Daddy My Son's

Daddy My Son's
27. Fear

"Tomorrow, I have to go back to London, to work," Joe sipped his drink.

"Can't you just move here and fly from Indonesia?" virranda asked, looking at Joe who was putting his empty cup on the table.

"It can't be now, but I'll take care of it." said Joe looking at Virranda.

"What if Verrel misses you? What am I supposed to say?" virranda looked at her husband.

Joe immediately chuckled, crossing his hands in front of his chest while leaning his back on the back of the chair behind him.

"Why don't you be honest, if you're gonna miss me later?" Joe looked at Virranda's face which was met with red immediately hearing her words.

"I'm serious Joe, don't joke around" said Virranda, feigning anger.

"I'm also serious, I'm not kidding mommy Verrel," Joe's laughter returned, seeing the face of his heart's growing blush. Actually, he could have held back his laughter, but he did not want Virranda to tense up when he was with her, he was more willing if the woman felt annoyed at him.

Virranda immediately got up and brought empty cups to the sink to clean it with a face made to frown. Joe likes to joke out of place when he's serious.

"Let me clean it up my queen, you go to bed first," Joe took the tray from Virranda's hand and placed it over the westafel.

"But Joe, you were the one who prepared our drink. Now it's my turn to clean it up" Virranda protested again as the man pulled his wrist and drove him to his doorstep.

"You go to sleep first. It's late at night" Joe pushed Virranda into his room and shut her up. For a moment he stood at the door making sure the woman did not come out of her room. A few seconds later he put a smile on the end of his lips and went back to the sink to wash the dirty kitchen utensils.

As usual, Joe sang his romantic song while tidying up his mini kitchen. Joe, he always tries to achieve happiness with simple things, like now, cleaning the cup belonging to Virranda while smiling himself imagining what is in his head.

🎵You can make me smile, and

You can make my breath more meaningful (oooh)🎶

🎵You always keep your heart away from me, Wait for me to come back, I love you always, Love you until the end close your eyes🎶

Virranda smiled to herself peering out of the slit of her slightly open door, watching Joe's body curl into the rhythm of his song while tidying up the kitchen, unnoticed by the man.

"Heum, it's clean, it's tidy, and everything's in order" Joe murmured, watching the kitchen. "Now it's time to sleep." He then sauntered into his room, imagining sleeping in his favorite boy.

Chequek!

Joe locked the door to his room, then headed for his bed and Verrel.

"Why does the Verrel bolster look longer and bigger?" murmured Joe suspiciously, checking the side of the bed next to Verrel, while pressing gently with his hands under the dim lighting of the sleeping lamp.

Joe's heart rate is racing very fast, when it feels soft and chewy objects that are being touched by his fingers.

"Joe! You pervert!" squealed Virranda out from inside the blanket while hugging her own chest so tightly.

Joe's body immediately limp down the floor below him, the appearance of Virranda from behind a thick blanket and the woman's screams made her heart almost lose its function.

"Mommy's noisy! Verrel's sleepy!" nagel the boy immediately sat with the face of his pillow which was still very sleepy looking at his mother's face.

"Sorry Mommy, baby. Come on, sleep again," he gently persuaded his son.

"Mommy remembers Verrel, but there are exceptions. Tonight Mommy is afraid to sleep alone" he said.

"Fearful? Afraid of what Mommy is?" verrel asked with a look of astonishment.

"Fear, fear...." Virranda began to be confused to give an excuse to his smart child. "Oh, Verrel makes Mommy dizzy," Virranda's inner self.

"Mommy's afraid of ghosts?" verrel asked to make sure, with a slight squint of his eyes, trying to endure his drowsiness.

"Eh-Yes, Eh-no!" Mommy is afraid of the others" said Virranda quickly. Makes Verrel more astonished. If he says ghost, the boy will surely laugh at him, because he himself says there is no ghost.

Joe smiled inwardly, hearing the interaction of the mother and child, after he managed to ease his shock. He left it to the point where Virranda could overcome his son who would not stop asking questions before getting answers that could satisfy his curiosity.

"the others? What do you mean by Mommy?" Verrel's still curious.

"Verrel, don't ask too many questions, it's late at night. Come on, sleep again," Virranda persuaded as she gently brushed her son's hair, she had run out of words to persuade her over-critical son.

"Verrel wants Daddy Mom," the boy whined, as his hand did not find Joe lying next to him.

"Joe, get on fast!" the word Virranda half-whispered, to Joe who was still on the floor.

The man got up, walked around, then got in the basket and docked to Joe's little body.

"Why wake up again, Daddy's whiz? Heum?" joe rubbed Verrel's hair, straight, like a sling.

"Mommy's scream shocked Verrel Dad. Where did Daddy come from?" the boy asked, turning around and hugging Joe's body next to him.

Joe glanced at Virranda lying next to Verrel and was watching her and Verrel.

"Daddy fell on the floor, shocked to hear your Mommy scream," said Joe honestly, smiling as he saw Virranda showing her pouting face.

"Momny is just annoying. Aren't women not allowed into men's rooms, Dad?" he said again muttering in Joe's arms.

"That's right. But if Mommy can get into Daddy and Verrel's room, because we're one family." Joe said gently.

"But why hasn't Verrel seen Daddy in Mommy's room?" scowl the boy again with his question.

"Ever dong when Verrel was a baby, Verrel alone who does not remember," said Joe continued to gently wipe the head of his favorite child.

"But why hasn't Dad, we're family now?" the boy looked up at Joe's face, remembering his father's words just now.

"That's because Daddy has his own room. Mubazir was if not occupied. Never mind, it's late at night. Save all Verrel questions first, next time Daddy will answer. If we talk about it tonight, until morning it won't be over, and we lose time for rest" Joe said, trying to give understanding. He put the boy's head back on his arm.

Actually, he was out of answers. There is no way he could tell the reason why he and Virranda did not sleep in the same bed, given Verrel's too young age, not yet fully understand the complex adult complex.

Verrel, who still wanted to ask, clenched his mouth and closed his eyes, obeying Daddy's words. Her little hand rose into Joe's stomach and hugged him tightly.
