Dragon Realm

Dragon Realm
Episodes 10

THE COUNCIL of the Dragon Monarch was summoned in a hurry. With the exception of Black, only the closest emperor's brother could be present. But the rumors about why the Council had been summoned together were enough that those who could not be there still made preparations for a possible battle.

Silver is there. Green and Red sat on opposite sides, looking at each other suspiciously. Iron, large and large, second in power after the emperor, had made one of his rare appearances.

Gold scanned them. Even Iron was forced to retreat by that gaze. When the emperor acted in such a manner, things became bad.

“I am sorry because others have not arrived—especially Ice, which is very close—but this number should be enough.”

He stopped, as if waiting for a comment.

“Fate, master of the game, has distributed the card once again. The Dragon Realm threatens to escape our power once again.”

The plainness of the statement only serves to emphasize the importance of it. Only once before was their strength challenged. The enemy almost defeated them.

As if saying what everyone had in mind, Iron roared, “The Dragon Masters are dead! No one can challenge us!”

"The Masters may have left, but their legacy lives on."

Red spit in disgust. The stain burned its way to the ground. "This sounds too similar to the last Council."

"That will continue to sound like the last Council."

The ruler of the Hell Plains gave a curious gaze that was almost like a human. "What do you mean, my lord?"

Instead of answering his brother, Gold raised his large head, spread his wings, and shouted towards the shadows, "You may enter!"

They come slowly. Two of them. There were many things in their appearance that told of the close relationship between everything in the room. Being dragon-wielding, they might pretend to be King, but the others know better. As per custom, they kneel, bowing their heads.

Iron flashes. "Whose duke is this?"

"They belong to Brown."

“He sent his subordinates and did not deign to come alone? Sire, let me take my legion and teach our arrogant brother a sizzling spot! ”

"I'm afraid the lessons now won't be much use." Gold is moving on to both. "Call those who carry bodies."

"Body?" One word comes out of more than one mouth. There's concern. And frightened.

The newcomers stood up, bowed, and left silently. A short time passed, as if those who had to enter were afraid to do so. The Dragon Monarch shifted impatiently.

Finally, the five figures, including the third warrior of the Brown Dragon clan and the two Golden Dragon warriors themselves, returned. On the stage carried by the four people lay a veiled form. One of the reptile kings hissed when he recognized what the shape was actually.

"Chocolate! They're Brown bears!”

Unaccustomed to the power that had gathered in the room, the dukes knelt down, still propping up the platform between them. Though powerful, they were afraid of their own lives. However, to their king, they were invisible. The Dragon Monarch was too worried about the death of one of their own.

“Who has done this?”

"He's wearing his male form!"

"Someone must have hit him as soon as he left us!"

Even as he spoke, his eyes turned to the Gray Mist guard. Black smiled, but it was a smile that Death might have painted, so gloomy. "healthy? Surprisingly you seem happy with this! What do you have to say, brother? ”

Black tilts his head. “Esteemed brother, as I said. The Master's blood is still there. I suspect there are others too. We can never be absolutely sure. After all, it was Purple's strategy, and she died facing our last and greatest enemy

“Then you blame this on Nathan Bedlam's grandson. I have ordered that this one should be watched! Where are my spies!”

Something floated out from the darkness of the upper level of the room. It had no earthly counterparts, and even emperors knew little about the history of its kind. The spy is on duty, and that's all that matters in the long run.

Something happened to the target they were aiming for. The dark servants of the emperor had arrived, only to find out that he had disappeared. Ordered by one of the Extraordinary, he claimed. Both of them had ascended to the Barren Land. The servants have returned here, to the residence of the Great One, but are afraid to tell him.

"So." So." Gold fired the spy. It flew back to its black nest and disappeared. “Brown chooses to be non-compliant. He tried to kill Bedlam's hatchlings alone! His disobedience cost him dearly.”

Most of the others remained silent. Gold in general is a calm and wise leader. His knowledge was almost as great as the late ruler of the City of Knowledge. Purple, however, had rejected the emperor's power. This fact always surrounds Gold. To him, such blatant disobedience showed a lack of confidence in him as a ruler. It was one of his few weak points. No one dared to mention it.

The emperor calmed down a little. “Our brother is found in one of the most remote parts—if one can use that term without being heard repeatedly—from Barren Land. It is estimated that he died under the supervision of the Twins.”

The reaction he received on these words did not disappoint him. The Twins' hunger for sacrifice is well known. In return, they would do a lot to increase one's spell power. Brown clearly intended to use humans to restore his fertile fields. That he had died left a lot of speculation. "We need to be ready." Gold's voice is dead. This is a command that must be obeyed completely. “We must gather our legions once again. If the second human resurrection is imminent, we must find it while it is still in its birth stage.”

Even though he stopped, they knew what he was leading. Black smiled, but Gold did not reprimand him.

“We have to take Penacles. We must return to our power City of Knowledge.”

Iron roared his agreement. “Yes! I will defeat my Beast horde and destroy the Gryphon! Then I'll collect—”

"No! I will be responsible for the defeat and sacking of Penacles!”

The words of the emperor silenced all. While the Gold legions were superior to the others, they rarely saw this kind of action. The true reason for this sudden turn was quite clear: for the Dragon Monarch, knowledge was power. The king of kings had no intention of letting his brothers take control of that power, lest they pose a threat to him.

"Mr! Doing so can threaten the life of your great self!”

The others agreed. Silver looked at his master with worry. The Emperor frowned as best he could. Silver was loyal to him, but unfortunately that meant the ruler of the Mine subconsciously took a position on the other side. The gold breathed a little. A compromise must be made.

"Very good. Black, you will unite your strength. Iron, I'm appointing you to collect what's left of Brother Brown and add it to yours. You will attack from the west. The ruler of the Hell's Plains and myself will stand up as a backup and then attack. Toma will lead my Imperial army.”

There's a deal here. Toma, the Golden hatch, but only a firedrake, was still a trained battle leader.

"I'll stay here, issue orders as necessary." And playing dam on a pile of eggs, he thought. Still, it would make the others wary. Toma can protect himself. Despite not having the genes that would make him the successor of the Empire, his mind was the same, if not superior, of the many people in this room.

Damn the changing egg pattern!

“All waiters should keep an eye on Bedlam's son! If he can be sent, then they must do it. If not, they should report to you immediately.”

“Battle, Sir. Are we all going to sit still?”

Gold looks at them. “You and the others must watch over your land. We might miss something. I want to hear from all of you.” He stretched himself as high as he could. “This council is over. You have your duty. Do that.”

The corpse of the Brown Dragon King was taken away. After that, the Dragon Monarch left. They don't talk. Their tasks have been described, and it would be a pity if they failed to perform them.
