Chapter 63. Bad Thoughts

"Star, will you come with daddy to Spain?" ask Adams. Star momentarily turned to her grandmother, then she shook her head. He doesn't want to go there right now. Star thinks his father needs time to talk to his wife about him.

"Daddy has to make sure they won't turn me down, and then I'll come to Spain. I don't want any more rejection, Dad. I'm sorry."

"No problem, Daddy knows how you feel. Forgive daddy's attitude beforehand if it hurts your heart. Daddy's gonna talk about this with daddy's wife and your sisters soon."

"Thanks, Dad." - "Thanks."

"Don't talk like we're strangers, Star. What daddy did is nothing compared to all your mother's sacrifice for you."

"I'm grateful to be born from her womb, Dad."

"Daddy is also grateful to have met a woman as beautiful and as good as your mother."

"First when separated from your mother daddy was very bad. Daddy married only 2 years later and then daddy's wife gave birth to a son, named Gabriel is now only 18 years old. Your second sister Bethany is 16."

Star simply responded to the story with a faint smile. If you can be honest, hearing the story of his daddy, he felt jealous of his two sisters who must have been since childhood they got the attention of his daddy. Cecilia looked at her grandson. He knew what Star was feeling right now.

"Why are you quiet, Star?"

"It's okay, Dad. I'm a little tired. I'm going to the room for a break."

"You better get plenty of rest, honey. You just got back from the hospital" said Cecilia.

"Daddy will take you." Adams got up and took Star's wheelchair. The doctor suggested that Star not do too much exhausting activity.

Adams raised Star's body to make Star's face flushed. "I must be very heavy, Dad."

"Hmm, okay."

After confirming Star's comfortable position, Adams pushed Star's wheelchair towards his room. Star was happy to get this kind of attention from her daddy.

"I'm going to move to bed by myself, daddy doesn't have to carry me. I wouldn't be tired if I just walked for a while."

Star slowly stood up with the help of Adams. He walked carefully moving to the bed that was only 2 steps away.

"Do you need anything before daddy leaves?"

"No, Dad. Thank you." Thank you."

Adams again kissed Star's forehead gently. He wanted to show his late affection for his first daughter.

Star stared at his father's departure by carving out a faint smile. Although it was late at least he could still feel the affection of his daddy. Star took his phone and contacted Zafa. I don't know where it went, but Star's feeling was uncomfortable.

Star tried repeatedly to contact her husband, but Zafa did not pick her up at all. Star clucked in annoyance.

"Where is he? He doesn't usually leave without saying his purpose. Does she have another woman?"

Suddenly, Star felt sad. He sent a message to Zafa many times. It is up to her husband to retaliate or not, but if not, then he will go on strike.

Star's drowsiness instantly evaporated. He became annoyed with his negative thoughts. Star again dialed her husband's number and again was not connected. Star took a long breath. He tried to shake off all the bad thoughts that were trying to lodge in his mind.
