Dragon Realm
Episode 38's

More and more, the work dredged the memory of his subconscious.

A groan. He stiffened, hoping every second would be attacked by other robbers. The second groan erases that belief; this is the human voice. The sound of a dragon would be hoarse, even hissing. It's more high-pitched, like a singer.

Stepping past what was once the base of the north wall, Gwen enters the remains of the cabin. That groan has subsided now. He started to worry that he was late. Moving with less caution than before, the witch walked towards the trigger of the moans.

He was buried under the rubble that became the roof. He pulled one of the blocks. That won't budge. Reluctantly, he beckoned with his left hand, knowing as he did that each new spell would increasingly draw the duke's attention to him.

When the last wood had been lifted and stored nearby, Lady stared at the figure at her feet. His face turned away from her, but his forest clothes and curly hair reminded him of someone from his youth. He turned his head slowly, so as not to injure her. Fortunately, his neck was not broken.

He's correct. His face was more than familiar. The name accompanying the face was Hadeen. She is part of the fairy. He is also an elemental. Nathan Bedlam would trust no one but this half elf. Some claim that Hadeen was once Nathan's own teacher. That could be true.

Hadeen's eyes were wide open. For the shortest time, he stared at her directly. A smile played on his broken face. He muttered something, but Gwen could not hear him. He leaned closer.

"Mrs Amber, daughter of the goddess of wood." As if satisfied with that statement, the half elf was out of date.

He looked at her in shock. Very close! Toma had managed to destroy one of his thin clues.

"Gwendolin."

The witch jumped. The voice came from Hadeen, but a limp body was not the source.

"Here, Gwendolyn."

A tall and strong oak tree wiggles its large green headdress. Lady nodded to herself; Hadeen was still one of the forest dwellers, regardless of her humanity. It was that the elf had chosen one of the trees for his final resting place; its essence helped the tree and the surrounding land flourish. In such a way the spirits of the elves were always with his people.

It was as if the tree was smiling. “Thank you Rheena you came before I died, Gwendolyn. Otherwise, I would never have struggled for semblance of personality. For a short time, I was able to communicate with you. ”

“What's going on here, Hadeen? Where is the rest of this dragon power?”

The branches of the oak tree trembled in victory. “Earth, air, fire, and water! Elemental will not be easily defeated in his own home! I caught the first one with a cleaning flame. The tornado got rid of the next attacker; they were supposed to be somewhere in the east sea. Water, in the form of deadly ice, gave some monsters a picture of the underworld. The earth swallowed most of the others.

Unfortunately, I was unable to protect myself all this time. The one I burned could release the spell before it expired. It was surprising when my attention was elsewhere. ”

The tree spirit spoke quickly. It will not be long before consciousness gives way to the normal nature of the oak tree. After that, Lady had to deal with emotions. While he understood the way plants were, the information he needed would not be able to be obtained from something thought by feeling, not by words.

“Hadin—”

“No Hadeen; only oak and spirit trees become one with him.”

"Yes." Yeah."

“I searched for him. I believe Azran has him. I want to know-"

The disembodied voice cut him off. “Hadien knows about the traitor's son's fortress. Those you are looking for are not there.”

Gwen could see that the half-elf spirit was fused with the essence of the tree. He's running out of time, and now he doesn't know where to look.

"Where is Cabe now?"

“He's approaching the beginning and end. The two-mind ghosts seek her powers, which are not hers but theirs and their own. If his powers are passed, Quel will wake up.”

Frowning in frustration, Lady tried again. “Hadien, listen—”

The voice struggles to retract its remaining individuality. “Gwendolin. The faceless witch now has Cabe. The scale now leads to a crime where the shadow witch is concerned. Go to Talak. Wait for your two-year-old girlfriend there.”

"Not me"

The spirit became distant. “The child is dying. Nathan wanted to make sure that at least his grandson survived. If he did it himself, it was just luck. He knew the Dragon Monarch would win, but he hoped that the seed would grow again.”

He has been waiting. At first, only the rustling of the leaves blown by the wind answered him.

“Gwendolin. Only two people who become one can succeed.”

That'sthat's all. Hadeen half elves have left. He left more confusion than answers. Two who's one? He sighed. If time allowed, he would bury Hadeen's mortal body, but as it were, every extra second harmed him. The sheer number of spells in one small area would definitely attract Toma's attention, although losing this power would not.

Something moved in the bushes far to his right. He had dropped his spell to talk to Hadeen. Now, though nowhere to be seen once more, Gwen seeks refuge from an oak tree that now contains what has become part of Hadeen. It was always possible that the firerake had some kind of charm that could counteract his spell.

A small drake, in its original form, is visible. It did not care much about the foliage, as it came from the Tyber Mountains. The dragon tore apart smaller trees and plants as it walked towards the remains of the cabin. Two similar creatures followed behind him. The Dog of the Dragon King.

He knew they couldn't smell it. Whether the wind blows or not has nothing to do. Although she was not an elf, Lady was very at home with the forest. He did not carry the scent that would mark him as a human.

However, this is not a dog in the normal sense. While two men investigate the massacre, the real one sniffing the air, the direction it's aimed at is too close for Gwen's taste. It's homing in on his power. He knew that the Dragon Monarch had toyed with the idea of a tracker capable of seeing power, but this was the first time he had seen the idea come true. It's not a fun invention to make.

From the original path of the small drake came five armored figures. That they show no fear of trackers marking them as firearms even before they are close enough to visually identify. Four had unsheathed swords; the fifth with bare hands. The enchantress listed it as the most dangerous. If he was unarmed, it was only because he had another ability to protect him.
