Dragon Realm
Episode 6

It is raining outside. Cabe put the hood of his robe over his head.

A horse snorted. Cabe turned around and found himself staring at the rider. The mountain was a fiery and unnatural beast. Beside him, nervous, there was a smaller and normal horse. It was this mountain control that was thrown at him.

“We're up! The rush!"

Cabe climb. The Dragon Monarch waited until he calmed down and then started. The servant rushed after him, half wondering why he did it and knowing what might have happened if he had not done it.

Far above, the storm screamed unnaturally.

IN THE CITY of Penacles, in the middle of the market, there is the tent Bhyram the fruit seller. The night was stormy, and Bhyram cursed because he had to put all his wares in the tent alone. With each sack, he cursed his assistant, a young man who was very thirsty.

A strange voice came to him from outside. “How much is the price for two srevo?”

Srevos is a sweet fruit that usually carries four coppers. Bhyram automatically says eight.

There's a coin on the ground. The merchant turned around and rushed out of the tent. It was raining heavily, but he knew that none of his fruits had been stolen.

He also knew that there was no one near him. Saying an old saying to ward off magic, he carefully picked up eight coppers.

After all, he was still a businessman.

ON AND ON they ride. The dark rider did not seem to be bothered by the storm, and Cabe had long since given up on fighting him. Even when it stopped raining, no one noticed.

They headed west, and in the depths of his heart, Cabe vaguely recalled that this was the land ruled by the Brown Dragon, the Barren Land aptly named. Dry mud and weeds occasionally fill most of the Barren Land. It wasn't the most hospitable place .. and they were headed to his heart.

Reason told Cabe to run. The reason for telling Cabe that his death must have been in sight. Reason, however, could not overcome the fear Cabe felt when he dared to glance at his unholy companion. Frightened—and something else.

The job he has to do?

It feels so messy in his head. He frowned. His head has not felt straight since ..since ...

He could not think of that time. Something was blocking all such thoughts, protecting him.

Protecting him from the Dragon King.

They were now in the Barren Land. Despite the heavy rain, the ground under the nails of their mounts was dry and fragile. Such was the curse, because no matter how much water was poured into the Barren Land, nothing was absorbed. Instead, it just disappeared. Cabe knew that the Dragon Master was responsible for this.

They've seen. They already know. Brown's shot was the deadliest fighter. It is only because of this wastage that their strength is checked—but without purpose. The Dragon Monarch was still ruling, and the key to war and the magicians who had fought against them no longer existed.

Cabe looked up. The clouds above the Barren Land broke out; yet the storm still raged elsewhere. The rain giver did not dare to linger. If there is a cursed land, here it is.

The hissing sound of the Dragon King pierced through his mind. The masked figure stared at the ground as if looking for something. After a while, he got down and ordered Cabe to do the same.

"Wait here."

The firerakes ruler lurks into the sewage. Cabe waited, knowing that flight was stupid. Perhaps, he thought, the Dragon Monarch only wanted him to do a task. But somehow, that's not true. The Kings had more than enough servants capable of handling anything Cabe could.

Not long after that the others returned. Hand's empty. With great purpose, he walked over to Cabe and, with a single sweeping motion, pushed him to the ground. The huge sword hanging in its sheath now came out and pointed at the poor human.

The Dragon Monarch was a terrifying figure to look at. Burning eyes— yes, burning—light, flaming red. The dragonhelm seemed to smile at the predator's smile, and Cabe realized that he saw the true face behind the human form. In a pale light, the scales of the Dragon King's armor glittered brown. The sword, which was held in his left hand, did not shine. Instead, it looked as black as an abyss.

The not-so-sounding hiss reached Cabe's ears. “This used to be my land. They're not barren. In the past, they were the most abundant meadows and forests.” He glared at the shivering human with total hatred. "Until the time of the Dragon Masters!"

The tip of the sword swept over Cabe's veil. The King's eyes widened. “A witch! Last proof!”

The silver stripe in her hair was clearly visible. Cabe wished he really had all the power a witch should have. At least he would have a chance to escape. Why did he come with her? During this time, a part of him knew that the Dragon Monarch had intended to kill him.

The dark figure raised the sword as if it wanted to swing. “With the blood of the fire dragon slain with his own hands, Nathan Bedlam ruined the life of my clan! With the blood of his own relatives, I will restore that life!” The tip of the sword shouted towards Cabe.

The glittering end of the rod pierced through the front of the Dragon King's chest, his blade stopped right at Cabe's head.

Stifled by the sight, the human could only watch as the reptilian king stared at the arrow that had pierced through his body completely. An expression of incomprehension passed through what was slightly visible from his face. He touched the point carefully.

And fall forward.

Cabe had just made it out of the path of the Dragon Monarch's body. The body touched the ground with a thud. The black sword slipped from the grasp of his limp left hand and was thrown to one side.

Slowly, in disbelief, Cabe stood up. No one came to claim the shaft. There aren't. He looked at his feet, and the magnitude of the situation hit him for the first time. He was alone in the middle of the Barren Land, and at his feet was the ruler of that land.

Die.

TRIO dam firedrake, in human form, clawed and clawed a piece of emerald-colored amber on which stood the human form. They have clawed and clawed them in one form or another for decades, but never made a single mark in them.

A FURRY HAND moves a piece of ivory across the game board, and leans, seeking commentary from an opposing player whose mastery of the game makes every move a lesson.

"Brown seems to be in a weak position," that's all his friend said.

CABE GIGERLY TOOK the dark sword and hung it on her belt. It makes him feel a little better to be armed. He was arguing about what to do with the body. If he left it in its place, the dead Dragon King's people might consider this an act of shame and hunt him down. If he buried her, he might not have given a proper ceremony. Again, the subject may be looking for it.

He left it at his place.
