Dragon Realm
Episode 23

fight!” IX

BRONZE AND IRON.

Color wars. The powers.

The drakes swarmed the Tyber Mountains. A flash of iron. Bronze group. They came with one purpose. They came with one purpose.

They came for treason.

Great Iron, observing his legions, nodded in satisfaction. He was at the top of one of the larger mountains, leading his clan. Little Drake, his messenger, fluttered around him. They were his contacts with his commanders. They were also in contact with his ally, Bronze. Between the two of them, they would destroy the emperor while his legions marched into the Penacles. Iron will lead, with Bronze as a powerful addition to its strength. The Dragon Monarch would regain their momentum. Gold was weak, and should never have been an emperor.

There are pockets of resistance. A number of wyverns and basilisks died when unknown creatures of darkness attacked. Death does not bother him. There are always too many lower ones. In addition, the defenders were eventually raided and killed. The blood of the dragon flowed easily tonight.

In the distance, the battle cry of the Bronze clan rose to the peak of victory. His allies have broken through. Now is the time for the final push. Soon, Iron would put his jaw around his brother's neck and end his reign.

As his legion flowed into the cave that was Gold's house, Iron descended from the mountain. He will be there when the last defense is destroyed. That would prove the reason.

They met in the room where the Dragon Kings held a meeting. The bronze is there. He had ordered his commander to go and wait for his brother alone.

Iron observed the vast room. "Where is he? Where is our weak brother? ”

“I have searched high and low. He seems to have escaped underground. Maybe a hatchery spot.”

The Iron Dragon stepped towards the tunnel to the back of the room. As he approached her, she changed her shape. Lost is already the beast, in form but not in spirit. The masked figure of the Dragon King stepped into the entrance of the tunnel.

“She has gone this way. To do so, he must be in a similar form. Change and follow me!”

Bronze skeptics. "Are you sure this is wise?"

“He's alone, except the dam guarding. He will not sacrifice his eggs. If we choose to kill the emperor, he will not interfere. Coming!"

Two armored warriors, they lurked in the dark cave. The lack of light had little effect on them; their eyes were still like the eyes of a large reptile. Iron leads; Bronze guards their backside. They're not stupid. Despite being beaten up, their brother might still have some sort of defense.

The heat generated at the hatching site spreads towards them in wave after wave. They disregarded. Something dark broke free from the ceiling of the tunnel and flew to meet them. Iron killed him with a single blow of his sword. He laughed as he did, as he enjoyed the destruction of the enemy.

They came to the hatchery, and Iron stepped in. The old dam, a creature of incredible size even for a dragon, was watching him carefully. As long as he did not touch his accusation, he would leave it in peace. It didn't matter whether he was a king or not; his decision would be based on his actions.

Others joined him. "Is he here?"

“Are you stupid? Does it seem like he's here? We don't have any business in the hatchery! He must be further!"

They departed from the hatching place, instead of being without any sense of relief, and rose deeper into the depths of the mountain. A lot of time passed. This was an alien area for both conquerors. They were now in Gold's personal domain. The two moved closer to each other, and Bronze cursed inwardly for not bringing some of his legions with him.

“I don't like the proximity of this tunnel, Iron! We cannot get out of this human form!”

“Emperor can't either! He may know these caves, but it won't save him.”

"At least let me summon some of my clansmen!" Bronze was one of the few Dragon Kings capable of mastering any kind of telepathy. The other two were Iron and the emperor they wanted to overthrow.

The iron growled impatiently. "Very good! They better be here soon! I'm hungry for death!”

His eyes were empty, the others called out to his soldiers. He blinked. Iron looked at him with curiosity. Obviously something is wrong.

"healthy?"

Bronze looked at him. "I didn't get an answer to my call!"

"Wall wall-"

Frowning, Iron tried to summon his own clan. He only felt a great void, as if everything was no longer there. He stood up straight.

“This needs investigating! We have to go back to the room!”

"How about-"

“If there really is a trick, our brother will be close. In the room, we can return to our full form.”

Sword in hand, Iron marched away furiously. Bronze only paused for a moment and then quickly followed behind.

Nothing was blocking their way. They ignore the hatchery, knowing that the egg keeper will never allow magic near his troops. The path seemed faster and slower, and with each step, Iron's anger increased.

They stepped back into the board room.

Once out, their human form melted. They spread their wings nervously and observed the area. Nothing has changed.

"I still don't receive any news from my clan," murmured Bronze.

Something screams at night.

The dragon was a little scared. The Dragon Monarch was barely afraid of anything. Until this moment. The scream made their marrow extremely cold, yet, despite being shocked, they were still warriors. Angrily, Iron roared his challenge, and Bronze joined him. What could defeat the two strongest Dragon Kings?

“I've been waiting for you.” There was a mockery in that tone. They both know who is talking.

“Golden Brother! Show yourself!" Iron glanced here and there, waiting for an opportunity to attack.

"Here." Out of the small hole the emperor stepped in. Bronze laughs. Their brothers are in human form and do not seek to change. His death will be quick.

It screamed from behind them.

Bronze looked over worriedly. Iron, knowing that they had been tricked, tried to wrap his jaw around the small shape in front of him. Both burned. Nothing else in the room was touched.

Gold watched as their tattered remains burned to the ground. It swayed towards him and placed its rough head near his feet. The Dragon Emperor stroked her gently on the head. That thing cheered happily. Gold continued to stare at the burning and smelling masses. He knew with satisfaction that the same scene had been repeated many times outside.

The smile playing on his half-hidden face was neither dragon nor human, but the worst of the two.

"Good bye."

AZRAN FACES a hole that opens to the Plane of the Dead. The stench and rotten flesh bothered him, even though he had cast his strongest spell to repel the smell. Death is something that cannot be ignored, apparently.

The hole bubbled and released liquid. Azran was waiting for something to come out of the dirt. It took longer for him to recover than expected. There was little doubt in his mind that his son and the witch had arrived at the Penacles. Seeker hasn't returned. He had to go blind again.

The hand came out of the liquid. The old fortune teller nodded in satisfaction. A death guard rose to meet him, liquid dripping from his rotten flesh. Like a mixture of every dead creature, it stood one foot taller than Azran. The foul smell he brought over defeated the previous smell. The witch almost choked, but managed to maintain her composure and her entrails.

“Who are you looking for?” The voice is hoarse. Now and then, that changed completely.

He's tensing. “They know who I'm looking for! They're tied to me until I let go!”

"You're dead."

Azran tried to hide his discomfort. "Send me at once!"

"They're coming." The guard sank into the mud as soon as he spoke. When his head disappeared, Azran was greatly relieved.

He waited patiently now. Once ordered, the dead must obey.
