagami cannot be underestimated either!" Said Date while touching the corner of his lips that were injured by Hiiro's kick.
"Well, then I won't mess around anymore! Let's finish this fight and prove who's the best!" Said Date grinning with glittering eyes staring at Hiiro.
On the other hand Fujita who was standing not far from Date pointed his gun at Kiriya, Pallad and Shotaru prevented the three of them from interrupting the ongoing fight between Date and Hiiro.
"Move a step you're dead!" Said Fujita trying to lock the movement of the three people in front of him who had just finished beating his remaining men.
Fujita looked at Shotaru who looked uneasy when faced with him. The big tall man recognized Shotaru's face then smiled with a sinister grin.
"Well, it turns out we have a traitor here!"
"Or may I say spy, am I really Shotaru-kun?" Fujita cried cynically accompanied by the wary gazes of Shotaru, Kiriya and Pallad.
"Try I thought what punishment is appropriate for a traitor?!" Fujita said while playing a folding knife in his left hand while his right hand was still pointing his firearm towards the three men in front of him.
"Ah, of course! Only one punishment is worth it!" Fujita stopped his hand playing with the knife and stared at Shotaru sharply.
"Death sentence!"
Shotaru gulped in tension. His identity has been revealed and he is worried about the consequences he will face. Moreover, Dai knows Fujita never mess with his words.
Shit! I'm in big trouble!

Shinosuke and Chase carry Gou's body in haste. The two of them followed Hiiro's words to keep Gou away from the fight area. Gou growled withstanding the pain, dizzy head from the gunshot wound he suffered.
"Taiga! Kuroto!" Shinosuke called Taiga and Kuroto as soon as he exited the building area.
Taiga and Kuroto who were still on guard and were combing the area to make sure it was safe were immediately shocked to see the state of Gou being carried by Shinosuke and Chase. Taiga and Kuroto ran towards the three of them in a panic.
"What's going on?!" Taiga asked approaching the three men. His eyes immediately fell on Gou's arm with a trail of blood flowing.
Shinosuke and Chase sit Gou on the ground. Taiga swiftly tore off Gou's sleeves and saw an unusual gunshot wound. Taiga then took his belt and tied Gou's arm to stop the bleeding that was still occurring.
"What kind of shooting wound is this? Was he shot several times?" Taiga said while still tying Gou's arm aided by Kuroto.
"No! Just one shot! But the bullets used are different than the ones we have Taiga! This bullet when fired will make the projectile explode into several parts" explained Chase who does understand very well if the weapon owned by Date is one of the most dangerous firearms, especially the bullets used.
"We have to get the bullet out! I'm afraid there's a complication in his wound!" Taiga said to commemorate Shinosuke.
Shinosuke and Chase look at each other. True what Taiga said! If Gou is left like this they worry if things get worse.
"Shinosuke! How's Gou doing?!" Suddenly, Shoutaru's voice was heard from Shinosuke's communication device.
"He must be operated on immediately!" Shinosuke said in a voice trembling with worry, what should he say to Kiriko later if his wife knew the state of his youngest sister.
"We can't call an ambulance! Too long! It took 1 hour more than the nearest hospital to get to our current location!" Shinosuke is getting more frustrated.
"Use the warehouse where we gathered earlier" Shotaru's remark made Shinosuke confused.
"In the warehouse there is a special room for emergency medical measures. The equipment is quite complete, you can use it!" Shinosuke's face sparkled Shotaru's words like a fresh oasis in the middle of the desert. Giving a glimmer of hope to save Gou.
"All right! Thank you, we'll be there soon! Take good care of yourself! Beware of Date and his remaining bodyguards!" Shinosuke said warning Shotaru, however he was also worried about his other comrades who were still in the fighting area.
"Don't worry about us! Go quickly!" Shotaru replied and then turned off his communication device.
"You've heard Shotaru, haven't you?! We're going back to the warehouse, we're going to do an operation there!" Shinosuke exclaimed accompanied by a nod of the other three men. But suddenly Kuroto opened his mouth and spoke seriously.
"You better go to the warehouse. I'll be on guard for a while here. I'm just worried that all of a sudden Date has reinforcements from his father. I'm sure this attack has reached the ears of that jerk!" Kuroto insists on convincing his other friends.
Shinosuke flinched, right Kuroto said. This incident must have reached Takeshi, the leader and father of Date. It's even possible that Date's father has contacted the police and asked them to subdue them. Shinosuke learns that Date's father has taken control of Seito's police force with his money and influence. It was inevitable that their current position would become extremely risky. They had to settle this all immediately before the other party did anything to endanger them all.
"Alright Kuroto! We're counting on you! If something happens, don't face it yourself. Understood?!" Said Shinosuke still feeling worried, especially Kuroto himself standing guard outside.
"I understand! Just chill! I'm not that stupid anyway! If the situation is out of control, I'll ask for help!" Kuroto said with certainty.
"Just you! Don't die silly here! I don't want to see Emu cry if you die here" Taiga said giving a faint smile to Kuroto.
Kuroto chuckled then nodded his head slowly. The three adult men left while carefully addressing Gou. Lucky distance from Date's warehouse and their secret warehouse is not too far away. At least they can handle Gou's situation right away rather than having to call an ambulance and wait a long time.
"Hold Gou! Another bit! " Bisik Chase is slowly trying to give more motivation to Gou who looks weak. Gou replied with a slow nod.

After walking for a few minutes they finally arrived at their hiding place. Shinosuke hastily opened the door of the warehouse violently. As soon as the door opened Taiaga and Chase immediately brought Gou inside. They sat Gou in a chair where they discussed their plans beforehand.
"Where is the medical room?! " Taiga said while checking Gou's condition again.
"Wait on! We'll see it first! " Sinosuke then asks Chase to help him find the medical room that Shotaru is referring to.
They searched the medical room. The warehouse was not too big but there were indeed some rooms inside there moreover the warehouse was two-story. Shinosuke and Chase split up in search of a medical room to find her faster. It didn't take long, Chase shouted from the second floor and told Taiga and Shinosuke if he had found his medical room.
Taiga and Shinosuke immediately took Gou to the second floor to take immediate medical action. Taiga and Shinosuke arrive in a room whose door is called Emergency Room, and they immediately lay Gou down on the operating table. Taiga was relieved to see the room. True said Shotaru, it turns out this room has complete medical equipment.
"Have you ever been trained in medical knowledge? " Task Taiga to Shinosuke and Chase.
They both nodded, every police detective and agent was always equipped with knowledge of medicine. They are prepared to deal with every precarious situation including this kind of situation. Gunshot and knife wounds and their handling are the basis of the knowledge they have because events like this will always happen if they are on a mission.
"All right! Please prepare the infusion and dope. I'll do the Anesthesia procedure to Gou as soon as possible before starting the operation! Just check if this room has a Blood Bank Refrigerator for a place to store blood bags, maybe there is still a blood bag left. We need him!" Obviously Taiga was busy preparing the equipment for the operation.
"Do you know Gou's blood type, Shinosuke?" Taiga paused his activities and turned to Shinosuke who was busy dismantling the medicine storage rack.
"All right! Just follow my instructions and prepare what I ask. I'll prepare the other equipment!" Taiga began to remove the vest used by Gou and then paired the infusion brought by Chase.
"Hm, Taiga! Looks like we have a problem!" A little while later Shinosuke with a pale face approached Taiga who had finished preparing the equipment for the surgical procedure.
"We found a blood supply even if it was just two bags, but—" Shinosuke said agitatedly as he massaged his temple in frustration.
"We can't find dope on the drug supply rack!" Chase continued Shinosuke's stalled sentence.
"Shit!" Umpat Taiga clenched his hands and hit the wall beside him.
Taiga thought for a moment and turned his gaze toward the operating table where Gou lay.
"Gou, how much is your tolerance for pain?" Taiga's question made Gou feel that something bad was going to happen.
"Ehm, w-whatever! All-whatever. Why are you asking that question?" Said Gou stammered, his breath was stung because he tried to maintain his consciousness from earlier.
"Maybe it's gonna hurt a little bit! But I'll do a little surgery without doing anesthesia!" Taiga said firmly.
The three men in the room immediately rounded their eyes in surprise.
Oh, Taiga are you kidding?

The thunderous sound of explosions made the young doctor's heart hunt down quickly. Fear was clearly imprinted on his father's face. His mind was very chaotic, too many things that made him speculate. What exactly is going on? Was the explosion the result of his friends? Emu shook his head quickly, his face radiating doubt.
No way! Is it impossible if his friends did it? There was no way they could hurt someone else just to bring him back home. There was no way they would do anything against the law. No way! But really?
Emu squeezed her hand trying to think more calmly. He doubted that his friends would do too much for him. After all he did not want his friends to get hurt especially Hiiro. Ah, Hiiro! I don't know why Emu almost forgot for a moment about Hiiro. The man she once loved at once who broke her heart. Emu began to think for a moment, for a moment he realized something. Date and Hiiro have one thing in common. They were both men who had been in his heart as well as men who had hurt him. So ironic.
Emu let out a long sigh, trying to clear her mind that had been thinking about various things so as not to give her time to calm down. But a second later suddenly his eyes were rounded. Somehow he was still thinking about the cause of the fire and one more thing that might make sense in his mind.
Maybe it was the police.
Yeah maybe they. Emu tried to convince her heart. But if they are the police force for what they attacked this place with an explosion? Isn't it just by pointing a gun that they've definitely managed to subdue Date? But if they catch Date, won't Date go to jail?
Emu bit her lower lip. He realized that the actions of Date that have endangered many people must be accounted for. However there was a tickling feeling in his heart, as if he was not willing if Date was far away from him.
"Oh God! What exactly happened to me!?" Emu cried while beating his head many times.
Date has hurt him physically and mentally but now he's worried about the man? It seemed like his head had been hit hard during the incident that made him ignore Date's treatment of her. And the funny thing again somehow in an instant the feeling he had once felt first reappeared.
"Himu-chan! Daijoubu?" Reiko's voice broke Emu's daydream in an instant.
Reiko appeared with a face of dismay from behind the door accompanied by the two bodyguards who were always assigned to guard the room where Emu was, Mihara and Kusaka.
Emu looked relieved when she saw Reiko coming. Ungainly Emu ran a little towards Reiko and hugged her tightly like a little boy who missed his mother. Reiko returned Emu's soft hug and patted the young girl's back trying to calm her down. Reiko tries to give you a soothing smile, she doesn't want to make Emu more agitated if she looks panicked.
"Reiko-san's chat. What the hell is going on out there?" Emu asked as she slowly let go of her hug but then held Reiko's hands together.
"I don't know for sure either, Emu-chan! Merely, it seemed like there was an attack that was still unknown who the mastermind was!" Obviously Reiko made Emu paled in fear .
Reiko guided Emu back to the sofa. Mihara and Kusaka then went around the room making sure nothing was suspicious. When they peered out of the window, they could see the flames that were starting to tame the impact of the explosion. Mihara hurriedly closed the black window carefully so as not to attract Reiko and Emu.
"Hagino-sama, this room is still safe. Nothing suspicious. We ask permission to watch from the door of this room." Said Kusaka giving his report to Reiko who was sitting with Emu.
Reiko nodded her head giving her approval. A second later Mihara and Kusaka bowed their bodies and pleaded. The two of them came out of the room and guarded it from outside. Their eyes looked around vigilantly. They didn't want anything to happen with the two women their young master loved the most. They still love their lives. There was no way they would take the risk to waste it.
After the two bodyguards trust Date left Reiko and Emu in the room just the two of them. The middle-aged woman looked at Emu intently. It was obvious from the attitude and facial expression he showed if he was agitated and in a state of disarray. Emu did not stop moving her right leg and bit her thumb nail. His eyes also seemed unfocused and anxious.
"Emu-chan?" Reiko called Emu softly but there was no answer, as if Emu's soul was not in the room.
"Emu-chan?"
"Himu-chan!"
"Himu-chan!! Did you hear me?!" Reiko raised her voice slightly and shook the young Pediatric's shoulder to attract attention.
"Oh, Re-reiko-san, I'm sorry!" Emu turned to look at Reiko with a shocked face as well as a daze.
"Is there anything that disturbs your mind?" Reiko asked with a face full of worry.
"Ehm.."
"Reiko-san?"
"Hmm, forget it! I'm fine" Emu looks doubtful and undoes her intention of talking to Reiko.
"Oh, come on, baby! No need to be confused. Emu-chan can talk about anything with me" Reiko said a little forcefully, she just wanted to help Emu to reduce the burden on the sweet girl's mind.
Emu looked into Reiko's shady eyes. There is a longing for the mother figure in Emu's heart. A mother he had never met in his life. Emu's brown eyes started to fog. Suddenly she hugged Reiko tightly again and then started sobbing. Reiko could only gently caress Emu's black mane. He could feel if the young girl's soul was screaming for help. Emu is in a zone where she could be even more devastated if no one holds her. Reiko understood that if the series of events experienced by the sweet girl had injured him mentally and physically, healing him would have taken a short time. Reiko was determined not to let anyone hurt Emu, not even Date. He just wanted to protect the fragile crystal from getting smashed to pieces.
"Reiko-san, can I call you mother?" Emu's spontaneous questions surprise Reiko.
Reiko developed her smile. He kissed Emu's forehead with a pity.
"of course. Emu-chan can call me with any call" Reiko said, smiling to warm Emu's heart.
But that moment suddenly changed drastically. The sound of gunshots being heard outside made the two women of different generations spontaneously frightened. The sound of this bullet is different. Sounds closer than ever. Reiko placed both hands on Emu's earlobes to muffle the horror sound of the earthy shot. Emu closed her eyes in fear. But I don't know why Emu felt she had to see what happened. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt again. Unexpectedly Emu got up from her seat and ran towards the exit. Reiko frantically tries to prevent it but Emu is already running fast.
"EMU-CHAN IS! WAIT UP!"
Ddorr!!
Then there was the sound of gunfire that made everyone scream hysterically at once.
