Demon King
Chapter 74 The War Between Man and Fairy [2]

“I found it!”

“Catch him!”

Screams of pain and confusion filled the first floor corridor, mixed with shouts of orders as the guild officers attempted to restore order. There are no monsters to be found here. The only occupants of this floor are myself and my prey.

“Binding!”

“Sial, he's too fast!”

Magic is not an easy thing to avoid. Most of the spells are activated immediately on the target as soon as they are cast. But if you can detect the magic beforehand and determine where the location of the attack is, it's not too difficult to avoid, especially if the caster is someone whose level is much lower than yours.

“Are the elves ?!”

“I haven't seen it... come out!”

[You gained 329,183 experiences.]

[You received 192 gold and 83 silver.]

[You have obtained items in the opponent's inventory, which includes.].

“There's more than one of them! They can appear anywhere, stay alert! ”

“They are high level class!”

Even when overwhelmed by far more powerful forces, humans still had the capacity to unite and fight back. With enough planning and preparation, nothing is impossible.

[You have gained 484,029 experiences]

[You have received 1,742 gold.].

However, amidst this chaos where their lives were in danger, it was almost impossible for the guild to maintain order. The humans here panicked, starting to part ways in an attempt to protect their own lives.

“I don't want to die like this.”

“We just have to hold on until the others come in!”

“We won't be able to!”

[You get.].

As the group slowly began to disperse into individuals, the confusion continued to increase. The bad side of humans will soon emerge, their desire to survive at any cost.

“Binding...!”

“That's it!”

“That's fairy!”

True elf!

I appeared before them, my illusion item made me appear as a fairy with a pure white skin and a different face.

“Kill now!” Countless attacks flew towards me, both magic and weapons heading towards me. An explosion flooded the corridor, capturing several humans in the explosion. But the others don't care. It's not like they know all their guild members. And during the attack it kills the enemy? In fact, whoever caused the explosion would probably receive a promotion for taking out the enemy.

“Is it dead?”

“Experience! Anyone who has just received experience and gold, let me know! ” The reality is I never get caught in an explosion, only my alter ego after I jump using Ubiquitous. My alter ego, combined with my best Confusion skills, was enough to deceive them. As the smoke dissipated, all that was there was the body of their fallen comrade.

Who killed him?

“No body!”

“This is not finished. Everyone, prepare yourself! ” I shifted my form to suit my surroundings, preparing the shining sword of my greatsword as I approached. The sword I was holding shone with an ugly light, filled with my mana. The light faded as the mana in the sword ejected itself, taking out my enemies before they could figure out what was happening.

Again, I jumped away with Ubiquitous. A group of them had escaped to the entrance of a narrow passageway where guild officers were trying to maintain order. I'm right under their noses now, but they don't know. “Almost too easy to fool their senses.” Their failure to develop their own strength would only result in death. Death is on their way faster than they want.

I took a breath as I bent down to the floor, darting forward like a sprinter without the slightest hesitation. I combined Power Attack, Speed Attack, and some of my other high-end skills to activate Devil’s Fang.

“Oh..!” The human who led the others too late realized which flow was abnormal. His body was cut in half at the waist by my greatsword before he could even issue a warning.

[You get.].

They're in the west!

“Stop them!”

The human body lying in the hall began to rise into the air, carried away by my black smoke that was devouring them hungry. Some of those at the end of the passageway had seen the attack and were trying to escape, but I only needed to look at them to trigger a trap to prevent their movement. The activation speed of the Lunatic Trickster, now that it has reached the advanced level, is functionally zero as long as I provide the material for it.

Aghhh!

This monster…! I exert force onto my feet, closing the distance between us in a matter of seconds. By the time I reached the end of the passageway, the dozens of humans that filled the passageway had already disappeared without a trace.

“Sial, he is stronger than the dead!”

“There is a magic trap here!”

Humanness. That's the group I've been to. There are those who always try to stand out but will be buried by the group. There are also people who will do anything, even the most cruel act if it means protecting humanity. As I contemplated this, I stepped forward using half of my mana to burn the passageway with my fire magic. A witch tried to stop my fire but couldn't prevent me from grabbing her neck and breaking it. Nor can his allies stop me from splitting them with my sword.

“We have lost contact with people in other aisles.”

Take a look. I laughed as I appeared in front of a guild officer, brandishing my sword which was emitting a strange light once again.

“There are too many of us for you to handle.” My sword split open, the officer's head floating in the air. His face was caught in an expression of terror, perfectly fitting as black smoke billowed all over. One hundred and twenty left.

“As expected, it really elf.”

“Do not call me elf, we Rookies!” I jumped again, issuing a battle cry for all those close to hear. I was too fast for them to chase and too strong to fight.

“Agh!”

“I think elves are not hostile?!” It was so funny to me that I couldn't help but laugh. One by one, these human heads flew in the air. I have let go of my tactics of surprise and confusion, stepping through humans with confidence.

“Well, it was just a small misunderstanding, and I have to admit my curiosity about the items I could obtain by killing all of you.”

“...!” My Devil's claw protruded from my shoulder, the tendrils stretched out in all directions. No matter what armor they encountered; the tendrils bit them easily to reach the weak souls hidden within. They only continued to grow as they devoured it.

“If you want to stop us, why do you install weak guards at the entrance?”

“Get him!”

This human was unaware of the existence of the Rookie Battlefield, which was a well-guarded secret by the elves. They believe that there are more elves in the dungeon, and if they kill me, I won't tell the others. ‘How stupid.’ Had I really been a fairy, I would have returned to the Rookie Battlefield after I fought with the guild here.

He's too strong!

“No way.... is he more than level 200?”

“Even if all the elves are so, we can beat them!”

Humans rely on reason and logic, but at times like these, they become impulsive and ruthless. Countless humans had lost their lives here today, making the remaining ones desperate. There is only one human here that I allow to survive, the one who hides himself the best among all that is here. I went with him several times but decided to leave him. They fled now, believing that their skills were enough to save them. I needed him to run out and tell those waiting outside that I was here.

I decided to stop playing with my food, jump forward with Ubiquitous and slash the necks of the people in front of me. Where I exploded, the humans around me, fell easily. ‘Weak, too weak!’ A soldier holding an axe jumped at me as soon as I appeared together everywhere, had been waiting for me to appear to kill me. His attack was triggered by mana, the blade of the axe glowed blue.

“Mati!”

It seems like there are people in this group who will put their own lives at risk for others. I considered this as I jumped away from the soldiers with Ubiquitous. “Well, it doesn't matter.” Black lightning erupted from my sword, exploding through all the nearby soldiers. I stepped forward and removed their heads as they lay collapsed on the floor. Now, there are only three left.

“Please .. forgive me..” A young woman throws her sword on the ground and kneels, begging for her life. The other two who were with him quickly begged. I know that more enemies have just entered the first floor.

“How much?”

“Se-seventy-four! We thought you'd be further away in the dungeon! ”

“Seventy-four people..”

“Please forgive me!” I shot out a black rose, pierced through the woman's neck and instantly killed her. The others tried to stand up and escape but only made one step before meeting the same fate. I could hear the sound of footsteps getting louder, troops in battle formations marching through the dungeon.

“The traces of the battle remain, but there are no corpses. Any survivors? ”

We have to hurry.

“Don't be too hasty. We expect the enemy to be strong. Today will be the day that humans will surpass the elves. ” I can hear a strong voice, dripping with confidence. Voice of responsibility. ‘The most delicious prey here has arrived.’

I ran to the floor, set up more traps, and pulled out my sword once more.
