Chapter 6: Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Poppy and Pallad sat on the CR room sofa sighing. Just now they play a new game made by Kuroto but they like to lose interest in playing the game. They miss Emu and the moment when they compete in completing a game.

"Poppy, I missed Emu for a long time he never visited CR and played with us" Pallad complained with a sad and gloomy face.

Poppy sees Pallad who is saddened by missing Emu finally taking the I-Pad and checking Emu's schedule in the database.

"Today Emu's morning shift. How about we go visit him and take him to lunch?" poppy's proposal to Pallad was enthusiastically welcomed by Pallad.

Poppy looked at the clock and it turned out that lunch time was almost here. Poppy then takes Pallad to see Emu immediately.

They walked through the corridors of the paediatric department with joy. They do miss Emu and want to talk a lot about her. They've met less and less since Emu was in a relationship with Date a few months ago. Date is always with Emu and they don't want to bother them.

When they reached Emu's room, it turned out that Emu wasn't there. Poppy tried to contact Emu through her phone, but it turned out that her phone rang on Emu's desk.

"Tumben Emu didn't bring his Handphone?" poppy said astonished.

"Maybe Emu's in Poppy's toilet! Try to check it!" pallad's Proposition to Poppy.

Poppypun immediately looked for Emu in the toilet nearby. Sure enough he found Emu there standing in front of the sink mirror, but a terrible sight was being seen by Poppy. Poppy can see behind the shirt there are also many bruises that have changed color.

"Your? You why?" Poppy's sudden voice shocked Emu. In a hurry Emu repaired the clothes she was wearing and put on a mask to cover her face.

"Poppy? Why is it here?" Emu asked nervously for not expecting to see Poppy here.

Poppy did not answer her question, she walked up to Emu and pulled the mask Emu was wearing, then Poppy turned to reveal Emu's shirt and looked more closely at the bruises that were all over Emu's body.

"What does this mean Emu? Where did you get these wounds? Answer me!!!" Poppy urges Emu with a question that Emu does not want to answer.

Emu let go of Poppy's hand holding her and threw away her face. He simply fell silent and bit his lips holding back the cry that asked to be released.

Poppy annoyedly pulled Emu's hand and took her out of the toilet. Pallad who saw Poppy come out with Emu smiled. But her smile faded after seeing Emu's face filled with wounds.

"Your?! Who did this?!" Pallad approached Emu with a trembling face. His eyes were incessantly staring at every corner of Emu's face adorned by bruises. Pallad touched Emu's face but her hand was pushed gently by Emu.

Emu simply fell silent and lowered her head avoiding the gaze of Poppy and Emu.

"Your?! Please answer me! Who did this to you?!" Pallad asked increasingly riled up to see Emu just speechless not reacting to anything.

"I'm fine! Please don't ask again!" Emu said softly.

"LIED!!! What's all right? See all this? Does this look good?!" Poppy snapped in annoyance while pointing at all the wounds Emu had suffered.

Emu suddenly crouched down and covered her ears when Poppy snapped at her. He cried and raved as if Poppy's voice hurt him.

"Please! Don't hurt. torment me!" Said Emu sobbing.

Pallad and Poppy saw that Emu was just stunned. Who made Emu like this. Gently Poppy hugged Emu and helped him wake up.

"Ssttt.. Calm Emu! No one hurt you! We'll protect you!" Said Poppy softly while rubbing the head of Emu.

Emu saw Poppy and Pallad alternately and suddenly his tears broke making the hearts of Poppy and Pallad slashed.

"Let's get Emu to CR!" Pallad then carried Emu on his back. Somehow Pallad felt that Emu's body had become very light and frail. What really happened to him.

Poppy follows Pallad who carries Emu and walks to CR. Poppy contacts Haima and asks for permission so Emu can rest early and explain Emu's situation to Haima.

Arriving at CR, Pallad laid Emu on the sofa. Poppy immediately picked up the pillow and blanket and fixed Emu's position to make it more comfortable when lying down. Pallad made Emu his favorite hot chocolate and helped Emu drink it. Poppy sat down beside Emu to check the wounds Emu suffered and applied some cream so that the wound quickly disappeared.

Emu slowly began to close her eyes. Somehow the drowsiness began to attack him when he felt a comfortable and warm feeling. For a long time he had not felt this warmth. Ever since Date started being rude to her, her days had turned to hell. Date is getting overprotective and possessive to him. Date never left him alone and always watched his movements. Even if Emu made a small mistake, Date would treat him horribly. Date did not hesitate to beat him and act rudely to him. Especially if there are other men who invite him to talk even though the man is the patient's parents or other nurses and doctors, Date will go berserk and even threaten him with a gun he has. Emu was already at the point of not wanting to fight back and refute Date. His soul was now empty and just resigned and let Date do anything to him. Even Emu felt her heart had gone numb. Now he feels tired and just wants to sleep quietly for a while. Disengage from Date for a while.

As Emu begins to fall asleep Pallad and Poppy watch him closely. Emu's face looks pale and pale. Not as glowing as before. His hands looked thinner than the last they met. Poppy sobbed, What kind of friend does she not know of Emu's true condition and let Emu suffer like this. Pallad hugged Poppy and patted her shoulder slowly. They hope Emu can recover soon and be ready again.

The CR door opened and Kiriya and Taiga were chatting and were immediately stunned to see Emu asleep on the sofa.

"Ah, there's Emu!! It's been a long time!" Kiriya approached Emu with a happy face but a second later she looked at Emu's condition. The approaching taiga glared at the worried state of Emu.

"What's going on? WHO DID THIS TO EMU?!" Kiriya's screams were furious as she stared intently at Poppy and Pallad.

Hearing Kiriya shout furiously, Emu squirmed on the sofa where she fell asleep. He closed his ears and began to rumble again in his sleep.

"I'm sorry! Hiks, I won't repeat it! I'm sorry. hiks forgive me!" Emu's voice sounded terrified. Taiga approached her and gently stroked Emu's hair.

"Sstt.. calm Emu! No one hurt you here! Go sleep! Don't fear!" Taiga softly calms Emu.

"Kiriya Tree! Hold emotions! It seemed like Emu could not hear a loud noise. He always closed his ears and raved when there was a loud noise!" Pinta Poppy half-whispered to Kiriya.

"Tell me what really happened! Why was Emu's face battered like that?" Kiriya asked in a soft voice so as not to wake Emu up.

Poppy takes Pallad, Taiga and Kiriya to the bottom of the stairs, so they can talk freely.

"I don't really know what happened. Emu won't answer my question. She's like freaked out every time I ask who did it!" Poppy is worried.

"Do what?!" Suddenly Hiiro appears with Haima who looks worried after receiving Poppy's phone call regarding Emu's state.

"You better see for yourself Emu's condition, Hiiro!" Pallad ketus.

They finally returned to where Emu had fallen asleep. How surprised Haima and Hiiro find Emu's condition alarming.

Hiiro approached Emu and held his thin and weak-looking hand. Hiiro's heart felt slashed to see Emu's condition.

"We don't know yet either! But somehow I think this is what Date did!" Kiriya.

"Who else can try to do this other than the people close to him!" Kiriya added again with an annoyed face.

"But we have no proof!" Poppy Refute.

"You better take a photo of Emu's condition now! It could also be proof of the future! Now we have to get a confession from Emu. If Emu does not reveal Date's treatment, then the evidence is also in vain!" Said Kiriya again followed by Poppy nod which immediately then began to take pictures of Emu conditions.

Emu woke up shocked to the sound of Date shouting loudly. Suddenly he was frightened and clutching the hand of Hiiro who was near him. Hiiro who saw Emu's terrified expression saw Date inevitably understand it was indeed Date who did all this.

Date strikes Taiga and Kiriya who attempt to drive him out of CR. Date easily beat up Taiga and Kiriya. In addition to Date's higher and larger body, Date was also a black-tipped Judo expert. They were all nothing when it came to physical strength. Date then punches Pallad who is trying to throw a punch at Date. Then push Poppy and Haima. Kuroto then helps Poppy and Haima bring Kiriya, Taiga, Pallad and Hiiro to the seat and immediately retrieves the P3k equipment to treat them.

"Who beat you up like this?!"kuroto asked in surprise, there is no way that a random person would beat them all so hard.

"DATE! **** THAT DID IT!" kiriya shouted furiously as she grimaced with the pain from the crushing blows that landed on her stomach and face.

"Date? Why would he do that?" kuroto asked while putting a bandage on Kiriya's hand.

"**** it brought Emu with it. He beat us up for helping Emu!" taiga Sahut.

"meaning?" Kuroto is further confused by what Kiriya and Taiga are saying.

"You better take a look at this photo, Kuroto!" Poppy handed over her phone with a photo of Emu's condition when they took care of her earlier.

Kuroto's hand shook looking at the photo shown by Poppy, her eyes darting. What kind of man would commit this atrocity to Emu whom he already considered to be his sister.

"**** it must pay for everything he did to Emu!!" Kuroto growled furiously.

"Director Haima! You better fire that! I'll call the police and report the action!" Kuroto takes her phone to report Date to the police but is prevented by Poppy.

"Don't report Kuroto first. Emu is still with him, I'm afraid that if the police catch him he will do something reckless to Emu. We'd better find out where he's taking Emu and keep an eye on him at a safe distance!" Poppy's suggestion followed a nod from the others.

"Well, how do we split up to find them. Director Haima, I'm asking for complete data on Date. Maybe he took Emu to his place. For now we will divide the team, Kiriya with Pallad, Taiga with Hiiro and I with Poppy" Usul Kuroto and agreed by all.

"Well now I'll call the hospital publicist and request data from Date complete and ask them to make a dismissal letter to Date!" Haima got out of her seat and left with Kuroto and Poppy.

"I'm mo-please Date-san! Oh, no, my sa-kiti! I-I'm min-tta sorry!" Emu's voice sounded softly pleading with Date who looked more angry than usual. Date did not speak to Emu and kept Emu firmly tied to the chair in Emu's apartment room.

"Shut up here you bitch! I'll punish you later!" Date left and locked Emu who was wailing.

Emu tried to untie her, but she was too weak to do so. Emu fell down with the chair to the floor hard. He could only groan in pain. Just crying was all he could do right now. Emu felt the pulling gravity so intense that she could not lift her own body. His strength is only this. He's really not strong anymore.

"Lord! It's better today be the end of my life! I couldn't do it anymore, I gave up! Please release me Lord! I just want to sleep peacefully! I beg!" Isak Emu who has given up on his destiny struggle. No more games for him. It was just Game over that he was waiting for now.

Date returned with a whip. Emu just gulped in fear of imagining what would happen. Date opens the rope that ties Emu and pulls her into bed and begins to mercilessly torture Emu. Emu could only grimace in pain and was unable to fight Date anymore.
