"Snick!"
Nickolas stopped his steps. The man circulated his gaze, looking for the source of the voice. His gaze stopped on the figure of a woman dressed in sexy and typical Asian skin who was pitching towards him. The smile of death continued to inflate perfectly on her beautiful face.
"You're here to pick me up, right?" said the woman who approached.
Nickolas chuckled, responding to the overconfident remark of the woman.
"Unfortunately you're wrong Vienna. I'm here to pick up Virranda lunch" said Nickholas straightforwardly. Yes, the woman was Vienna Arauna, a good friend of Virranda and Nickholas while still in vocational high school.
"Virrandah? He's in this office?" Viennese woman looks shocked.
"Yes. It's so strange, you're his officemate to the point of not knowing" said Nickholas with a faint smile.
"I-I just got off work today Nick. twelve days ago I was on leave," said Vienna, who is on a two-week leave.
"That, Virranda has arrived" pointed at Nickholas with a gesture of his face.
Vienna turned, following the direction pointed by Nickholas, he looked stunned, the figure of Virranda looked different from six years ago, the steps are firmer and more elegant down the lobby stairs towards those who are currently in the parking lot.
"Hi" said Virranda with a sweet smile.
"Hi is also Virranda Laura's daughter" Nickholas greeted back with a smile that re-expanded. Such was the familiar call pinned by the oriental-faced man. For him, Virranda is not just a friend to him, but like a princess in his dreams.
"H-hey V-Virranda!" a sudden sense of nervousness overpowered the woman.
"Didn't you miss me Vienna?" Virranda spread her arms wide, ready to welcome her old friend into her arms.
"Of course I miss you," said Vienna, still nervous, he then burst into Virranda's arms.
"Where have you been all this time?" ask Vienna. He loosened his arms and stared fixedly at Virranda's face.
"Me?" Virranda pointed at himself.
"Yes. Of course you are. You left without telling me," said Vienna with a look made to frown.
"I'm hungry. Buruan go yuk?" break Nickholas. The man pulled Virranda's hand towards his car which was not far from where the three were standing.
"I'm coming!" the Vienna that was left behind.
"Don't! I just want to eat with Virranda!" nicholas' reply continues to take Virranda away with him.
Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!
Vienna banged on the window glass beside the wheel of Nickholas, while continuing to weld to join his two best friends.
"Nick, stop. Don't prank Vienna on." Virranda. From a long time ago, Nickholas always treated Vienna like a stepson, even though the three of them were friends.
"I'm not working with Virranda, but I don't like him coming with us" Nickholas said.
"Come on Nick, he was our best friend a long time ago. Moreover, we haven't seen each other in a long time" said Virranda.
"We're not. But you're Virranda. You're the only one who wants to be friends with him but I don't" Nickholas protested.
"All right, just say it like that. But please let him come with us this afternoon, please?" persuade Virranda again.
"Well," Nickholas finally agreed, having gone through an argument with Virranda.
Chequek.
"You can come, come in!" nickolas said with a forced tone.
"Thank you," Vienna smiled widely. He thought, with the constant struggle of not knowing the shame of banging on the man's windowpanes, Nickolas finally collapsed.
Jebbleb.
At one pull, Nickholas' car door was tightly shut beside him. "I'll keep fighting to get you Nick" Vienna smiled to herself behind the cabin.
"Where do we eat?" vienna asked, a moment later, when Nickholas' car had been driving down the highway.
Virranda glanced at Nickholas who was focusing on his wheel and the road traffic in front of him. That's how the man is, not to be distracted while driving.
"Nick who treats us, we follow where he takes us" Virranda turned to Vienna, who sat behind Nickholas.
"Okay, all right," said Vienna agreed, as if she kept on expanding on her face. Not not to know, but Virranda pretended not to understand, if Vienna had liked Nickholas, their friend. And continued to pursue, tirelessly, until forced Nickholas had to change new mobile numbers many times, and got a reprimand from his father who often had difficulty contacting him.
...🍓🍓🍓...
"So you've got a five-year-old?" ask Vienna in shock.
Uhuk! Uhuk! Uhuk!
"A-ir!" nickolas said with great difficulty. Virranda hurriedly gave the man a glass of water to relieve his throat.
"Look, Nickholas was surprised to hear you suddenly have a child Vir," he said glancing at Nickholas.
"Not Vienna. But it was your screeches that choked me with shock" said Nickholas with a stern look, after putting his empty glass.
"I knew Virranda had a son five years ago. Did you forget that you told me Virranda was married to a cafe singer? People who have a husband are very reasonable if they already have a Viennese child," explained Nicholas at length.
"Yes, you're right. I forgot," said Vienna laughing awkwardly.
"Virrandah? Are you here?" he heard a familiar voice. Virranda looked up at the source of the voice.
"Bapy? master Ferdinand?" virranda said with a look of wonder, seeing his father and former boss could happen to be in the same restaurant as him.
Nickholas and Vienna spontaneously stood up and bowed respectfully to the two men. "Good day, Mr. Loenhard, and Mr. Ferdinand Kwang" they saluted.
Who does not know Ferdiand Kwang, a young entrepreneur who is quite famous in his expertise to develop his family business to the top. Mr. Loenhard, a senior businessman who carved his foundation into old age.
In addition, both Nickholas and Virranda have met Virranda's father because they were good friends with the rich businessman's daughter for a long time.
"Good day, sit back" said Mr. Loenhard, greeting him kindly. While Ferdinand Kwang who stood beside Mr. Loenhard, only smiled at the end of his lips, barely visible when he was smiling.
"After your lunch is over, join us in the VIP room" said Mr. Loenhard turning to his daughter Virranda.
"But Pi, am I here with Nick and Vienna?" virranda said, hoping her father would not force her to come with them.
"Nick, don't you mind if Virranda doesn't come with you guys back?" mr. Loenhard said to Nickholas. In addition to knowing the young man as a friend of Viirranda, Mr. Loenhard also knew the father of Nickholas, a fellow businessman who has a myriad of achievements.
"Of course, sir" said Nickholas respectfully.
"Well then, thank you" said Mr. Loenhard, smiling faintly at Nickholas. He glanced at Vienna at a glance, his daughter's best friend, as well as his employees who worked as a secretary of finance manager at his company.
"We'll excuse you. And don't forget, catch up with Virranda immediately" said Mr. Loenhard.
