Breathless
Chapter 8: The Unforgiven

The sound of siren ambulance roaring loudly broke the silence of the night. Like Kiriya and Pallad's heartbeats beating above normal limits when seeing Emu's terrible condition. Along the way to the hospital they continued to pray and hope that Emu could make it through tonight and soon be back with them again.

The panic occurred when the ambulance officers along with Kiriya and Pallad arrived at the ER. All the doctors and nurses on duty in ER were shocked when the ambulance officers brought Emu, the young doctor they knew so well.

"Your?!! UMU!!" Poppy screamed hysterically when she saw Emu in a terrible condition being taken into the ER room.

"How is he doing?" tanya Poppy frantically tried to get closer and was eventually prevented by ER officers.

"You should all wait outside! We will do our best for Houjou-sensei!" Said one doctor who served in the ER with a face that looks worried to see Emu's condition.

"You're in good hands. They could have saved him! We have to believe!" Kiriya said with a bitter tone still heard in her voice.

Kiriya invites Pallad and Poppy to wait in the waiting room that has been provided. The three of them sat down in agitation. Kiriya did not stop moving her legs because she was not calm. It is still clear in his memory of the incident when he discovered Emu was not breathing in a bathup. His heart really hurt. Kiriya was terrified, she was afraid of losing the woman she loved so much. Pallad and Poppy hold hands and pray that tonight will be the last night for Emu's nightmare.

CRET! BRACKET!

The waiting room door was shifted roughly and hastily. Hiiro walked in with a very riled face followed by Taiga, Kuroto and Nico who were no less panicked. 

Kiriya looked at Hiiro filled with hatred. He approached Hiiro and floated a raw bogem towards Hiiro without a second thought. Hiiro who was unprepared for Kiriya's actions fell to the floor and was shocked to hold his face which felt very hot due to the blow delivered by Kiriya. Hiiro ignited emotions and ran towards Kiriya replying to his punch with a very hard fist.

"WOI! STOP YOU TWO!" Taiga screamed and broke them both. Instead of stopping a fight, the two of them grew more emotional and kept trying to hit each other. Even Taiga was almost hit by Kiriya's punch aimed at Hiiro. Kuroto immediately restrains Kiriya and pulls her away from Hiiro, while Pallad pulls Hiiro's body and tries to calm HIiro down. Even so the two of them still tried to attack not listening to the others. The commotion that occurred in the waiting room inevitably attracted the attention of other hospital residents.

"ENOUGH YOU TWO! STOP IT RIGHT NOW!" Suddenly Haima came and yelled at the two of them. Everyone was speechless looking at Haima who looked extremely angry and disbelieving with the unprofessionalness they showed.

"If you want to fight, please continue outside!" Haima firmly again invited the two of them while showing the exit.

Kiriya and Hiiro rolled their cobbled eyes. They break away and grip their friends roughly and tidy up their clothes. Poppy and Nico who saw the incident could only cry while hugging each other.

"With a fight like this, you won't be able to return Houjou-chan as you always have! I beg you to be no more mature!" haima said this time in a pleading tone to Hiiro and Kiriya.

Hiiro lowered his head. His eyes felt very hot. He approached the wall in the corner of the room and threw himself down on the floor, sitting curled up. His clenched hands held back the emotions. Good Lord! What have I done!

Kiriya sat on the sofa in annoyance. His face still showed hatred towards Hiiro.

"It's all your fault, asshole!" kiriya said Emotions while pointing at Hiiro's face.

"If only you hadn't rejected it! If only you hadn't broken her heart! Emu won't choose the wrong love and end up like this!" cecar Kiriya in a high voice and hit the wall beside him.

Hiiro's ears warmed when he heard the words Kiriya said. He can't deny it. In fact, he was the original cause of all this tragedy. If only he'd given Emu a chance. If only he hadn't just let go of Emu. If only he hadn't stuck with the past. Maybe Emu will not endure this suffering. It was possible that he could make Emu happy with all his heart. 

Oh God! How stupid of me! Immediately Hiiro started to blame himself and then came a feeling of fear. He's afraid of losing Emu. He can't deny that he really loves Emu. But Saki has always been a shadow that hinders her from reaching for Emu's love. He too late realized that the love he was looking for was in front of him all this time. Full of regret Hiiro buried his face on both of his legs. Hiiro sobbed already unable to hold back his tears to come out again.

Kiriya glanced at Hiiro then turned her face to look at the ceiling of the waiting room and let out a long sigh. It was unexpected that Hiiro's defense ended up being destroyed as well. Slowly Kiriya regulated her breathing and tried to ease the emotions that controlled her. He could not blame Hiiro for everything that happened.

Taiga approached Hiiro and patted him gently on the shoulder. Hiiro raised his face back then looked at Taiga's nanar.

"It's my fault!" hiiro said softly and softly.

"If only-" Taiga shut Hiiro's mouth and shook his head.

"No! It's not your fault, Him or us!" Resist Taiga.

"This is all wrong**** named DATE!" taiga replied while clenching her hands firmly restraining emotions.

"I'll kill that DICK!" pallad was furious. Poppy and Nico approach Pallad and try to calm him down.

"It's Pallad! Please calm down! Can we focus on Emu's situation now! i beg!" Poppy sobbing.

"But see what that****does to Emu, POPPY!" Pallad's lips trembled and tears came out of the corner of his eye.

"Can you imagine what suffering Emu is feeling!" Pallad said, holding Poppy's shoulders.

Everyone can just be quiet now. They all felt so stupid not being able to see who exactly the man that had been with Emu had been. They think Emu has found a man who can make her happy. They thought, Emu will not suffer anymore from a broken heart. But the truth is instead they've been digging graves for their loved ones. They cannot forgive themselves now.

"Then how is Emu doing now?" Nico's questions throw off their daydream.

"There are no reports yet. Doctors and ER officers are still handling it. We'll just wait a minute" Haima replied

"But did you really find him drowning in a bathup? The ambulance officer said it was a suicide attempt!" ask Haima to Kiriya and Pallad. 

Hiiro gasped in disbelief.

"Killed yourself?" Hiiro's voice was in disbelief

Kiriya let out a heavy breath.

"Didn't you read the last message Emu sent you?! That indeed opens up if Emu intends to take his own life. Moreover, we did find him drowning." Kiriya said with red eyes.

Poppy and Nico do not believe what they hear, what kind of suffering Emu bears so that the always cheerful and optimistic Emu can decide something extreme like this.

"Haima Director!" A doctor entered the waiting room and called Haima.

"Yes, Shouma-sensei! How's it?" Haima turned her head towards the doctor who was treating Emu at this time.

"I will report the results of the temporary examination of Houjou-sensei. I actually can't read it. But you must want to know how real Houjou-sensei is" Shouma said with a concerned and sad face.

"Houjou-sensei was brought in quite appalling conditions. He was hypothermic because his body temperature dropped dramatically due to drowning for quite a long time. Now we are still conducting laboratory tests to make sure no diagnosis is missed. In addition there are many injuries due to blunt objects, almost his entire body. On the part of his stomach other than the bruise, we found some cigarette stubs. His back also had wounds from a fresh lash. His face also had marks of blows and loud slaps. On his head there was also a impact mark. What we're worried about is he's gonna have a concussion. But we are still doing X-rays, fearing a crack in his cranium" Shouma sighed for a moment and continued his sentence. 

"In addition to that judging from the injuries he suffered, it could be said that the injuries had different time intervals. It means that Houjou-sensei has been through this for a long time." Shouma said it looks powerless to continue his sentence.

"There's more, the most concerning. Houjou-sensei was also subjected to sexual violence that I might not be able to explain. I hope the Director and all of you understand. I'm sure, if Houjou-sensei comes out of this critical period, he'll have a very great trauma." Shouma added.

"Oh God! I honestly don't understand who would do this to Houjou-sensei! What a jerk that guy is! Uh, sorry my director got carried away with emotions." Shouma said as he tried to hold back his own emotions.

Haima patted Shouma on the shoulder and did not blame him if he got carried away with emotions. Anyone who sees Emu's condition will definitely feel what Shouma-sensei is feeling. Moreover, they all know well the daily life of Emu who is always good to everyone.

"Okay director, I beg you first. If there's a new development I'll inform you soon." Shouma begged himself and left everyone in the waiting room in silence.

Everything in the room suddenly became quiet, they could not imagine what Emu had been feeling all along. How could he survive all the cruelty of Date Their feelings are now mixed. Guilt enveloped them and their anger towards Date was unstoppable anymore.

"**** that! He's gotta pay for all this!" Said Kuroto with a huff.

"Have you called the police?" Tanya Nico then turned to everyone.

"Of course I have! I contacted him immediately when I received word that Emu was found!" kuroto again.

"Are we going to turn this case over to the police?" hiiro said suddenly.

Everyone looked at him with a confused face.

"I mean,****that did something really bad to Emu. Did we just let him go to jail?" hiiro asked with a heavy voice and a sharp look.

"I see your point young master!" Kuroto meyeringai.

"There's nothing wrong with us breaking a finger, or having his hand do something cruel to Emuku, right?"An evil smile was seen on Kuroto's face, as if she was planning something to avenge Date's treatment of Emu.

"I was happy to skin him alive so he could feel what Emu was feeling!" Pallad's aura darkened, he seemed to have already intended to kill Date for Emu's sake.

"Can we give him the pleasure he did to Emu before he went to jail?" Kiriya said no less sharply.

"Don't do anything dangerous! Remember Date was a pretty dangerous person let alone he had a battle skill. I'm not responsible for what you do if you do something stupid!" emphatically Haima commemorates the members of CR .

They just kept quiet and looked at each other. It seems like they will ignore what Haima ordered. At least they wanted Date to feel the pain that Date had been giving Emu all along. For them if Date is just arrested and in jail, can't pay for what he's done to Emu and if he's released undeniably he'll chase Emu again and make a new nightmare for Emu.

"Can't we file a death sentence for that JERK Man, director? At least by using an electric chair so he can feel every electric shock that stings his body?" Taiga asked with a terrifying smile.

Haima could only shake her head at the behavior of all of them. It seemed like Date had awakened the monsters from within the CR members. Haima understands that they love Emu so much, so does Haima. He also loved Emu like a daughter he did not have. Seeing Emu's condition when it came just made his blood boil with anger. Date is unforgivable. But will he turn a blind eye to the plan that these CR members will execute?

"Make sure you do it smoothly. I'm not responsible if you do something stupid and someone else knows! Catch that!" said Haima gave the code to another CR member and left the room. 

Those in the room looked at each other. Are they sure they'll do terrible things to Date for doing unforgivable things? 

"I think the most able to do this 'dirty' job is just me and Pallad!" said Kuroto mnyeringai with her evil face.

"All of you doctors, the risk is too high if you defy the law!" kuroto said again, pointing to Kiriya, Taiga and Hiiro

."Let's just say that later we were in the wrong time and place when that 'dirty' job started!" hiiro said with a face full of determination and eyes gleaming with anger.

"So the Date extermination operation began?!" add Hiiro with his trademark style when starting an operation.

Kiriya, Taiga, Pallad and Kuroto looked at each other and smiled cynically. They will perform a different operation than usual and this time they are risking not only their lives but their reputation. Can they perform this operation without any errors? Well, we'll see.
