The next morning, Laura went to work as usual. The difference is, there is no spirit in him because his mind is really being very chaotic right now.
“Morning, Lola,” greet Laura to Lola who sits behind the cashier table.
“Morning, Laura. How was your date with Bryan yesterday? He asked for permission so that you do not need to work, you,” said Lola.
As a person who knows how Bryan's reputation, actually Lola is a little worried about Laura. However, there was a glimmer of hope in her heart that Laura could melt Bryan's frozen heart.
Laura turned her shoulders. “Nothing special, Lola. We just spent time at his house. That's it,” Laura replied with a faint smile.
Seeing Laura's expression, Lola became worried about what happened yesterday with Laura. She was afraid that what she was worried about really happened and hurt Laura.
“Are you okay, Laura? You look more lethargic today,” asked Lola, wanting to be sure.
“I'm fine. I was like this a lot when I was coming months,” to Laura, looking for the most reasonable reason she could do. “You must know for yourself, ‘kan, if some women experience very severe pain?” joking.
Lola chuckles. She could feel a little relieved now that she thought the cause of Laura's lethargy was due to the coming of the moon.
Although Lola was neither Laura's parents nor siblings, the middle-aged woman still cared about Laura. As a boss, he was not necessarily cold-hearted and concerned with his own interests. He was watching how the officers in Secret Garden were.
“If there is anything, do not hesitate and directly contact me. Or maybe you want another day off? I don't want you to pass out at the flower shop,” said Lola.
Laura smiled warmly. “No need, Lola. Take it easy, I'm not gonna faint. After all, I would definitely prefer to be here and spend time with the flowers rather than alone in the apartment,” Laura replied.
“Ya already then. You go inside and help Reyna make a bouquet to display in the display,” Lola commands.
“Ready, Boss!” reply Laura then walk in.
Reyna smiled broadly at the arrival of Laura.
“Laura, you finally came too. I want to pick up this phone but if my mom finds out, she'll be nagging me because I'm not working instead of calling,” Reyna said.
“Yes already, you pick up the phone first. Your mother won't know,” Laura replied.
A tall, strapping man stood facing the large glass of his study. As far as the eye could see, he could see a passing vehicle down there. I don't know how long he's been standing there staring occasionally at the phone he's on. Nor does he know for sure.
The man checked his phone again as if he was waiting for someone to call him. Because actually, he was waiting for at least a short message from a girl who has been filling his mind for some time.
Bryan glued the phone to his ear, patiently listening to the ringing after ringing of the audible phone. He waited for the message from across there. However, again and again, what is said is the voice of the mobile operator.
“Where is Laura actually?” bryan muttered as he put his phone back in his pants pocket. “Why is he so hard to contact?”
Two days have passed since the day they spent time at Bryan's house. Bryan tried many times to contact Laura, but unfortunately there was never an answer from the girl.
Bryan was feeling troubled. Things he never felt before for a woman. Usually, if his date can't be contacted anymore, Bryan won't think about it because he knows that there will be other women out there who want to be his date. But somehow that didn't happen to Laura.
It seemed like Bryan had made a lot of exceptions for Laura. First, persuade and seduce the girl to want to be a date. Second, let the girl spend the night at her house. And third, feeling uneasy because the girl had no news.
“Argh! I can go crazy if this is the way,” grumbled while rubbing his face in frustration.
The man reached back into his pants pocket to pick up the phone. He called Secret Garden.
“Halo, with Secret Garden here. Is there anything we can help you with?” ask Lola who raised the call.
“Hello, Lola. I'm Bryan . I want to ask if Laura is in Secret Garden right now?” ask Bryan.
“Yes, Laura is here. He was making some bouquets because it just so happened that these two days were on a lot of orders. What's up, Bryan?” reply Lola.
“Tell him that in fifteen minutes I will see him,” Bryan said.
Lola who could not refuse Bryan's words because Bryan was a regular customer at Secret Garden could only sigh and say, “Good. I'll tell you later,” reply.
Bryan who heard that Laura was in the Secret Garden could breathe a sigh of relief. And from Lola's story earlier, she concluded that Laura did not have time to renew it because she was busy with flower orders.
The man rushed out of the office to the Secret Garden. He should see Laura soon.
