Chapter 48. Daddy's?

Tonight will be a night that Star will probably never forget. Star was already wearing the clothes that Zafa had prepared. Even Zafa asked Star to decorate. Despite not knowing what surprise Zafa prepared for her, Star still obeyed her husband's orders.

Star stood in front of the mirror staking herself. A black Strapless Gotic Glam-style model dress wrapped her body beautifully. Her face was wearing natural makeup that was not too flashy. Star's hair was left to unravel.

"You're ready, Baby."

"Of course, Honey. Are we having a romantic dinner this time?" ask Star.

"No, we'll have a regular dinner with Lionel's grandmother and uncle."

"Why should I dress like this? I thought we were going to have a romantic dinner."

"Other times. If we go to Valencia, I'll take you to a romantic dinner by the beach."

"Oh yeah?"

"Of course Ms. Ardana. Now let's get out. Grandma's got a special guest."

"Where do you know?"

"That's a secret." Zafa glanced and kissed Star's forehead for a moment. They headed to the dining room.

In the dining room there were already Cecilia, Lionel and Adams. Cecilia invited the man and asked him to come alone. Although he refused, Adams finally came to meet the invitation.

As Adams arrived in the room, the first expression Adams showed was the shocked expression of seeing Lionel. He still remembers the man. A moment Adams was silent and fixated.

Lionel hugged Adams tightly. Seeing the man made Lionel think of his sister. Adams returned Lionel's embrace. However, his eyes were still. He wondered where Lionel's sister was about to drive him crazy first.

"What is this aunty? Why did Aunty invite me and forbid me to take my son and wife?"

"I'm sorry about that, Adams, but I want to talk to you first, I don't want this conversation to ruin your household."

Star has yet to realize who her grandmother's guests are. She sat next to her grandmother, then when she lifted her face, Star was made to look like she had just been the day she met her grandmother.

"Star, meet Adams Felipe Gellardo."

Hearing that name, Star froze even more. She knew that name, the name her mother always called in her diary.

"He's your real father, Star," Lionel continued. He looked at Adams too. "Adams she is Starlight, your daughter, the daughter born to my sister Arabella."

"Pu_daughter? You don't joke around with Lionel." Astounded. That was Adams response. However, Adams' shocked expression broke Star's heart. I don't know why Star saw the look of rejection from that face.

"I'm not kidding, Adams. I don't mean anything. Star just wants to see you."

"Ta_but how can it be?"

Star squeezed his fingers under the table. Zafa clasped Star's hand and made Star instantly turn his head.

'Everything will be fine. Calm down.' Zafa spoke without a voice, but Star could clearly see what her husband was saying.

"Why do you seem to be in disbelief. Do you doubt my sister? My sister's not a cheap girl Adams. She almost told you about her pregnancy, but you're gone."

"I left because your mother rejected me" Adams said.

Star suddenly stood up until her chair creaked. Zafa and Cecilia were shocked.

"City ..."

"Sorry honey, Grandma. I'm not feeling well. I don't think I can go to dinner tonight."

Star immediately turned away. I don't know what he's feeling right now. He just felt sick hearing his father say how could he? A really silly question according to Star. The man who was introduced as his father was like rejecting his presence.

Zafa immediately rushed after his wife. He didn't expect it to be like this. He should have made sure before he met Star and his father. If it had been like this, Zafa was sure Star would have been heartbroken.
