Damar (Not) For Wulan

Damar (Not) For Wulan
Final Decision

Both of our parents saw us taking turns. They shook their heads a few times.

"You two have no right to refuse! Try to remember again your childhood that used to play together, even lost together as well. You guys are destined to be partners since in the womb." Aunt Iren is so cool.

"But, Mam. All Damar's plans can fall apart because of this matchmaking."

"Silence!" the voice of Om Purnomo was shrill.

We were all shocked by it, I moved away from Aunt Iren's body.

"You two have to get engaged before you get married! Papa gives you six months of engagement so you get closer and get back to remembering your childhood. Anyway, this is our final decision. Right, Mam? Miss Iren and Mr Ramli?"

My parents just nodded. While Aunt Iren is so sparkling.

"What a wise opinion Papa. My mom agrees this way. Let them close after the engagement. Damar's thesis was completed in less than three months." Sumringah's smile was so bright.

What about my feelings? Why are you even indifferent about this feeling? I want to feel like I'm screaming out loud. But I can only say in my heart.

"We're ending this matchmaking up here! Two months later, we'll be back to talk about Damar and Wulan's engagement."

"Asikkkk, there's another party." Selena who had since noticed the drama of the two families shouted loudly. We all glanced at him.

"Duh, this is a really bad boy." Damar snatched his sister's head.

"Mas, sick tau. Paan saha sampe jitak head of all." Selena rubbed her head.

"Budu, You're tacky." Damar left this room.

"Cell, call Mbok Inem! Our family candidate should rest."

"Berez, Mum." The girl said goodbye to us before she walked away. At least he appreciates my parents' whereabouts, not like the indifferent Damar.

"You will follow Mbok Inem to the guest room. Tomorrow, I'll give you all your clothes."

Mom and I don't believe what the middle-aged woman said.

"What auntie mean?" I have to make sure.

"You got the family uniform. We have prepared everything. Tomorrow morning let Bi Inem take you to your room."

"Good rest, you don't have to think!" Aunt Iren and her husband told us to rest.

Selena walked with a woman older than my mother.

"Mbok Inem, anterin our guests yes! Mama and Papa." Selena then told us.

We were taken to a very large bedroom.

After that he left and came back again with a tray of snacks and drinks. The woman said goodbye to us after she was done with her job.

"His guest room is big like this." He rubbed a spring bed that he had never seen before.

"Mom and Dad change clothes! The mbok brought this too." I gave them a paper bag.

"Well, there's a bathroom too, sir." My mom opened the bathroom door. They both did not respond to my words.

"Hadeuh, over time live in the village. So this is it." I don't know, the words just now insulted them or as a pity. Without saying much, I lay myself on a big bed. The three of us must have slept on a big soft bed like this.

My parents had already changed their clothes and washed their faces. They were lying in the same bed, Mother sleeping in the middle. While I turned my back to the two while hugging the bolster.

"Lan, you haven't slept yet, have you?" ask Mother. Of course I didn't answer. I had to pretend to be asleep until finally these eyes just closed.

My body was shaken, these eyelids were hard to open. With weight, I tried to squint my eyes.

"Wake, Lan! We're late waking up shubuh nih." Mother's voice sounded hoarse.

I rubbed my eyes repeatedly, this body lying half-sitting. I saw Mom and Dad walking towards the bathroom.

"You're late for sleep, so bad luck." I forgot to turn on the phone. Yesterday, I deliberately deactivated the phone so that there was no interference from anyone.

It feels so lazy to get out of bed. There was a knock on the door, with a new appearance of waking up, I walked towards the door. Turn the door knob and open it.

"Sorry to interrupt, Non. Here's the bride's family dress. Please take a shower and alley his clothes, the makeup when you arrive at the hotel. So's the message from Madam." Mbok Inem presented three packages of clothes that were neatly hung.

"Thank you, Mbok. We're out of here maybe ten minutes." I'm trying to smile.

"The breakfast is ready, no. Go to the dining room before going to the hotel. Let's not look at it when it's dandy later." His smile revealed increasingly visible wrinkles.

I just nodded. He went to continue his work.

"Battle a shower, Lan! We're ready."

"Rarely ready, the clothes that must be worn. Hopefully it will fit." This face showed a sour look. I sulked at them, feeling betrayed because they did not dispute this match.

"Lan, since when have you been acting like this? Are you tired of us?" Mom took a clothes hanger that fit her size.

"Sorry, Mom. Wulan was just a deadbeat for being fooled."

"You should be happy because soon you don't have to work in that coffee shop." Again, I reveal that.

"Wulan wants to shower first, hunt late later." I stifled the move to show annoyance.

"It's just right Iren the size of our clothes before we go to Jakarta, sir. Turns out he made the bridal family uniform for us." I heard Mom's voice. I'll close the bathroom door immediately. A modern kebaya that fits my size is hung in a safe place.

It didn't take long for me. Ten minutes I've had a bath and changed to wearing this kebaya. We had breakfast along with a sandwich and warm milk. Mother and Father who are not familiar with the menu like this stare at each other. I nudged Mom's arm to eat. After breakfast, we got into the car to go to the Sriwijaya hotel.

"Wait first! Wulan, you're coming with Mama for a second!" Aunt Iren forcibly pulled this arm.

"Where are you going, Auntie?"

"Call Mama dong!" The question is not he gubris.

I'm overwhelmed that wearing high heels can't keep pace with this woman

"You have to get in this car!" He opened the front door for me.

"Whose car is this, Tan? Why would Wulan have to get in this car?" Aunt Iren closed the door after successfully forcing me to board.

"Well, you just wait here! Aunt stay yes!" He left me alone.

"Well, who's the driver? Why am I riding in this car alone?" I tried to calm myself down.
